@theotherstark: hmm maybe it's time for the swaddle again. She has slept 7 hrs without but maybe just to get through this phase!

@snowjewelz: 7 hrs is awesome!! I wouldn't mess with a good thing if she's sleeping that long!!

@snowjewelz: We still swaddle J and we swaddled M for a long time. He definitely distracts / wakes himself up with his hands otherwise.

Pacifier success!!! Logan just slept 7 hours with the help of his pacifier. I'm hoping this continues so I might actually get sleep once I return to work.

As a January mama popping in occasionally for a preview of what's to come (I mean, I've done this before, but it's hard to remember while in a sleep deprived fog that seems never-ending) I just want to say that I'm so hopeful we start getting the longer stretches of sleep many of you are experiencing.
We are still in eat every 3 hour land over here, and it's kicking my butt!

@keepcalmcarrie: DD is 10 weeks and suddenly regressed to barely 3-4 hr stretches
Can't help but feel down today.. How did K go from 5 hr stretches to now barely 3-4, even just a 2+ stretch! And DH is gone till Mon. I'm so stressed out between worrying about her sleep and her not taking a bottle once I go back to work

@snowjewelz: oh boo I'm sorry.
Anyone doing anything fun today? We are heading to Savannah to visit my family

@BandDmommy: We are hanging at my mom's DH works this weekend so he is sleeping!

@keepcalmcarrie: hi!!! Mine is almost 10 weeks and he still does mostly 3h stretches. He is very out of place among these good sleepers!

@winniebee: kara is now back to join Ryan.. Maybe she is going thru yet another growth spurt?? Is there one at 10 weeks?

@BandDmommy: we're actually spending the weekend away with family. With the Mardi Gras holiday my husband actually had a 5 day weekend, plus it's my last week off before I head back to work.

@keepcalmcarrie: I hope you get some nice long stretches soon! Every baby is different, and it's hard to come post about the great nights when other people are struggling, but we've been in heaven with sleep lately

@FaithFertility: so cute!
@BandDmommy: We had my family at our house this morning, which was great for baby holding and helping the toddler blow off some steam. Now we're hunkered down waiting for the next storm
@snowjewelz: I'm so sorry that sleep has been difficult and that you're worried about going to work. Are the bottles getting a little easier or still tough?
@Miss Ariel: Enjoy your weekend!

@snowjewelz: I think the whole first 3 months is a growth spurt haha! We are away for the weekend and his schedule(to the extent there is one) is off. He did only 3 and 2 hour stretches last night.

@MrsF: eh. Still refusing. I'm gonna see when my mom is here the whole day next and just have to buckle down and stuck it out with just bottles for a day. I foresee crying on my part

@winniebee: Ahh!
@whenoceansrise: I seriously do not understand these babies

We are visiting family and Ryan will. Not. Nap. It's so annoying he thinks a spec of dust on the wall is interesting and fights sleep so hard. My kids hate sleep!

So, we had our first road trip. 10 hours driving. D did fantastic. B did great as well! Relaxing now with family. Hope everyone had great Valentine's day!

@BandDmommy: nice! Enjoy your time with family. Glad your husband could take some more time off.

@winniebee: bah, h has been super distracted lately with naps too. I've also been trying to get him to bed earlier, around 8 or 8:30, but he won't sleep and then just ends up being overtired and cranky. Babies!! Sheesh
@BandDmommy: awesome!! Glad the trip went well. Hope you get some relaxing time with family!

@winniebee: ugh . I hope it's helpful to have family around!
@BandDmommy: Glad your trip went well!

G had a little trouble going down last night, but then did 7 hrs

@BandDmommy: boo! I hope time will fly! DH is coming back today (left Sat) and I aleady can barely take it! My mom has been great but it's just not the same!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: yay! Glad to know she is doing awesome!
K is not doing well in the sleep dept. I'm trying not to feel too down... I'm in a sleep training FB group and found out many moms with babies the same age or older are going through the same thing so I don't feel so bad! I'm trying to stay positive and try diff things.
Same thing with the bottles too. Just have to keep trying. Today she took it from my mom for a bit. She had an oz left and I did not want to waste it so stubbornly I tried to give it to her while holding her (2 big no no's usually) but she took it while staring straight at me?! She must know it's not the boob.. So weird! So we will try again next feeding to make sure this sticks as I go back to work next week.
