Is it bad that I WANT to hold her for all naps bc I won't get to do it soon?
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: No! Cherish your time with her as much as you can! Coming back to work is not easy!!
Micah did a 6 hour stretch last night. He's been doing very well with sleep, but only if we cosleep. I think when he turns 3 months we'll try harder to get him to sleep on his own- maybe in his crib.

@BandDmommy: Poor D. Sick babies are so sad. Hope she feels better soon.
@winniebee: Bummer that you aren't able to stretch Ryan's sleep out for longer. Does he take a pacifier at all? Hopefully he'll start sleeping longer on his own soon.
@snowjewelz: 5 and 5 is pretty good!! Logan usually only does 3 after his MOTN wake up, regardless of how long his first stretch was.
@KayKay: @snowjewelz: Sorry you ladies can't get a dreamfeed to work. With Logan, it wakes him up, but he'll drink a decent amount from one side before he passes out again. I can't get him to take the other side, but he'll still sleep decent after just one side.
@snowjewelz: Totally not bad you want to hold her for all her naps!!! With Xander, that last month we were together, I did the same thing!! I was dreading going back to work and leaving him. I don't feel that way with Logan though, probably because I've gone through it before and I feel comfortable with our daycare and that Logan will love it. When I dropped off Xander this morning, the infant teacher told me how excited she was to have Logan starting soon. She loves Xander so much, so I know Logan will be in good hands when he starts.
@whenoceansrise: Yay for a 6 hour stretch!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: Its crazy. I just want to hold her and co sleep forever to have her close go me. I'm def having separation anxiety here! I'm waiting till her sleep is consistent and then try to move her to her crib. She has been in there zero times.. Lol

@snowjewelz: daddy works too, so we are celebrating with grandma too
I say hold away, G just woke from a nap on me...lol
@whenoceansrise: Yay to good sleep

@Adira: he loves his paci! I think I could have given it to him at 530 but.....at that point I was up and we moved him to his room whih adjoins ours so I was on my feet already. I figure after 4m I will try the paci motn more often.

@BandDmommy: She wore a hand me down outfit today from C - carters. It's grey pants with a heart on the bottom and a onesie with some more hearts.
Tomorrow, is a target outfit. It's a onesie with a heart and coordinating pants.
Saturday, is a old navy dress with hearts and red leggings from Gymboree that were too big at Christmas.
We are doing photos on Saturday for 3 months. I took C to a studio every three months her first two years, and will do the same with K. C and K are exactly 3 years and 3 months apart, so the 3 month interval works out awesome. I slacked some this past year on C's photos due to being pregnant.

Had GI consult today. Classic reflux diagnosis. GI doc wants to try Zantac x3 a day for a week to see if it helps before going to Prilosec. I sort of just want to go straight to Prilosec but for some reason he was steering me away from it. Also said could try rice cereal In a bottle feed once a day....which I'm not keen on at only 2 mos.
Also Ry had 2m visit.....he's 9 lb 9 oz and 22.25 inches. Gained 4 lb 3 oz since birth and 4 lbs 9 oz since hospital discharge! Snoozing off the vaccines....

@winniebee: yay he is nice & long! Hope he will recover from his shots well! I agree with you on the rice cereal esp when he is so young! I hope the meds will help.

DH is feeding K a bottle right now... I'm hiding out, but I don't hear crying or fussing so I assume it's going well?! I guess I can go pump if she actually finished all the milk and don't need the boob! I only gave 2.5 oz tho (I wanted to start off with even less) in case she didn't want it. But technically she only ate 2 hours ago so I think 2.5 oz should be enough for now...
ETA: she only took .5 oz. oh well, try again tomorrow...

@winniebee: Yeah I think 2 months is young but I know many that do so they sleep better too...more full!
@snowjewelz: ahhh stinks

We actually had a pretty normal day today, even with her shots yesterday. Definitely something to be thankful for.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Bummer about the reflux, but I guess you already knew that. You've been on the zantac though, right? And it's not helping? Or am I remembering wrong? Hopefully things improve soon. Awesome weight gain though!!!
@snowjewelz: Ugh, sorry to hear she didn't really take the bottle. And wasted some of your precious milk.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@winniebee: that's great he's gained so much weight! Little chunker
@snowjewelz: h wouldn't take a bottle when we tried the other day I'm hoping it was because he wasn't too hungry. We will try again later, but I'm scared!! Eek.

G just rocked from her back to her side and then flipped on her belly.......what are to doing little girl.....lol
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: yeah he is on if 2x a day right now. So the doc wants to do 3x but keeping the same overall dose. I don't think it has helped but I guess nights have been better and we have more good days than bad with spit up. The doc said he has seen Zantac be much more effective 3 v 2x a day. If I don't see an improvement in his comfort level after feeds we will try Prilosec in a week. But it takes 2 wks to fully work so we would have to stay on Zantac during that time. Oh also I'm staying off dairy until this issue is more under control and then will see if dairy is an issue.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: I hope he's right and that extra dose a day makes a world of difference. And I'm so impressed that you're avoiding dairy in case it bothers him. You're such a good mom!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@theotherstark: hah I hope I'm not scaring everyone. I was taken aback tho bc she took bottles just fine before! I have to be diligent too and give a bottle everyday. I MUST remember to just warm 1 oz, maybe less at a time!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Ugh, I just started thinking about Logan starting daycare and I can't stop crying. We only have 10 more days together before I return to work. I'm going to miss him so much...

@FaithFertility: nice, G!! H has only rolled from front to back during tummy time. Doesn't seem close to doing back to front!
@winniebee: I really hope the increase helps!

@snowjewelz: ha no, you're not scaring me - the fact that he wouldn't take the bottle is!! I'm really hoping it was a fluke...

@Adira: I'm starting work on Monday (only part time though, so I know I have it easy). It's great that you are already so comfortable with your DCP. I'm sure it's still so difficult, but at least you already have that relationship.
@winniebee: Glad you had your GI visit, but I'm sorry it wasn't more helpful. At least you know that you can change meds relatively quickly if you don't see an improvement. I hope the dosing change is what he needs!
@snowjewelz: Sorry about the bottle
@FaithFertility: Wow! I can't believe she rolled over! J is nowhere near that, but he's probably too fat
@Miss Ariel: Glad the shots went smoothly!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@theotherstark: @snowjewelz: Keep trying! We've been giving J a bottle every day for the past week and he's gotten so much better. He still needs to be in the bouncy chair when DH gives it, but he's not fighting it at all. Makes me feel a little better about going back to work on Monday.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: That's so true. I know the main teacher will take care of Logan really well. She's still so good with Xander and she LOVES babies, so Logan will be in good hands, which will make it easier to leave him.
@snowjewelz: Ugh, that's only two days after me and Kara is younger than Logan. I'm sorry! That's so hard.
