@BandDmommy: such an easy girl, she will be a rock star as a big sister too!

So G is sleeping about 12-2:30 these days at her sitters! Amazing!!! I'm tempted to try 1 nap this weekend
Maybe we will join you guys in trying it @snowjelez

@winniebee: oops, am I supposed to be paying attention to those milestones?! Ha, Whoops.
@josina: little bookworms! I loved books when I was little, so it makes me happy. Sorry about the early wake ups
@snowjewelz: it's crazy! all yesterday and today, H would take his blanket and lovey from where I keep them on the couch and was opening the door to the laundry closet and sticking them in there. I was like, why do you keep putting those in there?? Finally realized that he was watching me put clothes etc in the washing machine (I'll often just stick his clothes in there when they're dirty, rather than in the hamper), and was putting them in there like I do! Just couldn't reach up to the actual washer
@MamaG: when h was sick last week he barely ate anything (solids-wise). Maybe she is fighting off something?

Ya'll, I think we're close to weaning. R didn't seem to want to nurse before bed last night and so I didn't offer before bed tonight. We still have had the occasional 5 am nursing, but I'm guessing that will go by the wayside too. 13 months, 1 week. I'm a little sad, but mostly shocked and proud that I hung in so long.

@winniebee: Good for you!! I miss it but, she did it herself like R seems to be so it made it much easier

K was pretty irritable by the time I picked her up tonight. She ate some dinner and cried a lot. Took her temp afterward and low grade fever. Since if was almost bedtime we gave her Advil. She's been asleep an hour and I see a drool puddle in her bed. Ugh. She's definitely fighting something.

@MamaG: aww poor girl. I hope she fights it off and it doesn't get any worse!

@winniebee: you should absolutely be proud! wasn't your goal 6 months or something? and all those months of dairy free! way to go mama
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@winniebee: You did awesome making it so long esp. with the dairy free!!! We are pretty close to weaning also. I dropped the 6 pm session and he hasn't noticed and haven't been nursing before bed either, so we're just doing overnights right now. This morning though he was ripping the blankets off me so he could nurse. I'm ready to be done as there isn't much milk left!
@MamaG: Oh no, poor girl!

Nicely done on the nursing ladies. Y'all rock.
K is home with Daddy today. Went to check her temp at 2:30a and she threw up on Daddy. Not sure what it is but hopefully it passes soon.

@FaithFertility: Maybe! Teacher told my mom that K is the last one to fall asleep, haha. She is still not consistent.. Some days her naps there are pretty long, some days not. We're still more or less in 2 nap limbo. And then we keep saying we should try 1 nap at home, and then we get so scared, hahaha! We're crazy!
@winniebee: It is something to be proud about! You did an amazing job!
@theotherstark: That is too cute! I can just imagine H running around doing all these things. So cute.
@MamaG: Aww poor baby! I hope whatever she has will pass soon!

@winniebee: good job! we're only nursing in the morning and before bed. no more pumping! however, i do not see the morning/before bed nursing sessions to end anytime soon. this morning he wanted to nurse fo 45 minutes!

@theotherstark: he's so smart! i need to start narrating what i'm doing more often!

so, question about morning wake ups. micah has started waking up between 5:00-5:30 but he just sits up in his crib. no crying or fussing. i've been going in and getting him and starting the day but maybe i should wait it out a little and see if he'll fall back asleep? do you ladies usually get them up when they wake up or when they start fussing?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@whenoceansrise: I leave Ryan until he fusses. Sometimes he'll play for 15 mins sometimes fuss right away!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: ohh i would totally leave him if he's not doing anything, esp that early!! since k sleeps with us, when she wakes up even at normal time, i play dead until she gets annoyed hahaha. i will take any minute of rest i can get!

@winniebee: Great job on the nursing!
@whenoceansrise: M will sometimes wake up around 6am & fuss a little, but he goes back down within 5 minutes, until about 7am. Then he's up and talking or playing with his blanket until about 7:30am or so.
@MamaG: Poor K! Hope she feels better soon.
@theotherstark: Too cute! M likes to push the buttons on the remotes because he saw us do it one day. (Now he knows how to record stuff on our Tivo LOL)
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@AngelicOne: K knows where the remotes are, asks for them, and if she has it in her hand, she presses it and points it to the TV and gets mad if it doesn't turn on
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@winniebee: @whenoceansrise: @AngelicOne: Um, I'm really jealous that they wake up and play in their crib! Ethan SCREAMS/cry's almost always! Occasionally for naps he'll wake up quietly but not often...
Is there a way to change that?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@josina: I think every kid is just different this way! My older wakes up quietly in the morning but often woke from naps yelling!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: Oh no I hope she's feeling better!
@whenoceansrise: I would definitely let him hang out and see if he goes back down. If they're not complaining I'm not getting up!
@AngelicOne: @snowjewelz: I just had to add a password to our TV because J rented a movie last week!

Ladies, a GI bug has descended upon us . M was up all night throwing up. We literally ran out of both sheets and PJs and had to improvise. DH and I ended up just trading out napping on her floor because it was every few minutes. Now J has horrible diarrhea (like blowouts so bad we have to put him in the tub to take his clothes off). I must have done 12 loads of laundry since midnight. I just looked down and realized I have poop on the leg of my pants and both kids have been napping for 90 minutes so that's pretty gross...
send healthy thoughts!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: oh noooooo! sending many many many healthy thoughts and chasing those germs away!!!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: I'm sorry. That sucks. I hope nap serves them both well and they wake up feeling somewhat better.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@josina: h is the same - immediately fussing/crying/screaming. I wish he would wake up and play quietly in the crib! Haha.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@whenoceansrise: I would just leave him until he starts crying!!
