@winniebee: that is how I look one day shy of 11 weeks! With my first I was probably this size around 17 or 18 weeks. I feel huge already! Had to go buy summer maternity clothes already.
Had my first visit and i am officially with child. Got to hear the heartbeat too! Very exciting stuff.

I'm excited to have my first appointment on Saturday. They apparently won't listen to the heartbeat any more as it was getting mothers distressed when they couldn't find it (il be 11 weeks ish). Im disappointed but I understand their reasoning. Still excited to do something baby related!
I had the day off work today which was amazing. My boss told me to take a sick day as I was feeling bad on Wednesday. It has been so lovely and I can't wait for school to break up for summer ( I'm a teacher). Il have 7 weeks off then. Only 8 weeks to go!

I'm bummed, I just got the call that my bloodwork had insufficient results so we get to do it all over again. Except that I won't have a chance to go before we leave for vacation tomorrow. Today's been a really lousy day. I hope tomorrow is much better.

@Mrs.Lilac: I am a teacher too.....only 12 school days left for us!!!!!! We get out 6/4 you?????
I can't wait to sleep in, bask in the sun, and nap whenever I feel like it

@Mrs.Lilac: I had to promise I wouldn't cry if the Dr couldn't get the heartbeat. I told her I know it's a long shot so I would not be disappointed.

@magnolia: thanks. The blood work was for the panorama test for chromosome abnormalities and gender. We are doing this instead of the NT scan.

M/S came at me in full force last week (week 5). I was miserable, like couldn't function and spent the entire weekend lying down. Constant dull headache, exhausted, and nausea all day and all night. So different compared to my first pregnancy. A tiny bit better this week, or maybe I'm just getting used to the feeling. Loving all the u/s pics. I have an appt Tuesday and hope to at least hear a heartbeat this time.

Okay ladies! Update from me!!
I had my appointment with the midwife today. I LOVE her. She was excited to see me again - I saw her a few times during my last pregnancy. I told her about my long irregular cycles and she was all for doing a dating u/s for me because she wanted to make sure we scheduled my NT scan for the right time. But then when she was checking my uterus, I actually started spotting, so then we had a "real" reason to schedule the u/s. I had to get a rhogam shot though because of the spotting. But I was able to get the u/s right after my appointment, which was awesome!
Oddly enough, baby is measuring right at 10w0d, which is further along than I would've thought. I know when I ovulated, so I should only be 9w2d. Is it weird to be measuring 5 days ahead at this stage? Heartbeat was 171, so nice and healthy. And baby was moving all over the place. He/she looked like he/she was dancing, shaking it's little arms and legs. It was so cute!
So tomorrow I need to call back and schedule my NT appointment now that I know how far along I am.

@Adira: yaaaay!! So glad you got to see your bb!!
I have been measuring 1 day ahead since 8 weeks, then yesterday I was measuring 5 days ahead! Not sure why, my only guess is a growth spurt?? Explaining my exhaustion lately? Or is that just crazy pregnant lady thoughts lol
Did you measure ahead with your first?

@Adira: How cute! I measured ahead too, but it was only by one day.

Ok so I had my doctors appointment a week ago now and it went great! Baby was measuring right on date and had a heart rate of 174. So happy also managed to pick up the heartbeat on my doppler yesterday at 9 weeks which was amazing as I was so worried about the heartbeat stopping.

Had my NT scan today and everything looked great! It was so cool to see the little one actually looking like a baby and to compare the pics to our NT scan with M. Amazing to think the babies are kicking and moving so much and we can't feel it! It made the whole thing feel a little more real. DH and M both came, which was a challenge, but now M keeps kissing my belly which is adorable
(Love baby resting his/her foot on their knee in the first pic!

@MrsF: wow the 2nd pic is SO human like (which is duh... It is a human... lol) but how amazing!

@FaithFertility: I have a week of school then we have a week holiday (called half term) then we come back for 7 more weeks and I finally break up for summer holiday on July 23rd until September. How do your terms / semesters work? Is it similar. Our school year starts the first week of September.
Loving all the scan pictures. So adorable. 11 days until my first scan. I'm so nervous about it. I just need to chill. I'm going to beg to hear the baby tomorrow! Wish me luck

@littlek: Thanks
@snowjewelz: I know! I mean, I know it's a human but I can't stop thinking "it has a nose! it has elbows! it has knees!"
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: Like, it has an adult face! The nose is so pronounced! And you can see where the eyes/mouth are, and cheeks! Ahh! I can't get over it. So cute and creepy at the same time. I feel like at any time it can turn around and be like, hi mom!
apricot / 348 posts
@snowjewelz: that just totally freaked me out! The thought of them just turn to the camera (scanner?) and speaking! I'm going to have nightmares now about scan babies. I personally think they are super creepy (and obviously beautiful too - don't want to offend anyone!)
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: I know, I have never described another being as creepy as many time as I have about my own baby! Esp when you see them moving in real time on the screen, its' just sooo weird.
honeydew / 7283 posts
Definitely creepy! I think it gets less weird when you can feel the corresponding movements.
