@MamaG: Yeah! Or I'd stop by a store to ask about it for sure!

@Adira: sorry about the news. I hope it turns out ok!!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Thanks! I'm sure it'll be fine - I'll just be put on prednisone and be hungry all the time and probably not be able to get an epidural again, but all in all, it's nothing to be too concerned about!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: You are brave I mean, I can def not be able to get an epidural either depending on what goes down, but if you tell me now that I can't have an epidural, I'd cry!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: OMG, only because I did it before with no choice am I being brave now, haha. When they told me I couldn't get one, I probably did cry at the hospital. I had been planning my whole pregnancy to get one and I never took any birthing classes, so I had noooooooo idea what I was doing!!! And I remember as soon as Xander was born, telling Hubs that I never wanted to do it again without an epidural. But now that I'm 19 months out, I think I have a selective memory - I can't remember how painful it was! And I'm thinking since I did it once without an epidural, I can do it again, right???
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Yes, you can!! And I guess after the 2nd time you'd forget about it too!
Everyone does tell me that you forget... B/c I've told DH countless times this pregnancy, 'And I have to do this again?!' lol

@Adira: the good news is that second births usually go more quickly!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: That's what I'm banking on! I can definitely survive all the contractions - it was pushing that was rough, and if that's shorter, I think I can do it!

Wow, I've been away from the board for a few days...sooo busy at work and I am starting to get exhausted by the end of the day....plus I have huge elephant feet....so I/DH ice them nightly......fun fun
@snowjewelz: Yay to baby shower this weekend!! Mine is the 1st hope you have a wonderful time!
@BandDmommy: I pray she stays in there, but I am sure you are nervous! Just keep doing what you are doing
@Adira: I have cankles/ pillow feet too.....
I have a apt tomorrow right after work and by Friday may feet are HUGE I am so afraid they will not like it and I keep dreaming I get put in bed rest!

@Adira: Awww just read your post on a previous page, I hope your platelets go up soon and meds help!!!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Thanks!! And sorry to hear you're dealing with all the swelling too. Apparently it's pretty normal. Maybe your OB will have suggestions to help though!

@Adira: I am truly not too worried, but well ladies comments at work make me freak.....lol
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: I swear, other people's comments make us more worried than we need to be!! People need to just STFU!

@snowjewelz: I came home to find my Target coupons Now I can purchase everything I have saved in my cart. I'm glad there are extras. I'm hoping to be a pumping mom, but am afraid to buy too much already. If pumping works, now I can get it later.

What's everyone up to this weekend? I want to get stuff done on nursery but I doubt that will happen since DH has to work Saturday.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: We're moving Xander to his new room this weekend!!!
But other than that, I don't know that we'll get much done. Hubs is also gone most of Saturday, so I won't be able to get as much done for the nursery as I want.

@MamaG: Yay! Btw, I started doing the non-stress test at my appt now, apparently I start at 32 weeks. So now I'm like great! Even more prolonged appt!
My baby shower is this Sat. And I decided I needed to experiment with a make up look for the shower that I'll use for maternity shoot as well... My make-up routine is pretty minimal and I suck at doing it so I'm suddenly all stressed out
nectarine / 2053 posts
This difficulty breathing thing is no joke! My lungs feel like they are totally squished!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Good luck with the make-up experimentation!! My routine is pretty minimal too and I feel like I'm no good at it, so I have no advice!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: Oh no! I hope he drops lower soon to give you some room! I usually only feel that way when I lie on my back.
@Adira: I knooow, I get by for going to weddings and stuff, and for my own wedding I had professional make-up, so this is the 1st time I'm on my own! I don't want to be that made up but I need to have some color on me cuz I know I'll look even more pale in photos!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Well, good luck!!! I hope you figure something out that works!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: He is so high that I can feel movement like right underneath my boobs. I've had a pretty easy pregnancy and so far this part has been the hardest!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: I have a feeling there's more to come I def passed the cruising period of pregnancy! Nothing is THAT terrible but at the same time nothing is comfortable either! Do you know if he's head down?
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: Oh yeah, by the end of this thing I am going to be SO happy to have my body back. Then I'll have "fun" figuring out breastfeeding and pumping. Haha, that'll give us something else to complain about!
At the last ultrasound I had at 28 weeks he was head down.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: I agree! I said that to people at work, and they're like oh but with the baby out you'll get even less sleep and things will be so chaotic, but at least when I do sleep, my body is my own and won't make weird movements on the inside
I am totally dreading BF, pumping and all that... But then again.. Birth has to happen first, which I also am terrified about!
That's weird that he's still pushing up against your lungs! Cause I felt like I couldn't breath when she was still breech, but once she moved, most of the time I'm ok.
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: I think he's big or maybe has long legs or somthing because I can feel movement down low and up high at the same time.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: Hehe he's really not giving you an easy time! I guess mine doesn't kick much, but she sure loves to punch?! Or she is in a fetal position and kicking the heck out of the middle of my stomach...!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: I kind of have this fear that I'll go to deliver and they'll find that there are actually two babies in there! Does she do it all day? Micah does. Sometimes I think he never sleeps!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@whenoceansrise: @snowjewelz: I've been lucky both times (so far) that both my babies have always been very low, so I haven't had the lung issues where I feel like I can't breath. I AM constantly being kicked (or I guess probably punched/head-butted at this point) in the bladder though. That sucks. And when I walk, there's so much pressure on my bladder, I feel like I instantly have to pee!
I'm really nervous about breastfeeding again... last time it started off so painful and took forever before we got the hang of it (forever being 7 weeks). I'm just so scared to go through that again... I really hated those first 7 weeks! I hope my boobs are still kind of numb from all the nursing I did with Xander and that it's not as bad or the pain doesn't last for as long...
nectarine / 2053 posts
@Adira: That happens to me too! Sometimes I'll get a kick or punch or something on my bladder and I'll have that sudden urge to pee- so much that even walking hurts. Then I'll feel kicks up high and pretty much all day I have trouble breathing. Is that normal??
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: I think I don't notice it AS much during the day since I'm at work and occupied most of the time.
But at night after dinner, man she really kicks it up and lately it borderlines painful, whatever she's doing in there!
@Adira: I def fear I'd be a big baby and give up if it's "too hard" in the beginning. Then again, I don't have her in my hands so maybe maternal instincts will kick in and I'll grit my teeth and suck it up... 7 weeks is a LONG TIME to me right now to get to a better place
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@whenoceansrise: Definitely having trouble breathing is normal - one of my coworkers is experience that all the time! I'm just lucky that my boys both have hung out really low and don't bother my lungs too much!
@snowjewelz: I mean, those 7 weeks weren't ALL bad. The first two were really hard and then it got easier, but then it got hard again on one side, and then finally at 6 weeks, I was going to quit, but I went to see an LC instead and she helped me work on his latch, and then a week later, it seemed like the pain was gone! And I don't know that it was maternal instinct that kept me going - more like stubbornness!! I didn't want to give up even though I HATED it!!!

Had another sono this morning and took C and DH with me. All looks well. She moves a lot and is definitely very much head down.
I also placed my order for my pump this morning. I got the Medala PISA starter and added on the battery pack and cooler for $50'ish. I'll have to find my own bag. To get the bag as well was another $80 and I feel like I can find one that works for less.
I'll be placing the rest of my registry order with Target this weekend.
I finally did my pre-registration with the hospital yesterday.
Next up on the to-do list is get the infant seat put in my car. Unpack/setup all the things we have bought that are stacked in the corner. And organize the darn guest room. The guest room just stays in a constant state of chaos.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: How exciting!!!! You've gotten a lot of stuff done and there's just a few more things to do!!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@snowjewelz: I got my makeup done for the maternity pics and I'm very happy I did. Have you thought about finding someone to do your makeup?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: Ugh I still don't know whether to just get the free PISA or pay extra for Freestyle. I'm leaning towards PISA...
Awesome that you're getting all this stuff done!
@Adira: I hope 2nd time around will be easier for you!
