I took H with me to my apt - no other choice since my husband is back at work! He slept the whole time, thankfully. I was worried!!

Thanks ladies, it's not great news, but not horrible either. She is having some chest retractions and wheezing. She responded to a breathing treatment with reduced wheezing. So we are on breathing treatments every four hours until we see her pedi tomorrow at 2p for her well visit. I want to be optimistic! But the urgent care sort of freaks me out with the "over informing". Giving me a map to the children's ER, while I know this is important, I don't want to think about that as being a real possibility for tonight.
Seriously, can I hurry up time and make her older, stronger and the germ season less prevalent? I know I'm supposed to enjoy this stage and not rush her growing up, but I want time to speed up, NOW!

@MamaG: Oh no, so sorry you are going through that! I hope K does well tonight! This is such a scary season to have a new baby

@MamaG: I'm sorry! Is she on albuterol? Xander has had to ne on breathing treatments a bunch, so I know how scary that can be. Although never so young, so that makes it even scarier for you. Is she responding well to the treatments?

@winniebee: I hope Zantac helps! I hear you about the post pardon physique. I worked out for a couple weeks, but have totally stopped and am not loving my body at the moment. I really need to diet, but I'm afraid of losing my supply. Good luck getting back into the swing of things!

Ugh, after a week of Logan sleeping 5-6 hour stretches, he only gave me 3.5 tonight. And now he's wide awake and refusing to go back to sleep. I'm tired! Although I know some of you moms have never gotten longer stretches so I probably shouldn't complain.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
I've been shushing Logan for 40+ minutes now. I just want him to go to sleep so I can go to sleep. I think I'm going to skip pumping tonight!

@winniebee: yikes I hope you are able to find meds that will help him! I hope this is it!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: I know what you mean about wanting her just to be a little older to have a better immune system! She will by the time this is over!

@Adira: the worst is that they are unpredictable! I hope he is back to sleep now! Mine pooped do I had to change and now feeding on the other side!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: I hope K went back to sleep easily enough once you were done feeding. Logan finally fell asleep after 50 minutes, but two hours later we're up again. I just hope he'll go back to sleep okay after this feeding.

@winniebee: I hope the Zantac helps! It wasn't great for M but we moved on to Prilosec and things got much better. She would cry every time she burped or spit up

@MamaG: glad you were able to take her home. I hope she's feeling better this morning!

@Adira: the unpredictability is what kills me. I hope L went back to sleep for you!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@Adira: yes she's on albuterol. She did great at 1:00 and slept right through the treatment. The one we just finished also was good. Only minimal crying. She is swaddled which helps immensely.

@MamaG: ughhh I'm sorry it must be scary, glad she is responding to medd!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: yeah she slept for almost 4 hrs after that! I still always hope for no pooping MOTN tho! I'm glad Logan eventually went back to sleep too. Hopefully he will give you the long stretches again
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: Thankfully he went back to sleep easily enough the second time!
@MamaG: Are you using a nebulizer? Albuterol works wonders for Xander, so I'm glad it's working for you guys. What time is your appointment today?
@snowjewelz: YAY for a 4 hour stretch! And Logan just recently stopped pooping so much (he's 7 weeks), so hopefully K will stop soon too!

Lol, pretty jeolous of you guys that can complain about a 3.5 hour stretch, I rejoice. last night we were back to 2 hours tops. I am lucky thiugh in that he always goes right back to bed. At least I remembered my wallet this morning and got my cappacino.
Has anyone been getting unsolicited advice about getting baby to sleep longer? I was ambushed at my Mil's this weekend and told to start putting oatmeal in his bottles BC sil and mil both did. I refuse to after reading how bad it can be for them. And sil's little boy was 20 lbs at 4 months old... I'm betting the oatmeal at 1 day old is the cause of that. I was pretty annoyed after, esp since neither of these ladies breastfed. I know they mean well though.
@MamaG: I hope she gets better quickly. I am terrified of this as well. I know rsv is going around the local daycares.

@josina: the unsolicited advice is always so unhelpful! half the time it's out of date and not something people typically do anymore.
@mamag: hope everything is going well with the little sickie!
pretty sure E was hitting her wonder week (8 weeks old) over the weekend -- she was super-clingy and not napping well. but it helps knowing what it might be so i can worry less and just snuggle her more!

@josina: it seems like MILs are always the queens of the unsolicited advice

I feel like an animal, I am hungry 24/7 I know it is due to BF, but I seriously think about food all day....lol I eat/crave more now than when I was PG!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: I'm def hungry all the time too but I am usually too tired to care what I eat! I'm good as long as someone gives me food to eat lol

@josina: ugh I am sorry! I totally feel you. We had friends over yesterday and when the mom saw me rocking kara to sleep she was like THATS what you have to do?! Made me feel s bit defensive!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: she is pooping less too, just poops at the most inconvenient times!

We finally had a long stretch last night after two horrible nights since ditching the swing. It still literally took 2 hours to get him to sleep and he was up early for the day but at least he had a solid stretch in there!

@FaithFertility: I'm hungry all the time and my choices are so limited with the elimination diet. I spend a lot of time feeling sorry for myself

@snowjewelz: she's never rocked a newborn to sleep? That seems pretty strange.

@snowjewelz: Boooo....if you rock her to sleep soooo what....she is a baby!! Not 10..lol

G has been asleep since 10???? Guess I should of napped too...lol

@MrsF: @FaithFertility: she has a 2 yr old too so I was surprised! Maybe she forgot what the nb days were like!

Who here has the Ktan again? My friend is sending me hers since she never used it and I was telling her Kara hasn't been feeling the Becco.

@FaithFertility: too late! I am way too distracted usually to nap! If I'm good I only really nap once a day
