@MamaG: That sounds miserable I'm with you though - I keep 'em in the crib until I have no other choice!

Sleep has bit hard here too; not sure if her cold has anything to do with it, but she has been taking a long time to fall asleep (even with daddy) and not getting a full 10 hours even! But she will nap long...

@winniebee: Yes to all the talking!!! Logan just is talking constantly!! But he doesn't enunciate well, so I have no idea what he's saying half the time. Though yes to "MINE!" or "MY whatever!" Listening to him babble on about whatever is adorable though.

We haven't even told our families yet but I have to tell you girls of course - panorama results came back "low risk" for everything and baby F #3 is a... boy!
I'm a little sad that M will never have a sister (I am so done with babies). But I'm sure that having brothers so close in age will be awesome for Jack and this new baby and that Molly will grow into her roll of leading two little rascals around everywhere
@winniebee: I've been thinking of you so much with all of this and, as eager as I was for my results to come back, I'm still anxiously awaiting yours!

@MrsF: Ahhhh!!! Congratulations!!!! Brothers are so much fun!! And don't worry about M not having sisters. I only have a brother and we're soooooo close!

@winniebee: Yay for a good ultrasound!
@MrsF: Congrats on a healthy little BOY! If DH wins E won't have a brother either, but he has 3 boy cousins his age and lots of boys in the neighborhood. Baby girl will be outnumbered for sure!
Oh man to the terrible two's. E is definitely pushing my buttons lately, he's lucky he's so cute. He is constantly pushing chairs up to the counters to steal candy or 'mallows'. He LOVES to scream and cry if he doesn't get want he wants.
I'm trying 2 minute time outs, or I let him go if he says he's sorry. DH is definitely better at discipline than I am, but I think we need to get this figured out before DD arrives mid-Feb.

@MrsF: So awesome!! Congrats!! Even though M is the big sis I am sure her Brothers will LOVE protecting her too whrn they get older!!!!! I see AJ doing this with G ....lol
G is in a "golden" period right now!!!! Man knock on wood! She is so good!
But timeouts do not work for her AT ALL, but losing a favorite toy of her doll for a minute seems to do the trick!

@MamaG: Man so sorry! I have no advice as sleep is not our forte....lol but big girl bed has seemed to turn the corner for us!

@winniebee: I'm so happy for you and your no news ultrasound. I'm keeping you and your family in my thoughts and hoping good things with this pregnancy for y'all.

@MamaG: I wouldn't move her from the crib either just yet. That is very little sleep for her though. She must be in a great mood these days Has it only been since she has been sick?
pomelo / 5298 posts
@winniebee: No It's been like this since the time change. And it's just been progressively getting worse.
Yah, her mood sucks. She's very whiney and clingy. Daycare seems to think she's nothing but an angel though. I'm glad they get to see her at her best.
Last night I ended up giving her Advil just before 10:00 and that finally knocked her out. But at 5:50 she was up and ready to go. So that's just less than 8 hours of sleep last night. And I fully expect that she will be miserable today and take a 2 hour nap at daycare. Or at least I hope she sleeps! She is congested/stuffy nose and really doesn't tolerate us trying to suction her nose. We can wipe it, but that's about it.

@MrsF: Congrats on another boy!
@MamaG: Sorry Mama! That sounds exhausting.
M woke up feeling bad this morning. . He decided to sleep until almost 9am, got up & got a drink of water, then threw it up.

@FaithFertility: Haha. I must say some holiday blow up things are scary! Like storm troopers?!

@FaithFertility: lol. Luckily Ethan seems to have gotten over his fear of bubblewrap. It was pretty severe!

@FaithFertility: He was fine after I posted yesterday. I'm not sure if he just drank too much, too quickly or what, but he ate breakfast & lunch just fine. Thanks for asking!

Another night of G waking for the bathroom I know it's great, but gahhhh I'm tired!!!!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@josina: J is terrified of bubble wrap. M takes it out and jumps on it and he freaks out.
@AngelicOne: Glad that didn't turn into an illness!
@FaithFertility: Ugh - what a pain, especially with an infant!
J has never done anything on the potty, but we let him sit when he asks. It's turning into a huge pain though. He'll beg over and over again - "poop potty! poop potty! - diaper off", which means taking off all of his clothes. He'll sit for 15 seconds and say he's all done, but then do the same thing almost immediately. If it were summer I'd put him naked outside and put the little potty out there or something but in this scenario I don't really know what to do. He has *never* actually peed or pooped and I'm not even sure he knows the difference between the two. It just seems like an activity for him but he is having huge tantrums when I say no because we have to go get M from school or he's already been on there 3 times in 6 minutes. Last night I heard him on the monitor at 11pm saying "poop potty!". No poop in his diaper though... It was also the first thing he said to me when I got him up this morning.
Any advice, ladies?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: yes and always as AJ sleeps past a feeding...lol
no advice that is kind of how G started, but she peed a few times during that phase!
I think the brunt of G potting training was at her sitters, she was so easy I truly did nothing......
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MrsF: oh man, thats a tough one. I know with E there was one time where he told me 'poop' and I didn't take him and he actually did have to go. Most times he'll do the same and just sit there for a bit and then 'flush'.
Daycare is working with him some though, she took him every hour the other day and he actually pee'd twice.... so I think I'm just gonna let her lead. It is sooo hard though because I should do the same at home and just don't have the time!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: we sort of have the same issue. She will even strip down and tell you potty. We are lucky if she actually sits for 10 seconds. We did have success with her going pee (one time) and poop (finishing after starting in her diaper) but that was months ago. Daycare doesn't think she's ready.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: I know K doesn't mean it so I won't actually take off her pants/diapers... She just likes to do the motions of sitting in the potty, getting real TP to wipe, then she goes and flushes our real toilet. K also rarely poops at night... She says poop during bed time but I know it's just to stall going to sleep. I guess you can let him sit once in a while but if he asks 3 times in 5 minutes it's obv not "real"?

I've been a posting machine today but wanted to let y'all know my NIPT came back low risk and we are having another boy I was crying tears of joy this afternoon. I know we still have a long way to go, but passing this milestone feels great!!

Ok girls WWYD?!
G's sleep has been great, staying in her big girl bed and all!
My sister wants to have a Christmas movie/baking night next week and she is going to spend the night so us girls can all hang out!
She got so excited and said Auntie/Niece sleep over and since G's bed is a full requested to crash with her
She is so excited!
I am nervous as I don't want it to ruin her sleep, but I don't think 1 night will kill her plus my sister is so excited, got them matching PJ's!!!!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Honestly, what I would do is say no to the bed sharing - but I am totally anal about my kids' sleep and constantly afraid that I'm going to mess it up. I think I'm definitely crazier than the norm!

@MrsScallop: Just wanted to wish you and Charlie a happy two years! (although I think it was yesterday). I love the pictures on FB - he's SO big. I hope you guys are doing well

@FaithFertility: I'm tempted to just let her do whatever... But is G gonna sleep later then? Or your sister is just planning to crawl in later?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: No I feel ya I am like Now?!?! When she seems to be doing great!!!!!!
@snowjewelz: Didn't even think.....probably let her stay up little later

@winniebee: Congrats on a healthy baby boy!
@FaithFertility: I would let her, sleep with G, but I'm not strict about sleep either. How fun though!
