J is almost 6 months and I'm really surprised that he doesn't seem to be a fan of the Jumperoo. What the heck. I'm trying not to compare, but I remember his older sister loving the jumperoo starting at 4-5 months! But then again, she is super active, opinionated, and sassy... whereas J is just a chill little guy that seems to like to lounge around.
He still hasn't found his feet yet either. When does that happen? I can't remember.
So far he can roll over one way, he's great at making eye contact and "responding" when we talk and play with him. He laughs a ton, and likes to stand up on his two legs when I hold him up. He is also getting better at sitting up unassisted for really short periods of time. He tries to "crawl" but it's mostly just him flopping around on his belly looking like a fish out of water, he can't really get anywhere yet.
How is everyone else's LO's doing?

@Mrs. High Heels: We have one of the doorway jumpers - K likes it and C hates it. But we've only used it a few times. But after maybe two times in the jumper, K now wants to jump all. the. time. Anytime you hold her in anything approaching a vertical position she is bouncing! Even if she is 100 percent against my body, if there is something to push off of, those legs are working.
Both girls found their feet about a month ago but I don't know when the norm is - K is much more interested in them than C is.
I am REALLY hoping the girls remember how to roll from tummy to back soon. They started rolling that way first, but now they have completely forgotten. They are more and more comfortable on their stomachs - I have found K on her tummy asleep a few times - but more often than not they get stuck and unhappy.
K is scooting backwards pretty well but not all the time. C, not so much. It seems like K is a little ahead on the physical milestones lately, which surprised me because she is the bigger of the two (by a half pound, so not that much) and I thought smaller babies were usually quicker on these things. The only thing C seems to be better at than her sister is sitting. I think she is a little lower-energy - she is more focused on things close around her while K is looking all over all the time. We've started telling her "Way to plant, C" if there are any Arrested Development fans around

@Mrs. High Heels: O loves the jumperoo and looks like he is river dancing. It is so cute. M likes it but doesn't love it. M&O are like J with the attempt at crawling. They just kind of flop or rotate in the same exact spot. They found their feet about a month ago like @twobee: twins. They aren't putting it in their mouth but just playing with their feet and pulling it out to extend/straighten their legs.
@twobee: we don't have any scooting going on over here. They aren't continuously rolling either. Isn't it fun to see how they develop at different rates and different skills at a time? LOL regarding the AD reference.

LO is pretty active. I think she's hitting that stage where she's frustrated that she can't crawl. She'll roll and spin around, inching closer and closer to what she wants. She's just starting to get up on one knee but can't quite get it all to come together. She wants to be held in a standing position all the time. The jumperoo is a lifesaver though! She is in love with it. If I put her in her seat while I go do something she stares longingly at it!
She is *so loud* now. Literally scaring the crap out of our little dog. She was making so much noise the other day he freaked out and pooped in the corner. Nothing that sounds like words yet but she loves to babble away.
We ask her for kisses all the time and she opens her mouth up, haha. We have her dolls kiss her, too and the other day she grabbed her favorite and brought it's face right to hers and put her closed lips to it's mouth, it was so sweet!

@WALLAROO: river dancing?? haha that's such a cute image!!
@JerricaBenton: @WALLAROO: i hope DS starts getting into the jumperoo soon. i thought it was one of those things all babies take to - i mean, what's not to like! it's such an eyesore, if he doesn't like it i'd really like to put it away.

@Mrs. High Heels: Haha, yes - they are pretty hideous, huh? When we were planning for LO I was all like, 'ew I don't want all that plastic crap in my house!' and now my house looks like an aisle in Toys R Us.
I was nervous about over-stimulation when we first got it, so I'd put her in facing one activity, let her play for like, 3 minutes, then take her out. Maybe if you let LO leave it wanting more, he'll get more into it.

@Mrs. High Heels: J's too squishy to find his feet!
I feel like Xander's kind of slow when it comes to milestones. He's still not sitting unassisted (though he's getting closer every day!) and he can't bear weight on his legs for very long, the little weakling! Plus rolling - forget about it! He's rolled both ways, but he's definitely not consistent, and he forgets how to do it. He friggin HATES tummy time, so I don't think he's ever going to crawl!
We recently introduced Xander to the exersaucer though and he friggin LOVES it!!!!! He thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread! And Hubs was playing peak-a-boo with him and he was just LAUGHING!!! So fun!!!

Anything new in the world of milestones? LO has been crazy up on hands and knees the last week. She rocks back and forth and she'll even push up onto her feet, like downward dog, but she faceplants soon after Sometimes she'll get one knee forward, like she's going to crawl, but the other knee slides back and she gets nowhere. These new tricks are keeping her happy for now.
