I saw my GP yesterday and she tentatively said Feb 5 and that I am 4 weeks. Still cautiously optimistic. Hope to get a more firm date after my first appointment with an OB.

Hey ladies! Congrats on the BFP! I am bouncing between here and the Jan thread. My EDD is Jan 31st. We will see after first u/s though. Went to medical and did the intro visit with the nurse. I dont actually get to see the doc or have a u/s until 12 weeks! : (
How is everyone feeling so far?

@Rescuemom10: Welcome to this thread too and congrats. Started feeling some lower back pain but it comes and goes, mild nausea (more like a queasy stomach), and sore breasts. Other than that I'm pretty good. Not feeling fatigued yet and still able to run/exercise. How are you feeling?
pear / 1965 posts
About the same here! My breast are not as sore as they were last week which is a HUGE releif. OUCH!
I was really tired at first and feeling better and what not there too. (Knock on wood)
I am SUPER anxious for my first u/s. I seriously have no idea how I am going to wait another 6 weeks.

I have my first Dr's appt on June 18th. I went off BC in Feb but we werent ttc for a few months. Last month we just went with the flow and here i am preggo. Granted i was charting but didnt really think itd happen on the first try.

Thank you all for the kind words! @PhillyBaby - I think we are in the same boat as well as the same EDD! This was a surprise to us as I was only charting.

First doctor's appointment: Took my first beta at 13DPO and was at 133. Will take second beta test in one week.
How do you feel?/Symptoms so far: Pretty good energy wise and not too many symptoms, surprisingly. I have tender breasts and get crampy once in awhile. I hear it's due to your uterus expanding. I also need to pee a lot more. Good thing my office is close to the bathroom!
Who have you told?: My hubby (we found out at the same time), my doctors and my acupuncturist (she did wonders for regulating my wonky cycles).
Look forward to learning more about you ladies

Who have you told?: DH, my doctors, and my two best friends (I couldn't help it!!)

@brittanym526: congratulations!
@Phillybaby2013: i was super worried about the crampiness in my abdomen too. i asked around, and it seems to be normal. now when i feel it, i just think about how sweet baby is growing in me.

here's my low-down...
EDD: february 11, 2013
How far along?: 4w1d
How long TTC: we pulled the goalie on mother's day (may 13), and got the bfp on june 1.
First child?: yes!!
Any feeling about boy/girl: i don't know why, but everyone's guessed girl so far.
First doctor's appointment: june 26th - can't wait to hear the sweet little heartbeat!
How do you feel?/Symptoms so far: cramping/discomfort, fatigue, lots of bloating -- all of which are my usual period symptoms. i can't even suck in anymore - i feel like someone put a balloon in my stomach then blew it up.
Who have you told?: hubby, my parents, in-laws, all of our siblings, and our 2 best friends. i suck at keeping secrets, so this is so hard for me!
apricot / 359 posts
@photojane: I suck at keeping secrets too. So many times today I wanted to just tell my close coworkers. One gave me a cheeky smile and I was thinking, "How did she know!?" She, of course, didn't...but I have no poker face so I was wondering if I was giving it away somehow!
@ladyfingers: Studies have shown that women pregnant with girls have a 50% higher chance of having morning sickness. Thought that was interesting! http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/19/health/19real.html
@arden: I hope you can join us too! *baby dust to you*
pomelo / 5331 posts
@Mrs. Lantern: That is interesting! Maybe I hope it's a boy, then I don't know why I think it's a girl, because having a girl freaks me out! Having been a teenager and all myself, and knowing how I butted heads with my mother so badly. We will see!
I had some brown discharge last night and got a little freaked out, thinking it was the start of something, but it was scant and didn't persist at all, no cramping. I called the doctor's office this morning and the nurse assured me it's typical - Phew! I was so nervous also because it seems like my boobs hurt less the last couple of days than they did for the few days before that. Stupid in and out symptoms.
honeydew / 7235 posts
Congrats Feb 2013 ladies! just saw this thread & had to pop in!
@Mrs. Lantern: i think this theory is true! I didn't have any morning sickness - well, maybe a little queasy for a couple days - and it freaked me out because my mom was super sick (with 2 girls) - turns out I'm having a boy!
@ladyfingers: i had brown spotting between weeks 6 & 7 - freaked me out - but it was OK... (i'm 20 weeks now, baby looks great)
pomelo / 5331 posts
@hellobeeboston: Yeah I guess I'm still a little nervous. I keep poking my boobs wondering why they don't hurt anymore lol. Nipples are super sore to the touch though!

apricot / 359 posts
So glad to see more Feb 2013 babies joining this thread!
@ladyfingers: I totally hear you on the spotting scare. I check every time I wipe. Glad your nurse was reassuring!
@hellobeeboston: if the theory is true...we are having a boy! I'm not sure when morning sickness is supposed to kick in in first tri...but it may vary for each person.
@Phillybaby2013: those are great beta numbers! I go in for my second beta next monday.

I went in for a blood test and urine sample this morning to determine my prenatal blood grouping/Ab screen. I used to be afraid of needles, but after all my recent blood tests, I feel like a pro, LOL.

So exciting to see more ladies on this thread!
EDD: February 5, 2013
How far along?: 5w1d
How long TTC: We went off the pill at the end of April. We were taking the casual TTC route for the first month and got lucky.
First child?: Yes

Hey ladies! My symptoms seem to come and go. Yesterday the symptoms I had been experiencing previously kind of went away aside from the sore boobs. I was also just a little more fatigued but that could be due to an early wake up call and no coffee. Has anyone else experienced this?
pea / 9 posts
@Phillybaby2013: You started spotting a little bit too when you wipe? I experienced this for the first time this morning - freaked me out a bit. Glad to know that someone told you it is normal!
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
@WALLAROO: i haven't really had too much going on other than extreme bloating. i've been pretty tired too, but no nausea, throwing up, or sore boobs. i'm actually really surprised that i haven't had sore boobs, since they get really painful during my periods. i did read that most morning sickness doesn't start until 6 or 7 weeks, so we have a week or so left!
apricot / 359 posts
@WALLAROO: My symptoms are like this too...comes and goes. I think I might be looking too deeply into them, lol.
@photojane: is that when morning sickness starts? I was wondering why I haven't had it yet. Guess we should all make the most of this week before the nausea kicks in!
@brittanym526: I also hear it's completely normal But it doesn't make it any less scary!

I found an article on the Top 14 Pregnancy Fears, and it's as if they read my mind. I'm glad I'm not the only out there with these fears! http://www.parents.com/pregnancy/complications/health-and-safety-issues/top-pregnancy-fears/
kiwi / 711 posts
@Mrs. Lantern: I know. I think I'm reading too much into it. I need to stop obsessing. Haha. Easier said than done
apricot / 359 posts
@brittanym526: Right after my response to you, I started spotting too. At first it was brown CM, then there was a bit of light pink. Now it's brown again. I went to see my doctor and she ordered a blood test to measure my HSG levels. Scarrry stuff :S
kiwi / 520 posts
@brittanym526: @Mrs. Lantern: i agree that its totally scary but slightly reassuring that other people have the same issue who add due at the same time. I had it two days this week and then stopped. Barely anything both times but im so paranoid when i go to the bathroom now and i feel like i go much more often partially to "check". The crazy things our bodies are doing!
Is anyone else feeling an almost constant slight pressure feeling in your lower abdomen? Its not a cramp or a pain just like a gentle reminder all the time that somethings going on in there.
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
@Mrs. Lantern: hope everything's okay! it seems like spotting is pretty ordinary, so i hope that's the case for you too.
@Phillybaby2013: i've been feeling on and off crampy/pressure since like 8dpo. as of this week, it's pretty much all the time now. at first it freaked me out, but now i find it exciting -- my baby's growing!
