Just wondering if any fellow Jan 14 mommas have announced their news to anyone... DH and I were a little anxious and told both of our parents already. It is just so long to wait until our first appointment and we are really close with them, so if anything happens we would have told them anyway!
If not, when will you share?

Only my family (parents, sister, by extension BIL). DH and I will tell his side if they ask (they know we've been trying and doing IUI).

We've told our parents, my SIL, and a few close friends that it would be hard to hide it from! We are planning on announcing to our family and close friends at my son's first birthday party on the 19th (I have an ultrasound on the 16th) but other than that I don't really know. We didn't really announce on facebook or anything last time, just kind of let other people say things and people figured it out!
Oh... and I've told my fellow May 2012 mamas

I have only told one of my close friends and only because we share an office so I figured she might notice some of my symptoms. She was beyond excited, I hadn't told her we were TTC. Other than that we're waiting until after our first appointment at 8 weeks to tell anyone else.

We've told my mama, DH's parents, and I'm going to tell my sisters tonight. Other than that probably not until the 2nd trimester

We have told three of my friends. I think this will be our last baby, so I want to do something fun to tell people (don't know what!). We will tell parents after the first visit and then the rest of the world around 12 weeks.
Anyone else HATE telling people? I am always worried I'll get yelled at (i guess it is so ingrained in me that you DON'T get pregnant, from high school and college!). ANd, with this being out third I'm worried about comments like "really?! another one" or because this one (B3 is what we are calling it) and DS will be 22 months apart "so close together?!?" I'm not looking forward to blabbing the news hahhaha

We told my mom and I told my BFF. We won't be telling anyone else for a while because our last ended in a m/c. We may tell my little brother but we will not tell DH's family because of all the drama the last time we told them.

We told my sister (whose wedding I'll now be pregnant during), my upstairs neighbor who lent me the pregnancy test (funny, I know), and one of my classmates who also has children. All of our family lives out of town, so we'd like to tell them in person. We're planning on telling my parents over Memorial Day weekend and DH's two weeks later when we visit them. I don't know when we'll tell my other sisters, though....they can't keep a secret for anything!
@MamaBehr: I'm nervous, too! Mostly because we didn't wait a cycle between our m/c before trying again. We got the all clear from our doc, but that doesn't mean I want the comments! Also, the timing isn't 100% perfect with my school schedule. It will be totally fine, but that doesn't mean people won't ask.

@MamaBehr: DS and this LO will be 22 months apart too... I am some will comment on "how close together" but we have also had others hounding us about having another one for a few months now.
I have to really think about what I am saying though around some of our friends. It's so easy to almost let it slip in simple comments.
Oh, we told our siblings this weekend already too. My SIL is pregnant and due in November so we were excited to share the news with them.

I told my mom and dad and sister today. My mom squealed she was so excited! She had a m/c before she had me so I would want to talk to her if that happened to me. My BFF and my boss know too (I'm a nurse and there are certain patients I can't take so I kinda had to tell her!)

i've told my best friend who i am taking a trip with in a few weeks and wouldn't have been able to hide things from. I also ended up telling another close friend who had been acting a little distant, so I was suspecting she may have been pregnant. She was worried about telling me because she knew me and DH had been having difficulties conceiving. I told her and she admitted she was too. I wanted to tell my parents but not Dh's, but he didn't think that was fair so we are waiting to tell both after our first appointment at 10 weeks.

My sister is the only one who knows. She had asked when I had set my appointment with my RE and I said I had to wait for AF to show. At that point I was already 2 days late. We had lunch a week later, she had asked again, and I couldn't lie to her. She is also pg and now excited that our LO's will be so close in age.
My DH and I are going to wait until the 2nd Trimester to tell everyone else.

Well I just found out today, so I actual called my bff before my DH got home from work and was freaking out to her. Haha. We haven't decided when we are going to tell our parents. We definitely want to do it in person though.

@MamaBehr: I'm nervous to tell people too because they are only going to be 18 months apart!! People made plenty of comments when we got pregnant right after our wedding the first time!

I told my BFF right away. Then we told my mom & his parents. I had to ask for time off yesterday & knew my supervisor would be pissed so I told her that this appointment would have a positive outcome 
Then I told my best friend at work cause he would catch on right away! I think DH told his supervisor. That's all for now as far as I know. We want to wait till closer to 12 weeks.
I will be seeing my family at 7 weeks and won't see them again till way later in the year so I will probably break the news then. DH's family will be here this weekend but we will wait till around 10 weeks when they are back for the 4th of July.

We told my parents this past weekend and my dad was super excited and gave DH a high-5, lol. My Mom reacted exactly as I thought she would: "why didn't you tell me earlier!?" Haha, this will be their 5th grandchild.
We went down to have dinner with DH's parents last night for a belated mother's day and in the card I said from Abby, DH, and Baby M. She read it and was like, "Aww, baby M..." *confused look* "baby M?? Are you pregnant!?!?" Then she got tears in her eyes and was so, so excited. DH's sister is currently pregnant and due in October, so the babies will be 3months apart! We called his sister right there and she just screamed, lol.
It's so fun telling people!
