@Adira: definitely having that issue with most of my work pants (I guess they are just cut tighter). Especially by the end of the day. I'm sticking to flowy shirts that go over my waistline and empire waist dresses until I get around to buying the belly bands.

@magnolia: I'm doing both! Got the belly bands AND I'm wearing flowy and empire waist shirts!!

@winniebee: welcome back! Hope it's just pregnancy tummy issues and it passes quickly! I have had several days of bad tummy issues so I feel like my body is just more sensitive this pregnancy.
Ummmm, I haven't been wearing my regular pants for weeks now...I gave up a long time ago. For some reason I can't stand full panel pants this pregnancy - they did not bother me at all my first pregnancy. I just hate the feeling of anything tight/constricting on my stomach and it makes me feel awful.
I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow and people have started to notice the bump. My neighbor and my SIL both noticed it this weekend.

@Adira: I'm so lazy about shopping I just want all my clothes to fit for as long as possible!! Maybe I can buy belly bands online? I just am scared they won't fit

@sandy: I haven't worn regular pants in months. I'm not liking the pull panel either. Much prefer the demi panel. B's daycare teacher asked me today when I was due. So, I guess the cat is out of the bag.

@snowjewelz: yeah, that's what I keep saying. Il go to the gym in the 2nd tri... We shall see!
@Adira: my sister gave me some belly bands. I don't get them. How do you wear them? Do you put them over the top of your undone pants? I thought they were strapless tops! I'm wearing maternity pants anyway. They are soooo comfy. They don't have that MASSIVE belly waist band thing. They look crazy!
@cheert16: glad you ultrasound went well. Did you get a picture?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@magnolia: You can! I bought mine off Amazon!
@cheert16: Yay for your U/S and having a due date!!! So exciting!!
@Mrs.Lilac: Yes, you wear them over your pants unbuttoned! Mine are so long, so I have them folded in half. Essentially they are tight enough that they help hold your pants up AND smooth you out so it's not obvious that your pants are unbuttoned!

I haven't worn anything different... Most of my pants are elastic waist already lol.
Oh and I blame those here that got me into drinking pickle juice! It's almost like I'm buying a jar of pickles for the juice!

@littlek: how was your trip back from Vegas? Hope you're feeling better! I feel like my nausea is improving which makes me hopeful it'll be gone by the end of the first trimester.
@cheert16: yay for a good appointment!
I just bought some cherries and they totally hit the spot! I'm so excited for yummy summer produce bc I've been eating so much junk.
@snowjewelz: haha! Maybe you should create and market pickle juice that comes in a bottle/can for pregnant ladies

@Adira: yah most of my pants are too tight now as well. Except yoga pants :). I wore the Bella band on the plane yesterday and remembered how much I hate that thing.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Adira: I never got into the Bella band. I didn't like the feeling of my pants being unzipped.
persimmon / 1050 posts
I've gotten some maternity pants/capris/shorts and have worn some of the shorts, but mostly wear skirts & dresses that are stretchy. I have a couple of pairs of jeans that still fit, but not for much longer.
***Doing my NT scan on 5/28 right before I leave for vacation.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: I think I used it for two weeks when my pants still zipped but I left them unbuttoned. I hate using it with my pants unzipped! I'm super jealous of women who use/wear them throughout their pregnancy. My friend used hers until the last two months of her pregnancy...what?!?! I guess I just gain way too much weight all over bc my non-maternity pants would not fit over my thighs/butt at 6 months pregnant. I'm excited for summer so I can just wear a ton of dresses
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: I hear you! I always change into yoga pants as soon as I get home. And the Belly Bands are annoying - they're always riding up on me!
@littlek: My work pants are the high-waist pants from Express that have three snaps. I'm at the point where I can still snap the bottom one and zip up all the way and it's just the top two snaps that are left undone. I think once I get to the point where I can't zip them, I'll switch to regular maternity pants! I don't like going unzipped either!!

Hi ladies. Sorry I've been absent around here lately. I keep telling myself I will re-join life in the second trimester! I'm still feeling so sick (11 weeks today!) and I've been working nights - so I'm not back in the game yet . I'm looking forward to my 12 week NT scan on Friday because we plan to tell people afterwards if everything looks good. At least I won't be alone in my first trimester misery after that
. Sorry for the whiny post! We're all getting closer to feeling better every day!

@sandy: lol I couldn't wear any maternity pants or jeans at the end last time either. It was may and I could wear dresses so I'm not sure what I'm going to do come December!!

I woke up with a splitting headache and nausea at 6am. I had one late yesterday too. I just switched prenatal vitamins so I am trying to decide if this is a typical symptom at 10+ weeks or a result of the switch....

Hi ladies! I'm back from my trip and it went so well! My mom was so excited when we gave her the news. My husband got her reaction on video and I think we have decided to use it in our announcement I hope you girls had a great mothers day weekend!
Right now, nausea sucks and I don't want anything to do with any type of food. Eating is not fun. So ready to be out of the 1st trimester!

I had a dream last night that we lost the baby. It was awful. I know it's still a possibility at only 8 wks but I'm already so attached to this baby it would be so sad.

@Mrs.Lilac: yup got a picture! I could see his or her little heart fluttering.
We told MIL and My parents this weekend. DH's mom was so excited- and my dad started crying, my mom was pretty excited too! Lil B wore a # 1 Big bro shirt- took them a little bit to get what it meant!!

I def feel like the thread slowed down b/c we're all just sick & tired
I bought my first maternity clothing... I didn't even mean to! I was at Target and it was on clearance. It's really just a tunic; I'm not even sure what makes it maternity. I'm running out of things to wear to hide the bump so I figured why not?! I can wear it through summer fall and winter anyway.
@whenoceansrise: Yaay glad to hear it went well!
@cheert16: Aww that is so sweet!
@winniebee: Aww it's okay. I have a scary/bizarre/TMI dream about the baby recently too... It's probably cause we're so worried in our subconscious!
apricot / 348 posts
@winniebee: omg I had that same dream the night before last. I was hyperventilating I'm my dream I was crying so much that I woke myself up as I really was crying. It shook me up so bad I couldn't get back to sleep for hours. It was just so real. Horrible. Can't wait for the scan now to check everything

I've been really struggling the last few days - it's been rough! So I haven't been too active on here.
Sorry to hear others are, as well. Hopefully just a few more weeks of m/s!

Had another midwife appt today. Blood draw and physical. She tried listening for heartbeat on Doppler but 8w is a little early still. Nothing else remarkable (except I've gained 3 lbs). I see the ob next visit.

Sorry to hear about all the nausea issues! It's hit me as well. I'm currently eating crackers for dinner for the 3rd night in a row.
Is anyone interested in telling where you're from? I thought it might be interesting to see if any of us are near each other. I'll start below, if you want to participate, just copy and paste the list!

I'm usually fine all day until dinnertime, then the nausea hits & then makes nothing sound good for dinner.

@winniebee: Did you end up getting another U/S? That's annoying that it was too early to hear the heartbeat.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@sandy: One of my friends SWEARS by the bella band. But I hated it. I have a tons of maxi dresses so I'm excited for the summer. I only have one maternity swimsuit so I think I may need to purchase another one.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@littlek: nope. I don't have another one until my nt scan at 13w. And they will look at cysts then too. I was a little annoyed that I left without any reassurance but I am just trying to trust my body.

Ugh, I really want to buy more maxi dresses, but I'm only 5 ft and I don't know who will have maxi dresses that fit my height unless I get them hemmed! I have 1 from AE that somehow just fits, and another one that I bought from Asia.
