Not my proudest moment: DH and I were cooking some pre seasoned chicken for tacos, yes I was going to try to eat meat.....well he kept asking if it still looked pink in the middle a million times......well my pregnancy hormones got the best of me I took the chicken and threw it into the sink def not proud of my melt down and yelled then don't eat it......lol
After I laughed then cried.......
DH looked a little shocked, but laughed
I am just sooooo tired I never knew this type of tired existed, all I want to do is sleep, so I snapped!

I had an awesome Dr. appt today. I got more info and reassurances about my genetic screen and an appt with the maternal fetal medicine specialist... And I got to see a cute 10 week gummy bear waving it's arms in it's face and moving around!!.
Hope you all have a great Mother's Day and appointments, it seems there are a lot coming up

@magnolia: Glad to hear you had a good appt! Isn't it just wild to see them moving around?!
@FaithFertility: Ew, it would gross me out to constantly check to see if it's too pink in the middle. Haha. I'm sure he understands that it was just hormones
AFM, it finally happened ... I threw up at work today. Ugh. Thankfully, I was in early enough that no one else was really around, so there wasn't anyone in the bathroom. Thank God. Still, not fun.
Also, my mom sent me a mother's day card, and I totally cried

@ctegge0416: Sending you love, hugs & lots of baby dust so you can soon have your healthy & happy nine months!!
@FaithFertility: Hahaha, the funny stories are endless! I'm a tired, emotional, crazy wreck pretty much everyday. I sleep for like 10 hours and still refuse to wake up for work and DH has to wake up me every day for like 10 minutes... While I whine & whine... lol
@magnolia: Aww yay!! That's so cute!!
@theotherstark: Oh nooooo At least it should be over soon! We're literally counting down the weeks till I don't have to be miserable anymore...

I'm a garbage disposal. I eat and eat and eat all day because I'm so starving and shaky and nauseous if I don't. I could never skip a meal! Or a snack lol.
My midwife called me today to talk about my ovarian cysts and cervical length (which was good). I think in addition to my nt scan they will do another ultrasound In another month to monitor the large cyst size and measure cervix again.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: Anything to keep nausea at bay! Eat away!
I'm glad they're keeping on top of potential issues for you!

I have a random question... Is the u/s that do for NT scan different than a regular one?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@winniebee: Sorry you aren't feeling well. I have been so nauseous these past few weeks too. I can't wait for 2nd trimester. I also can't find anything to eat. The only thing I like are carbs (bagels, bread, crackers, etc). But once I hit 4 p.m. no food keeps the m/s away.

@littlek: Ohh, thanks!
Do you guys all go to your OB's office for it? Mine is sending me to their perinatology office for it
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: last time I had to do it at a special ultrasound place. This time different ob and have to do at perinatologist.

@snowjewelz: I'm waiting for my nurse to call me back about mine on Monday. She mentioned getting it done at 12 - 13 weeks and I think I was told it's through somewhere else, but they never gave me the info.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@snowjewelz: They're sending me to a separate clinic. I heard it tends to be longer than normal u/s, just because of what they're looking for, but generally it's just an u/s.
I haven't had an abdominal u/s yet, so should be interesting!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@theotherstark: I'm surprised it's abdominal since they're looking for something so specific! They always start out with abdominal and then vaginal when I go.
pomelo / 5298 posts
My NT scan last time was with a perinatologist as well. I won't be having an NT scan this time because of doing the panorama bloodwork instead. I will see the perinatologist for the anatomy scans as 16 and 20 weeks though. They did take slightly longer than the ones at my OB's office just because of what they are all looking at and taking measurements of.
The only transvaginal u/s I had with my first pregnancy was the first one at 8 weeks. After that they were all transabdominal. I expect the same this time.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: I'd love it if I can just get abdominal from now on... I don't focus on looking as well when they stick it up there and keep moving it around
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: Fortunately, I'm abnormal and the transvaginal doesn't phase me. My doctor can usually get right to the correct spot and there isn't much more effort on her part. Of course, in both pregnancies I've needed my well woman exam as well at my first visit, so it was like I was already all prepped.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Had my first OB appointment yesterday. It was just the data gathering one where they collect all my medical history. And then I got to do labs. They said my due date was December 11th, but I know that's not accurate, so I'm sticking with December 16th. My next appointment will be a real one with a midwife.

This is my Pup Bella sweet sweet 8yr old pitbull, she MUST sleep next to me every night So sweet she knows she is going to have a human pup I swear!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Oh, for anyone with longer cycles/ questions about their due dates-- I knew I had ovulated later in my cycle (cd 19) and when I went for my dating scan I measured consistently with that date, so rather than keeping my lmp due date, my midwife changed my due date to the ovulation due date. It's the date I had been going by all along anyways. She called me yesterday to discuss my dating scan results and told me this.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: My OB's office doesn't do dating u/s apparently. They do blood tests instead. So bummed I won't be able to get an early u/s!

I'm sooooo excited about my u/s. Only 17 days to go
I have been eating really badly recently which is ridiculous as I'm usually a healthy eater. I've gone off my morning green smoothie which is very strange. All I want to eat is crap. I need to turn it around ASAP.

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day! We had a 14 hr journey home today after a week out east and I have a touch of a stomach something (or it's just pregnancy diahhrea and nausea). It was not all that great of a day, but you can't win em all.
Suddenly I'm 8 weeks and feel like things are finally starting to move a little more quickly.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: Same here! I just keep telling myself once 1st trimester is over I will turn things around!
pomelo / 5298 posts
Morning ladies. Mother's Day is done and it was a good one. This week I'm a little anxious as I should hear the results of my panorama bloodwork. And on Friday afternoon, we leave for a week at the beach. I'm feeling anxious about the long drive with the recently potty trained toddler, but it will be fine I'm sure. Yesterday's accident just reminded me that we are still vulnerable. She doesn't always remember that she needs to go the bathroom

Ugh girls, anyone else not able to button their pants all the way anymore?? I had to break out my Belly Band for my work pants.
