@ChiCalGoBee: I'm still not totally back to normal yet. I'm 4 weeks PP. It's still hard getting in and out of bed. At my 6 week appointment I'm going to ask my doctor if I can start doing exercises to build back my stomach muscles. I will have to have another c-section if I have another child because of the shape of my pelvic bone & I'm glad that I won't have to go through labor again but I kind of felt like I "failed" at delivery though because I couldn't deliver vaginally.

@whenoceansrise: omg don't say you failed, you got your baby out healthy

@whenoceansrise: You definitely didn't fail!!! You have a healthy beautiful boy that you nurtured and brought into this world! It doesn't matter how he got here! And you certainly can't help the shape of you pelvic bone.

@MamaG: So glad to hear your second recovery went well! I'm inclined to go this way, but wondered what it would be like the second time around. If you don't mind me asking, is your scar about the same, worse, etc.?
@whenoceansrise: Sorry you're still having a hard time getting in and out of bed-that was so frustrating for me, too! I had to use our headboard to pull myself up and down-so hard. N couldn't fit past my pelvic bone, either...I stalled at 4 cm for five hours and he came out with a huge red line on his head from trying so hard to descend, but he couldn't. I know what you mean about feeling some failure about a vaginal delivery. I totally have moments where I feel that way, but then I remember I was in labor for 30 hours, contracting 1 minute apart by the end, and I still never made it past 4. Without a c-section who knows what would have happened! I'm just glad you and M, and N and I are healthy:-). No failure-only beautiful, healthy babies and mamas!

@Adira: thank you I wish I could have delivered vaginally but am so thankful to have a healthy baby
@ChiCalGoBee: dang girl! That sounds rough! I made it to a 10 on pitocin and pushed for an hour and couldn't get Micah passed my pelvic bone. I swear my pelvic bone was bruised afterwards!

Day 3 of Logan being wide awake for four hours in the evening. But it's been followed by a decent stretch of sleep, so I'm hoping tonight is the same. He just fell asleep, so I guess that means I need to go to bed soon to maximize my own sleep!

??? G will pass out but if burped will wake? Any one else? It makes me not want to burp her but I don't her to get gassy?

@ChiCalGoBee: I actually think my scar is "better" this time. It's the same size. My prior scar was a little raised whereas this time it's flat. I will never wear a bikini or be in the shape where my scar is seen by anyone other than DH so it really doesn't phase me.
I think K needs bigger bottles. She's eating on an accelerated schedule at daycare. I told them to feed her earlier than 3 hours if she's showing signs of hunger. I'll try it out this weekend (again) and see how she does. Last time I tried to increase them, it led to more spit up.

@whenoceansrise: aww please don't say you failed! You got your babe out healthy...

@FaithFertility: yep, same! Usually the burps are so big, so I can understand why he wakes up. I have been able to get away with not burping him at every feed though. I try for every other feed at night.

@josina: good luck! Tell us how it goes! I have to say, I have crazy respect for you moms who go back to work at 6 weeks. I barely want to leave the house!
@Adira: dude, go to bed. Are you able to keep Logan up during the day? It is impossible for me to keep him awake!! He just sleeps...and it's only when DD is at home is he unable to sleep bc she is so damn loud!

A has a cold and is sooo congested at night. He was waking up every hour. Im happy for those who are getting longer stretches. I hope my time will soon come!

@Adira: hope you've gotten some sleep by now! Those evening gussies are killer. M
@FaithFertility: at night I don't bother burping unless he won't go back down or is fussing.
@josina: good luck!
@Freckles: sorry to hear about the cold
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: @Freckles: @MrsF: I went to bed! And Logan slept six hours again!!!
@Freckles: Logan has been sleeping a LOT during the day! Yesterday he was up for an hour after I fed him at 8:00 and then again after I fed him at 10:00, but then he pretty much slept the rest of the day until 5:30, which is when he was up for four hours. I'm sorry to hear that your LO is sick!! Hope he feels better soon and you all can get some sleep.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Are you nursing? Supposedly breastfed babies don't need to be burped as much. I generally don't burp Logan in the middle of the night unless I want to keep him awake because we're switching sides or he's showing signs of discomfort.

@Adira: yay for long stretches! I'm trying a mommy boot camp today. So excited! It's baby/toddler friendly so we will see how it goes. I've lost all the baby weight but I want to get back to my skinny weight. I think this plus my normal hour long workout on elliptical will get me there.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: Wow, good for you! I kind of fell off the band wagon and haven't been working out or eating well. I need to get back into it. I don't want to return to work at the weight I am.

@Freckles: ugh I'm sorry about the cold! We have all been sick including the baby and it sucks! The mosefrieda helps but not totally and even a week later he is still so stuffy. Hope it resolves soon!
Awake all day yesterday but crappy little nursing sessions since he was so tired = up every 1.5 hrs to eat all night.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: I'm hoping that he eventually becomes the rock star sleeper of the group. Ha!!!

@Adira: ohh yeah I'm nursing, I will try to skip it at our 1-2a.m. feeding that seems to wake her

@winniebee: Ughhh long night, sorry! I hope he too becomes a sleeping rockstar
honeydew / 7444 posts
@BandDmommy: congrats on losing all the baby weight! I'm so jealous you're working out already! I sometimes think that if I went into labour at 37 weeks I wouldn't have my stretch marks or that extra 5lbs or so! I have 18 lbs to go to get to my pre-preg weight but I will be okay with losing 10-15 for now.
@winniebee: I hope you guys get better soon. These frequent wakings suck!! I find I have to use the nasal spray a few times before I sick the snot out with the nose frida. I was up for over an hour at 5am...cursing DH who was sleeping in the guest room.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: yeah same here. at night I don't burp her after but during the day I usually do. When I don't she does spit up a bit more.. She prob takes in more air with a nipple shield.
I'm STILL at the exact same weight!
I think we are in the 6 wk growth spurt (she is 6 we today). Nursing nonstop and so fussy. At like 3am she was moving so much and making so much noise I just picked her up and plopped her my my chest and we both slept till past 7!
And I think k is out of nb size! She is skinny but getting long! I have a few 0-3 that fit great but I think 3 mo is a lil big still.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: Interesting, I just got all of our 3-6M clothes out last night and am starting to rotate them into the dresser. Lengthwise, the 0-3M clothes are all pretty snug on K. I have a big girl though, I fully expect her to be 12 lbs next week at her two month well visit. We also probably aren't terribly far away from moving to size 2 diapers, either.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@snowjewelz: @MamaG: A is already 13 lbs at 6 weeks so the 0-3 month sleepers are really snug depending on what store it's from, and is in the 3-6 month onesies. He is soo heavy...I thought one of the good things about having a newborn was that they were small and light!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: @Freckles: K is still in NB diapers but prob not for long! Her thighs are chunky haha.
She is only expected to be 8 lbs at 2 months since she was 7.11 at 1 month.
It is so hard to figure out clothing! There is this cute 0-3 outfit that I haven't put her in yet!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: @Freckles: @MamaG: Xander's still in 0-3/3M clothing. Some of it seems snug, but others seem to fit perfectly. I don't think we're ready for the next size yet! I think he's probably around 12 lbs. It's interesting the different sizes of our babies!
honeydew / 7444 posts
@snowjewelz: we are on #2 diapers! DH bought two boxes of #1s last week and I'm all "what are you doing? I told you he is already 12 lbs!" I tried not to buy too many nice NB clothing for that reason though.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
We're in newborn diapers but probably not for long. Ryan is 7.5 lbs now but he's long for his weight and has a long torso and we've had some poo leaks lately so I think we'll be moving up once we run out of the current pack of NB. He's still in newborn clothing mostly, but 0-3 fits him now too - particularly sleepers and one pieces from Gap and Gymboree.
eggplant / 11861 posts
We are in NB diapers too, but I think we will be moving out soon... but DH purchased 100 from amazon that was delivered the other day we had a gift card.... so I am hoping we can use them a little longer......lol
She is getting so big, barley looks like the same baby we brought home!!! She is a month Saturday!
I am loving being a Mommy, and my co-workers the other day said how much they miss me and I do miss them, but I am de NOT missing work..lol There is no where else I'd rather be!!!!
Who is ready for the BIG Game Sunday I know there are Colt and Pat fans here ???

@FaithFertility: so pumped for the game! Go pats!!!!
