@snowjewelz: What time does she wake in the morning and when is the am nap?
With K, she eats her lunch around 11:30a and goes to nap immediately following a diaper change. Meaning she's usually down by 12:30p (even at daycare). She naps for about 2 hours. Bedtime is 7:00p. She also typically stays in her bed until 7:00a

@snowjewelz: He's usually awake for 5 hours, so bedtime is around 7:00/7:30. Unless he's sick or extra grumpy - then he goes to bed early!

@MamaG: Well with the 9:30 bed time she's been waking at 7:30. At daycare, she naps from lets say 11:30-12:30 (sometimes less, sometimes more). Then she gets home at 2-2:30 and naps again from 3-4:30. We are thinking of now just letting her stay and if she naps again, it won't be long for sure.
On the weekends, She naps 10;30-11 ish then again from like 2:30-4 or 3-4:30. Her morning naps are always super short. She has done 1 nap here and there, but never for more than 2 hrs so we went back to 2 naps b/c she couldn't "make it" till bed time.

When K takes less than a 2 hour nap we notice it. Our evenings are hard anyway as we don't really get home until 6:00. We just plow through as quickly as we can (eat, bath) when she's cranky. When she takes a good nap we can be a little more flexible but on "normal" days she's never up past 7:30.

@snowjewelz: Yeah G goes 5-6hrs last stretch depending on nap!
Weekends it is more 4.5-5
I'm hoping to do 1 nap come.spring break so we can work on it at home more!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: Yeah, both aren't exactly win win situation haha. I get home at 6 so we don't eat till 6:30. At least we don't bath K everyday, and it does suck that I only see her for a little bit! But then when she doesn't sleep till 9:30 it's crazy also b/c we get nothing done and no time to even relax!
@FaithFertility: I just have to re-think all our weekend schedules now haha... 2 naps actually was working pretty well for us, esp when we're at church. Now I gotta re-think when she needs to eat lunch, etc! Good thing tho is she will be able to go to all these morning things that we miss now b/c it's right at her morning nap time!

@snowjewelz: Yep completely understand!! We do well with her 2 naps!
Wake enjoy morning walk play at home, breakfast nap till 10:30/11
Wake eat lunch then head out until 2nd nap
It will be an adjustment for sure

@MrsF: oh man, lots of head bumps here!! Esp when he was first learning to walk. And I feel like H constantly has bruises on his shins from knocking into things, climbing, etc.

@FaithFertility: I'm scared for my first AF I still haven't gotten it!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@theotherstark: Don't be scared! They aren't all scary. Mine were normal once they returned after I had Xander.

@snowjewelz: bedtime has been pushing later here, too, so I've been tempted to drop to one nap as well. But he still seems to get pretty tired in the morning? So I'm conflicted.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@theotherstark: awwww mine are heavy, but this month IDK, if it is because this is my first cycle after completely weaning her?!
It's a BEAST!

@Adira: when H has done one nap, that's what his schedule looked like too. And good to hear your AF has been normal!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@theotherstark: Yes, K gets tired too in the morning but I have read that you can help them push through by being out or doing something with them to keep them up and just start pushing that nap later and later.
K has taken just 1 nap here and there, it's just they're not long. But maybe we just have to suffer with short 1 naps and super early bed time for a little bit and then they will lengthen......

@theotherstark: mine have all been pretty normal if not easier!

@theotherstark: I just got my af back last week and it was surprising how mild it was. I was expecting it to be worse.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@theotherstark: Mine's actually not been too bad post partum. It's certainly heavier when on BCP though.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: That's so weird! AF was great when I was on BCP; on time, still heavy but not as heavy as now!
My pp periods are just beasts; I cannot wait to get pregnant again hahaha.

I'm absolutely exhausted today. If I could curl up under my desk at work and sleep, I would. I'm not sure what's going on but I just want to close my eyes.
And I have a really weird urge to SHOP but I'm not sure what for.

@winniebee: @MamaG: I was digging around HB for 1 nap posts and saw tons of posts when you guys were talking aout T and C
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: Are you saying I talk too much?
I hope you found something helpful, if you have questions, just shout. C moved to one nap right at a year and K did it even earlier. Two nap territory is such a foreign concept for me at this point.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: I just wanted to read a lot of what other ppl did! I just happened upon this one thread where you & winniebee were talking about T and C. I just thought wow what a throwback when they were the only LOs you guys and now #2 is already toddlers!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: lol! Yup that was 2.5 years ago ;). T never napped more than 1.5 hours on one nap....until almost age 2.5 right before he gave up his nap. So, I'm in no rush to get Ryan on one nap ;). R seems to nap longer than T ever did but I'm still scared!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan is still sick but hasn't had a fever in a few days so I haven't taken him in. Nasty nasty cold. I guess he could have an ear infection but it would be viral and pass on its own.
In other news I have pancake boobs again. Ryan still nurses a little before bed or early morning (or MOtN since he has been sick) but he's not getting much. Had to do a bottle MOtN a few times. Ugh!

@winniebee: Poor guy! Hope he is sleeping better for ya!
Ohh yeah pancake boobs over here too
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Wow! What was she eating? J must have eaten 2 adult servings of lasagna tonight!
@winniebee: Poor guy I hope he's feeling better soon.
And yes to the pancake boobs. Soooo sad over here
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: jealous of her eating! E ate good for breakfast but wouldn't eat lunch or dinner today. He snacked on gold fish and cheerios and got him to eat grapes but that's not gonna cut it especially when he's low on iron.
@winniebee: I have one pancake boob and one huge boob! Not good, lol. It's like the right is just done with milk and left is making up for it. No low cut tops for me!
E had his 2nd flu shot and chicken pox shot yesterday and the. 2nd blood draw to recheck his iron. Hoping it's better, I'll get the results Monday. I haven't gotten to talk to the ped. Yet since we just saw the nurse but she made the comment, "wow, thats low" so doesn't sound too assuring. It's at 9 and should be over 11.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: hope it goes up! Cheerios have a lot of iron, good snack choice!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@josina: You could also try cooking his food in a cast iron skillet!
R is finally on the mend. Still so MOODY and still waking up at night but at least we're over the worst of it. Have to get his lead levels checked Monday since we were living in an older home and they didn't check it at 12 months, but should have.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@josina: I hope your ped can give you some advice and reassurance tomorrow!
@winniebee: So glad R is doing better

@josina: Hope you get good news tomorrow!
@winniebee: Glad R is feeling better.
We're contemplating moving to a 3 bedroom apt when our lease is up the end of March. Not looking forward to trying to purge things & pack with a lil one. (Especially in this clingy phase!) LOL
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I've had pancake boobs for a a while after I weaned! But I don't know if I'm imagining it or not; they seem to have perked up a littttttle bit? Does that happen?! Regardless, they will never be what they were before!
Took 7 whole days but K's rash is finally all gone!
pear / 1961 posts
@josina: @winniebee: we do a lot of our cooking in cast iron and have never had a problem with iron counts either. i also eat a fair amount of red meat. who knows if either impact (i mean, theoretically they do). but hope you get good news today!
@angelicone: moving with kids isn't SO painful. especially if it means you are in a better/bigger space!
