@FaithFertility: I'm hoping he just woke up early because he's sick and will go back to sleeping well soon!
@BandDmommy: Ugh, so annoying!

@winniebee: That's great that your MIL can watch T for you for a few nights, though I'm sure you're right that it does a number on his routine. Hopefully he can separate what happens at grandma's house vs at home. Hoodsie cups - yum!
@Adira: Boo It's so hard to go back to work. I hope it's easier for you already being comfortable with the boys' daycare!
@BandDmommy: Wow - I'm not the only one with a crazy MIL!

@Adira: wow!! I would take 7 hours of sleep over laugher at this point! ! I hope your transition back to work is ok
I was having terrible anxiety about going back to work. Then a few weeks ago found out the nonprofit I work for is bankrupt. So I'm getting laid off. the silver lining is I get to stay home with my lititle guy a bit longer

@BandDmommy: ugh your MIL sounds like a piece of work.... My SO's parents are always asking to "borrow" $ but we stopped now that we have the baby. They haven't visited either but they live across country. We will probably have to go to them...

@magnolia: Ahhh, I'm sorry you got laid off!!! That must be stressful, especially if you're dependent on your income. But yay for extra time with the baby!

@magnolia: So sorry about your work, but I hope it ends up working out well for you!
@FaithFertility: Glad you got the 2 months shots over with! I hope the rest of the day is uneventful.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Wow! She's tall!! Hope she's okay today and tomorrow. Logan was randomly fussy and would cry out the day of his shots.
So our freezer arrived!! When we got our new furnace, the furnace guys pointed out a free outlet in the basement I hadn't noticed, so I went ahead and ordered a freezer. Now I'm just waiting for it to cool down and I can move some of my milk into it!

A little behind here!
@Adira: enjoy your last weekend off!
Ryan's sleep is the same. Bed at 8 or 830 and up around 12, then 330, then 7. All give or take of course. Top of bottles don't seem to do anything special so not sure why he isn't stretching out yet.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: wow she is tall! Hope she sleeps well tonight.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@magnolia: what a strange twist....I hope it works out ok! Will you look for new work now or wait?

Did your babes sleep the day away after shots? She slept 3-5 I woke her to feed and is out again ;/ not fussy just out......
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: yeah. He slept for 3 hours right after woke to eat and then slept for 3 more..... I woke him at 6 and he wanted go go right back to sleep but he went to bed at 8. Had a normal nights sleep
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: K cries for a while before settling down... I have always been in the backseat with her but bext week when I go back to work no one will be next to her for two days s week
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: I am soooo not ready. I feel like it wasn't that long ago that we were still pregnant, or that they were like a week old!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@magnolia: aww I am so sorry! How unexpected! Are you going to look for a job assp?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
So sleep begets sleep really doesn't work on K! Last night we had Chinese New Year dinner at in laws, so she of course did not nap much. Nursed her to sleep around 9 and she did 5 and 5. Everyday that I put her down between 7:30-8:30 she will only so 3-4 hrs. So I'm moving bedtime back and then going to just move it like 5 min earlier each night.

@Adira: @snowjewelz: @MrsF: @FaithFertility: thank you all.. I will apply for unemployment next week and see how that goes $wise. I probably won't end up getting a new job til the new school year but I will be keeping my eyes open for other opportunities. ...never thought I'd be staying home so it's a nice surprise even if we will have to be pinching pennies.
persimmon / 1168 posts
@snowjewelz: H has not been sleeping well with an earlier bedtime either. (Only 3 or 4 at a time if I am lucky ). But he seems to naturally fall asleep around 7 or 8 so I'm not sure what to do
persimmon / 1168 posts
@FaithFertility: H alternately slept and cried a lot after his shots. Hope your girl is doing ok. I think extra sleepiness and fussiness is normal.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@magnolia: I hope you enjoy your extra time and aren't too stressed.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@magnolia: def treasure the surprise extra time!!
k has been napping since 7.. I didn't put her down thinking she would take a cat nap but she is sooo off today. I think I will wake her up soon to change and get ready for bed so she can nurse to sleep at 9.
eggplant / 11861 posts
I forgot to add that at pedi today mine asked how my hrs she sleeps at night, I said her first stretch averages 5-6 hrs and then 3.....he was pretty shocked he said not until 3-4 months do they consistently give more than 3 or 4...so I think us Dec mom's are doing GREAT!!!!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@magnolia: So does G she seems to sleep longer of she goes down at 9 but by 7-8 she is done!
So far she is doing good...
Napped on our chests all day had a bath and is now in bed, no fever or cranky yet...
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan's naturally occurring bed time is 8 or 830 or I bet earlier if I let him. He doesn't sleep any longer if I put him down later and he is up for the day by 7 or so, so really when I out him down later he just gets less sleep. Today he napped 845-11 and then 1-330 and 530-630 and was so tired and cranky by 730. (He so rarely takes anything more than a 1 hour nap after 4). So, he went out like a light at 8 and if I miss some of his stretch so be it.

@Adira: very nice about the freezer! I remember you saying that you needed one. We have an extra fridge / freezer in the basement and it's full of milk. I need to organize better!
@winniebee: I'm sorry R's sleep hasn't improved any more. Have you seen any progress on the new Zantac schedule? I forget if you've talked about it since right after your appointment.
@FaithFertility: J was pretty fussy after the shots but he did sleep a lot too - and I remember that he still slept well that night. Glad she's getting some good sleep! I hope the night goes well!
@magnolia: I hope that you can enjoy the extra time!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Yep! Logan basically slept the day away the day he got his shots.
@snowjewelz: I know! How is it already time to go back to work???
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Ugh, either my supply has totally tanked or my pump is kicking the bucket... I'm suddenly only getting half as much out as I did just two days ago. WTF!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: oh man. Can you call medela or whatever the company is? Are you eligible for a new pump under ACA if this is the same pump you used with Xander?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: possible you are getting your period? That was my first tip something was on the way....
