Nothing too exciting going on here! D is crazy as ever. We took her to child's shoe boutique and had her measured for her first pair of hard soled shoes. I had her just in soft soled shoes but with our trip to Disney she needed hard soled. We are currently on our way to WDW. D's 2nd trip. :). She starts daycare when we get back. I can't believe I will be adding another baby in 3 months.

@whenoceansrise: poor little dude. That explains his not nursing!

@MamaG: no paci weaning here. It should probably be on my radar but there's just too much happening in life right now.

@BandDmommy: Have so much fun at WDW I can't believe #3 is coming so soon!

No paci weaning here either. She only has nap and bedtime. She sleeps so great, I don't want to mess with her.

J has been totally crazy the past few days! Seems fine one moment and then freaking out the next. LOTS of crying and begging to be held, eating sometimes but refusing the next meal. Screamed throughout his whole bath tonight, which he usually loves. Waking up over night, but not even really crying. Just sort of moaning and sucking his thumb loudly on and off throughout the night
I really don't want to take both kids to the ped's tomorrow when there's nothing obviously wrong with him, but I think I better get his ears checked. I'm working a string of overnights this week so I want to get him antibiotics now if he needs them.

@MrsF: ohhh no! Man all these ear infections! Hopefully he is better ASAP!!!!

@MrsF: Ears are my go to response these days. Hopefully he can get to feeling better quickly.

@BandDmommy: I'm in this same camp regarding sleep. It wasn't on my mind to change things up until daycare told me they stopped offering it the whole week.

@BandDmommy: Have fun at WDW!
@MrsF: M did the same thing with baths not too long ago. His next bath was fine though (he discovered he can throw toys out of his whale tub & it makes noise LOL). He'll also be fine 1 sec & pitching a fit the next. I hope this is a phase that goes by quickly. Hope J feels better soon!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: ugh! Ryan has been like this the last few days and then lo and behold a fever last night.
Another effing fever. Both kids are disasters. We just got over a 3 week fiasco. The kids were home all last week no play dates no school. Wtf.

@winniebee: Congrats again on your new house! So impressed that Ryan is walking everywhere. AND sleeping!
@BandDmommy: Have fun at WDW!!! So jealous!!
@MrsF: Logan has been a mess lately too. Lots of crying and wanting to be held and not eating well. I know he's teething and he also has a cold, so I'm assuming that's part of it?? But I don't know. Hope J feels back to normal soon.

Sorry for all the sick kiddos! Commiserating here. K finished her antibiotics and dr checked and ear infection is gone thankfully, BUT, her nose started running again this weekend, and she developed this horrid looking rash all over her body. Dr said it's probably a virus working through. The rash seems like it's uncomfortable so he told us to get some benadryl just in case.
Between her fever/ear infection now this, I'm tired! She hasn't been sleeping well for so long! It's def harder to deal with not STTN when you've enjoyed it for so long!
She really is so much fun though. Walking around, yapping and talking so so much, it's so funny watching her! Everyone's been saying how smart she is, but that means she'll be a trouble maker!!

Ugh, long post and lost it!
@BandDmommy: Hope WDW goes well! Love Darcy's adorable outfits!
@whenoceansrise: 4 hours, I can't imagine with a toddler! Hopefully you don't have to go to the walk-in often!
@MamaG: No paci-weaning here either as E never took to them, but do need to work on bottle-weaning (once I get done Nursing) One thing at a time.
@MrsF: Hopefully he's okay, but I agree with wanting peace of mind just in-case he does have an ear infection.
@winniebee: Sorry for the sick kids but glad Ryan is finally STTN for you!!!

@snowjewelz: With you on the not sleeping well. I can't even bring E to bed with us anymore, he basically pitches a fit till I put him back in his crib! This is new, no more cuddles!
Had to bring E to the ped on Thursday... his circumcision skin had grown back together and tore apart Wednesday night (was bleeding and painful, poor guy). Covering it in antibiotic ointment and being better about 'pushing it out' once a day, thought this far along we'd be okay!
And as a result of the dr. visit... now E has a cold as well.

@josina: Ahh! That sounds so awful
@winniebee: I feel ya, but man I can't imagine x2!
@MrsF: Def go! K didn't have any symptoms for ear infection, I was so glad I decided to just go get her checked anyway!
@BandDmommy: Have fun!! I can't wait for the 3rd! You guys make some cute babies!

@whenoceansrise: Hoep M is okay! K has been sick back to back too and it sucks! Hang in there!

@MamaG: we are not weaning.. she went from not taking one to just taking one for sleep, and recently became obsessed with binky and looks for it!

@mamag: i'm in camp "one thing at a time" over here so we just night-weaned and will move on to pacifier weaning eventually. she only takes it in her bed, and doesn't really need it for naps. i'll probably just not have it in her bed anymore for that. nighttime i'm not messing with for now! i don't know if she really needs it, but she just started sleeping 7-7, and i'm not going to ruin anything that might be giving me extra time in the morning!
@banddmommy: have fun at disney! a vacation right now sounds awesome. we are headed to vail for MLK weekend, and i can't wait!
@mrsf: ugh! E is just constantly sick, getting over sickness, or coming down with sickness. i have a feeling it will be this way until the spring, at least! she was moaning a lot last night, but i think it might be another molar coming through.
@winniebee: how's the unpacking? did T start new school today?
@josina: that's one reason i'm glad i have girls
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: We're still in boxes, but I had help from my mom one day and then DH was off for 3 days so we got a lot done! lots of little things to do like home depot trips and we need a few furniture pieces so that's pretty time consuming. I feel like I need our nanny full time...and not work lol.

@snowjewelz: ohhh man poor K and mommy!!! Praying for healthy days for K soon!!!!
@josina: Yep, G can't come in our bed either for early morning wakes, she flips
Sorry about his cut sounds painful! Poor guy!!
Blahhhh back to work today... Teacher work day thankfully, but so ready to go get G!!!

Thanks ladies! I took the kids to the ped this morning and turns out J's ears are clear. Good news of course but now what he heck is making him so miserable?!? She saw one of his canines coming up (that would be tooth #13 ) so hopefully that's it...

@winniebee: @snowjewelz: @KayKay: All these germs! Last year was the winter of snow and this is apparently the winter of illnesses
@josina: Poor E! That sounds horrible Yikes!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: The canines were terrible for my T!! That's probably it.

@FaithFertility: Aww! Sorry you had a rough night!
So I learned that Benadryl makes K hyper instead of sleepy. And of course I decided to give it to her right before bed time last night. She was bonkers for 2 hrs!
Her rash is even worse today... It's all over her face too, she looks so diseased
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: Rough night! Sorry!
E was up from 1:30 to 2:30 last night too, finally took a bottle of warm water (after nursing) and fell back asleep. After that I shut the door though so I could sleep through... he 'might've' been up at 4 but slept then till 6:15.
Think I need to use the close-door policy more to cut out these MOTN wakeups! I'll cut him a little slack this week though since he's sick...
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: Do you think the rash could be HFM? Has she had a fever recently? Oo, you had her at the doctor, hopefully if it was/is HFM they would have recognized it.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: I suspect we are working on canines too. K's face was RED yesterday from drool and she was just scavenging for things to chew on. Thankfully she slept well. She will not let me look in her mouth or get a finger in there. I must get a toothbrush for her today.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: I hope so! She has not had a fever. Her last fever was the super high one that the ear infection brought on and that was 2 weeks ago.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Woof rough night for all. Ryan still is sick, high fever - cried at 9:15 and 11 last night but slept til 515 at least, then til 630 after some finagling. Naps are horrendous he just won't give in. My kids sleep less when sick. Yay.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: Acck high fever.. Hopefully ear infection doesn't follow!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: he's never had one (knock on wood) - this is day 3 of the fever if he's not better on Thursday, I'll take him in to get ears checked.
