Hoping some other mamas will join me soon! So excited to be here
Location: Boston suburb
EDD: December 10
How far along: 3 weeks 5 days
First child? Nope, this will be our second! DS is 22 months old.
First doctor appointment: May 7. I will be 9 weeks. We are working with a midwifery practice (again) and won't get to do an ultrasound until 12 weeks. That feels like so long away!
Any symptoms so far? Not a one. I am totally shocked that it happened, and I got a positive test at 8 DPO...I remember no symptoms kicking in last time for a week or two. So far, it doesn't feel real!
Who have you told? DH (haha), my May 2013 mamas from WB, and HB. No one else IRL yet.

@snowjewelz: Thank you!! My first is a June baby, I'm not sure what I am going to do with a snowy winter baby! Any tips for staying sane with a newborn cooped up in doors?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@maybebaby: it was rough... b/c we couldn't take walks, and then flu season is rampant so I didn't bring her anywhere crowded till 2 mos! I just watch tons & tons of TV haha!
Btw, I really like your age spacing! My ideal time for #2 would be to be about 3 years from #1!

@maybebaby: Congrats from another December 2014 mom! I hate winter and being cold so staying indoors was pretty easy for me... I actually preferred getting to stay inside snuggled up with my newborn while it was cold outside. I had plenty of friends come and visit me if I got bored, though!
nectarine / 2177 posts
@snowjewelz: they'll be almost exactly 2.5. I always thought 3 sounded nice, but we got bit by the fever and bad
@whenoceansrise: thank you! when you put it that way it sounds so snuggly and nice! and my toddler will be in daycare while i'm on leave, so he won't be going stir crazy at home.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@maybebaby: 2.5 sounds perfect! For me its just staying away from 2 under 2 haha.
I guess us Dec '14 moms will keep you company for now Hopefully tons of new moms will join soon!

I'm very tentatively joining here. Last time I joined a due date board I had to leave early Hopefully I'll get to stick around this one!
Location: Maryland (Just outside Baltimore)
EDD: December 4th
How far along: 4w3d
First child? Yes!
First doctor appointment: I have an early US scheduled next Tuesday April 7th and a Drs appointment next Thursday April 9th
Any symptoms so far? Twinges that come and go, the concessional nausea but nothing that lasts more than a minute
Who have you told? Just DH and the nurse at the OB's office. Last time we told both sets of parents so this time I think we might wait until we get past the 12 week mark.

Location: Canada
EDD: not too sure yet, somewhere between Dec 6-10
How far along: 4 ish weeks
First child? No, DD will be 2 in a few weeks
First doctor appointment: went today for confirmation. Waiting on an appointment for a dating u/s which will probably be in 4-6 weeks
Any symptoms so far? Just sore boobs. Maybe some nausea but it's very mild.
Who have you told? Both sets of parents and our siblings. Plus my best friend. That'll be it for a while!

Cautiously, yet optimistically, joining the Dec '15 board! 2nd time joining a due date board...hoping this time is the charm!
Location: Southern CA
EDD: December 4th
How far along: 4w4d
First child? Yes!
First doctor appointment: TBD -- my OB does the first appointment and u/s around 7 weeks so I need to schedule something for mid-April
Any symptoms so far? nothing major...slight cramping, a touch of nausea here and there but I may be imagining it
Who have you told? Just my DH! A previous history of CP and MC has made me too anxious to want to share too early. But since I'm pretty sure conception date was St. Patty's Day, I'm hoping a little extra luck that day will help this one stick!

Joining tentatively as well. We weren't really planning this baby for another few months so I think it's taking some time to set in. But I took another Clear Blue digital this morning and the week along had progressed to 2-3 so it's starting to seem more real.
Location: Tennessee
EDD: December 5th
How far along: 4w4d
First child? Nope, we have a daughter who will turn 3 about a week before my due date. We are really happy with the spacing (we were just planning to wait a little while becaue I was hoping for a Spring baby instead of Winter again... oh well!)
First doctor appointment: April 23rd. Don't know if they'll do an ultrasound then or not. I'll be about 7 weeks and last time they did the dating ultrasound at 8 weeks. My OB has switched to all GYN now so she'll see me through my first tri and then help me pick another doctor in her practice to transition to.
Any symptoms so far? Had some nausea that comes and goes. But I'm also dealing with a nasty nasty head cold right now. So it's hard to tell what's bothering me from the pregnancy and what is just from the cold. I'm hoping this clears on it's own quickly. I'd really rather avoid antibiotics this early on.
Who have you told? We have told a couple of close friends, but no one else until after the first ultrasound and even then just parents and siblings. I had a miscarriage before my daughter so we are a little gun shy.

I'm cautiously joining!
Location: Baltimore, MD
EDD: December 3rd
How far along: 5 weeks
First child? Yup!
First doctor appointment: April 24th. They don't do first appointments until 8-10 weeks so I got in as soon as I could.
Any symptoms so far? Was super gassy the end of last week but that seems to be better at the moment. Other than that some bloating, my nipples are sensitive, and occassional cramping.
Who have you told? DH, you guys, and the doctor's office. I think we'll tell family and close friends shortly after we see a heartbeat. Maybe this will feel more real then!

@maybebaby: Thanks! The nurse called and said my numbers looked good for early pregnancy. I was so nervous she was going to give me bad news I forgot to ask the exact number!

Hey ladies congrats to you all! So I'm not officially joining just yet but am hoping to soon. Trying to work somethings out with my insurance so hoping to make an appointment tomorrow or next week.
