I am back down to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I have some killer stretch marks. This mama will probably never wear a bikini again.
M is still in newborn diapers and clothing. Some of his 0-3 month do fit him though!

@FaithFertility: awesome! I have a friend who is a baby wearing pro coming over tonight to help me figure out my sling. I can't wait to be able to be more hands free!

@snowjewelz: Wow, they are only expecting K to gain 5 oz in a month? That seems really low to me. I thought I saw someone say their little was gaining about 1 oz per day and someone else say 7 oz per week (which is the same thing). Do you know why they are expecting such a small gain in a month time for K?
My K was just under 8 lbs at birth and I'm not surprised that she's gained this 4 lbs in 2 months time.

@whenoceansrise: you can absolutely wear a bikini! I had some bad stretch marks with LO1 but you know what, I still wore a bikini to mommy and me swim at 6 months. They faded and weren't as angry looking by then.

@FaithFertility: baby wearing is where it's at! I couldn't do anything without it. Glad it is working for you!

@MamaG: maybe I heard wrong then, I think she is supposed go gain .5 to 1 oz a day or something like that! She did gain over a lb in just 2 weeks!
I spent all her nap time this morning re organizing her closets/clothes... I have yet to find a system I really like!
I got ANOTHER bill from my OB today... Ugh I have already paid over 3k already probably and I have no paycheck!

J's size 1 diapers and 0-3 month sleepers are both looking snug! I can't get over how but he is at 7 weeks when M was still so tiny. We had to buy the large size swaddle me's for him when M never needed them.
And GO PATS Can't wait for the game! I'll have to get some pics of the kids in their Patriots gear.

@whenoceansrise: I read that stretch marks fade between 6 mo to a year so they def won't look so bad! I haven't worn a bikini in sea long time to begin with. I like tankinis! Now I'm thinking about the beach and the pool, bleh!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MamaG: yeah Ryan has been gaining about 1/2 lb a week and my first did the same through 2 mos. I would guess he will be about 8.5 lbs at 2 mos.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Oh I think I'm ditching the swaddle at might. It doesn't seem to help lengthen his sleep and frankly he spends a lot of time just fighting it and trying to bust out.

@snowjewelz: gahh! I am so ready for warm weather..& I want to plan a trip to the beach this summer!

Bizarro world- my newborn out slept my 2.5 year old... D slept for 9 hours. B slept 8 and woke up with night terrors. He went back down for few more hours.
Had awesome workout. It kicked my butt! It was like Jillian Michaels on steroids.

@Freckles: I wish I could make it past 37 weeks. Only reason I made it to 37 weeks was progesterone.

@MrsF: yes! Go pats! I will take pictures of my lo's in their gear as well!!
Emily will be 1 month tomorrow! We are in 0-3 month clothing (she outgrew newborn) and we are in size 1 diapers! She barely fit in newborn diapers at birth so we used them at the hospital and then switched to size 1 when we got home!

@BandDmommy: We can be outnumbered together, Go Pack Go!
Did D have her 2 month well visit/shots today? If I'm remembering correctly, she goes today.
pomelo / 5660 posts
@MamaG: yes, this afternoon
D is in size 0 - 3 months and size 1 diaper.

Ah, I can't respond to everyone! This thread moves too fast H is too big for most of his 0-3 clothes now - only a few sleepers still fit him, so he's moved up to 3-6
And I think we are going to have to switch to size 2 diapers in the next few days. He had gained 3 lbs at his 1 month check up two weeks ago, so I am really curious to see where he is at the two month!!
I am down a few pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I was a bit over my comfortable weight at that point, so I'm hoping to slough off a few pounds yet. And my tummy still feels pretty flabby, so I'm looking forward to attempting to get into somewhat reasonable shape again BTW, when does the linea negra fade?? Mine is still just hanging out...
And I'm going to throw out Go Seahawks!!

@winniebee: H fights the swaddle HARD when we first put him in, usually. And then he gets a little grunty when he wakes up and tries to bust out. But it makes him sleep sooo much better!! Sorry it doesn't lengthen R's sleep - hopefully not swaddling him will help! Would it help to swaddle just lower body, with arms free?
nectarine / 2028 posts
@theotherstark: N feels the same way about the swaddle. He fights it hard (and usually a tiny fist creeps out by morning!), but if I don't do it he constantly wakes up. Our pediatrician even recommended doing it for daytime naps and it has helped. We'll transition from the swaddle to the Merlin Sleep Suit (I got one secondhand and I'm anxious to try it).
Congrats to all who are at pre-preggo weight! I have a couple lbs to lose to get there, but I'm back to running 2-3 times a week which feels great. I also don't want my BM supply to tank, so I'm being mindful of not killing myself to lose the last few lbs. It'll come in good time! Most of my pre-preggo clothes fit (save for tops...I typically have a small chest so this is a new phenomenon!), so I'm happy to get back into them!
N is in 0-3 month and some 3 month things. He can still wear size 1 diapers, but I've been putting him in 2s sometimes to prevent "poop-spolosions."
@MamaG: I'm a Bears fan.....so I have to at your GO PAC GO comment!

Is my Kara the smallest baby here? Lol I am tiny tho so maybe she got all my genes!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I still have no clue if we should swaddle or not and she is 6 weeks already! Do you guys swaddle before they need to sleep? Or swaddle and then feed?
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: even though I'm at my pre-preg weight, I still don't fit into my jeans I think my hips widened!! So weird. So I'm slogging on in my maternity jeans, which are constantly sagging because they don't have a baby belly to hold them up. Mostly, I just wear leggings
@snowjewelz: I usually swaddle after he's eaten.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: we ditched the swaddle weeks ago, she hated it......would kick and kick to get her legs out! It truly made no difference!
@theotherstark: ohhh I still have my line too, weird.....looking..lol
@snowjewelz: G always hated her arms swaddled and started to fight it, so we ditched it, but I would swaddle before her feeding so of she pasted out I could just lay her down!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: @MrsF: @cheert16: Yes! Go Pats!!
@MamaG: @snowjewelz: The LC I saw said that the average weight gain is 4-7 oz a week.
@winniebee: We've ditched the swaddle (or swaddle from chest down). Arms are free and he's sleeping fine! I'd definitely encourage ditching the swaddle early because then you won't have to swaddle wean later, which I've heard is hard!
@BandDmommy: 9 hours!!! That's awesome!!! Jealous!

@theotherstark: I know, there are some days I can't get to the thread and it has already moved 3-4 pages! Mine completely faded after 1 year.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@winniebee: yeah, mine just grunts and fights the swaddle that i don't think it is worth it.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@snowjewelz: haha it could also be bc she is a girl? My first was not as big as this guy!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: nope Ryan is smallest! He was 5 lb 6 oz and 19 in when born! He's now 7.5 lbs or more and not sure how long at 2 wks he was 20 inches. I'm small only 5'2 and 110 lb pre preg and my husband is only 5'6. Put other son is still a peanut at 2.5 years old!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@winniebee: aghh peanut! Darcy was 5 lbs 14 ounces. Huge compared to her brother who was 4 lbs 8 ounces.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BandDmommy: She's gotten much bigger already, too! Ryan's big compared to his brother, too! T was 5 lb 5 oz but only 17.5 inches!!!!!! And we're talking about 38 week babies here. I have small kids
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelez: I don't recall K's birth size, but I didn't remember her being tiny. I bet she's grown more than you realize already (or have you weighed her?).
My DH didn't realize how big our K got until he lifted her in the carseat for the first time in about 2 weeks. I think it's hard to see when you are with them all day everyday.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@BandDmommy: How did Darcy do at her appointment today? We have ours on Monday and shots make me nervous.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: she def had gotten heavier for sure since im holding snd rocking her constantly!
She was 6 lb 4 oz at birth and last time we checked at 1 mo she was 7 lbs 11 oz.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
I'm feeling good about my freezer stash. I have 120 oz as of today! I haven't been pumping much during the day, but have been getting a great amount in the middle of the night. The last two nights, I got 5-6 oz just from my MOTN pumping session. I'm kind of nervous about what will happen when Logan starts sleeping even longer and I go longer between feeds/pumping. I don't want my supply to diminish. It seems so good right now!
honeydew / 7444 posts
@Adira: whoa mama that is awesome!! I think I only have like 24oz. Hahaha. But he doesn't giver long enough stretches to have a good pump session.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
Good first day of work although I'm exhausted! I had <2 hrs stretches last night and then would've had 3 hours but woke up at 2 anyways.
Ethan was super smiley this morning too, I swear hr almost giggled.
Laying on the couch now with E sleeping on me. Definitely glad that I am doing 2 half days to start.
I'm thinking Ethan is around 12 lbs (based on weighing myself, then myself +him). He'll be 2 months next week and was 9 lbs at 2 wks. He's getting to be a little chunker.
Pumping today... I pumped twice at work and got. 9 oz. Which is an ounce more than what he ate at home with daddy, so good but I'd like more so I can get ahead. I only have around 30 oz in the freezer.
I am 5 lbs over pp weight. @theotherstark: I think my hips widened too! It took 5 wks to finally get my jeans up over my hips! I can wear them now just need a ponytail to extend the button.
@Adira: jeoulous of your stash!
You guys are definitely making me think I shouldn't have bought the case of size 1 diapers I just ordered! I didn't even check the weights, just figured he'd me in them at least a month like the nb.
I think Ethan is pretty tall too, he's too tall for some of his 0-3 month stuff already.

Just got back from doctors appointment. She got 4 shots. She weighs 10 lbs 8 ounces. Doctor is very happy with Her growth.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@BandDmommy: Very nice growth! Eww, on four shots. I was remembering 2 from C. I'm not looking forward to shots. I remember crying when C got them.
