@FaithFertility: It's great practice! K fed herself soup with the spoon.. Of course.. Most of the soup ended up NOT in her mouth...
But she screams if I try to help her. Geeez!

@snowjewelz: awwww! She is getting it good! So fun to watch them grow..but.....

@snowjewelz: lol, yeah I think DH was a little surprised to turn around and see that, but not worried enough that he couldn't take the time to send me a snapchat of it!
@FaithFertility: lol, I don't even own baby forks yet, just spoons! Time to get some it sounds like!

@josina: she always grabs for mine so I thought hey why not.....careful he might become an addict too...lol
I mean some things are just too small or soft, but try telling that to them

@FaithFertility: haha! we need to start letting micah try to eat with a fork or a spoon but i selfishly just feed him myself because i want to avoid a big mess.

@FaithFertility: we are buried! ryan wears a onesie, fleece sleeper, fleece sleep sack to bed. I keep his area of house at 70 at night (our room is 60!) but his room tends to be cooler.

@winniebee: man I have such anxiety tonight lol
Will she be too cold too hot etc

@FaithFertility: aww! Just saw your IG - too cute I always give H a fork and/or spoon, ndepending, with each meal. Then he has the option of using the utensil or his fingers!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@FaithFertility: ah that is cold for where you are!! I mentioned on your IG, but we had a high of 24 today brrrrr. Finally getting some winter weather.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: very cold for Florida, but I'm looking forward to Wednesdays high of 30! We had -30° windchills this morning!

Ethan was so cute tonight; I asked him if he wanted to go to bed and he walked straight to his crib and waited for me to tuck him in. Adorable.

@theotherstark: @josina: well I turned up the heat to 74 she is currently still sleeping STTN so I guess she was cozy!!!!!!
We have a pretty cold week, nothing like you all but 60s for day and 40-30 at night

@josina: That is adorable! G is starting to show signs of being ready for bed she will lay on the rug in living room, so cute!!!
Gosh they are growing up!!!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@FaithFertility: aw, glad she stayed toasty warm!
@josina: eek, so cold! We had windchills of around 0 today and I was feeling grumbly about the weather so cute he went to bed on his own!
Finally felt like I had to order snow boots for H! We should be getting some snow this weekend. The only color they had in his size in the boot I wanted was purple. And he is currently obsessed with the color purple, so I am excited for him to see his new purple boots

@theotherstark: they are certainly building it up!! Wonder if it will happen
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@BandDmommy: right?! Possible it will go the way of many of these hyped DC area "storms," and amount to nothing. We will see!

@theotherstark: love that H is getting some purple boots!
Been MIA for the last week or so, but reading. We were on vacation out to ski. Aside from the random stomach bug that hit K on the drive there/first night, it was great. E got lots of solo time with her old babysitters while the rest of us skied.
It's currently 8 degrees here. Yeeeeeah.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: glad you had fun! You've got me beat. It's 12 degrees here, "feels like" 1 degree. The icicles have formed icicles.

Ugh where did this cold weather come from! 16 degrees.. And possibly snowmagedon starting Friday. What happened to the mild winter???? I have no snow stuff for either kid. D is nursing her first cold. No fever so she was able to go to daycare today.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@BandDmommy: awe poor D!
So cold, we are the coldest we have been all winter!
Which I know I is nothing, but why now?! We were 80 in December!!
persimmon / 1050 posts
@BandDmommy: BRRR! I'm happy that we finally have our high 60's/low 70's back. It's been entirely too cold out this way (for us anyways LOL)
@theotherstark: Cute! I wish I had purple snow boots
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BandDmommy: It just depends if you plan on letting your kids play outside in the snow. If not and you plan on being inside and/or just going to and from places, I don't think you need to get anything.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BandDmommy: He'll need winter boots (you can probably get away with something versatile, like Bogs...we have Bogs as well as Kamik boots, the ones that open up with Velcro); a winter jacket, snow pants, hat and waterproof mittens. I always put on the mittens before the jacket that way there are no gaps between the mitten and cuff. I wouldn't bother with under layers or wool socks since he probably won't be outside all day. I would just dress him in layers (maybe jammie bottoms beneath sweat pants). I got a second pair of snow pants for T for school at Target (Cherokee brand); you may be able to find mittens there as well. They are totally fine, and 1/4 the price of his Spyder snowpants.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@BandDmommy: I don't have any snow gear for K! I don't even know if she'll even really play in the snow. Plus I don't even know what's happening with the storm this weekend!
@winniebee: I was thinking of just grabbing cheap stuff at Target too if I do end up wanting K to go outside to play with snow. I doubt she'll really be able to do THAT much anyway wearing all this bulky stuff!
Took a mental health day yesterday! DH and I went to see Star Wars b/c tickets are $8 on Tuesdays. Sat with all these elderly people lol, it was great!
But made the mistake of going to drop K off w/ DH... She was not happy when I left! Oops.
Diaper rash still there but getting better and better! Plsss just clear up already!

@BandDmommy: Last year when we got snow in Texas, C absolutely wanted to go out and play. She had a winter jacket and hat and that was about it. The rest of it was improvising. I put on leggings and a pair of her fleece pj bottoms and a pair of fleece pants. We also doubled up on top, a t-shirt, fleece pj top and her winter jacket. She wore my scarf and mittens of hers that were way too small! We put her in a pair of her ugg style boots. She certainly wasn't waterproof!
If you have rain boots, I'd use those as well (what we have now should we get snow).
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: That's a good idea.. Just double or triple up! I can imagine doing that if we're just gonna be outside for a little bit, before she really gets wet!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan's on day 3 of diahhrea 4-5x a day. I thought it was fruit overload but I'm guessing it's a bug at this point.

@banddmommy: if you have a columbia outlet near you, they have great deals on quality stuff. Kate is on her 3rd year of the same snowpants and 2nd of her ski coat -- they have held-up well (we bought big...and haven't even cut the insert that will add length to both). also, rain boots could definitely work instead of buying snow boots.
@winniebee: blah. i'm definitely over the winter sickness retread. already. and it's not like we can avoid it -- we'd never leave the house!
