@Navy_Mommy: super cute theme!

I've had my nurseries planned before I was even trying to get pregnant! I'm a little crazy, lol.

For a boy, I want to do a rustic texas/cowboy/western theme. Something like tan walls, dark furniture, the name spelled out in rope, little cowboy boots, accents of red and blue, windmill decal etc.

For a girl, I want to do a vintage bird/birdhouse theme. Lavender and grey with pops of canary yellow. Probably white furniture with maybe a yellow dresser.

Ooo! So fun! I love the Dr. Seuss idea! We aren't sure yet and I have been trying to hold off planning until we know gender. We find out in a little over a week! Yay! I have no thoughts for a boy yet, but if it's a girl I have some fun fabric that is greens and purples with birds and birdcages on it that I will probably use as inspiration. I will have to post a picture sometime.

@abbydabbydoodlebug my son's room is cowboy themed! It is so cute (I can say that because we didn't decorate it, we bought a model home with all the model home furniture in it, I'm not creative enough for the stuff that is in his room!) If you end up needing anything, let me know, they over decorated and we have some stuff that is just in a closet, and if you cover shipping you can have it!

@amandab8 super cute nursery! Good luck on closing on your house and the move! I hate moving... I hope I never have to do it again hahahaha

I'm afraid that I don't get to do a nursery with this one We aren't buying a new crib, so this LO will be with us until DS is ready to be out of the crib, and we need the spare bedroom for at least a month after the baby's birth because my Mom is staying with us. I really hope that when the nesting urge hits me this doesn't bother me. I did buy some crib bedding that is gender neutral for cheap (unused pottery barn, crib skirt, three sheets, and bumper for $75 ~ booyah!)

We are going with colors more so than anything else. Grey with pops of yellow and aqua for now.

@Navy_Mommy: WOW! That looks amazing!! I wish I could reupholster our lazboy we're planning on using for the Nursery. I was just going to get one of those slip covers from Amazon!

We're doing rainbow colors with mismatched patterns. It's pretty bright and semi-girly in a not everything is pink kind of way.

Our nursery is mostly white and beige with touches of soft pink and light colors. It's turning out to look more modern victorian-ish... if that makes sense! haha.

@Sugar.Biscuit: The color looks great! That is a LOT to do haha good luck! I'm sure it'll look fantastic when you get through it all!

Here's my project 1/3 completed for my boys nursery. Couldn't find cute animal cutouts at michaels and decided to make my own animals out of felt and used a shadow box

@Honeydew: wow, you've got skills! So cute!!

Ordered our cribs this weekend. We went with a Bonavita....I had never heard of it before & got two of the cribs from the Bradlee Collection. I think we got a good deal. We paid about $674 for both...I was a mess yesterday. I completely forgot to ask all the safety features and if it is adjust able, etc. I was dog tired after several hours of traveling, registering, a blown out tire on the interstate & more shopping...

What do you ladies think? Did we make a good choice? I think we may go with the double dresser as well just cause it matches. I'm to lazy to look anywhere else right now. Unless you all have suggestion?

@Sugar.Biscuit: Gorgeous crib!!

We finally got our crib that we ordered 4 weeks ago this past weekend and put it together. We got the Graco Lauren. It's a simple crib but since I'm so short, I needed something that wasn't too bulky!

It really SMELLED when we opened the box but after a few days, the smell went away. I don't know if this is normal for products like this but I recommend putting these together before baby comes (some people were telling me I didn't have to rush) so the smell goes away!

We just have a bookshelf to assemble and we're good to start actually decorating!

@wahine08. We also ordered the graco Lauren and just set it up this past weekend. Didn't notice a smell. But it seems to be a good looking crib when put together. Not too bulky

@AmandaB8: Don't feel bad. We started putting together the nursery, well built the furniture and picked out bedding, but as of this week it looks like we may be buying a house. So nursery is completely on hold and if everything goes according to plan the place will be ours sometime at the end of November and then I can start putting the nursery together, again.

@abbydabbydoodlebug - your nursery looks fantastic! I love the colors!

I'm so jealous you guys have your furniture up! We just got back into out house after having the floors refinished & we are way behind! I still have to find a dresser! Oyi!

@Sugar.Biscuit: what color are your cribs? I would probably do the changing table with drawers since you've had such a hard time finding the right size dresser. Those are essentially just small dressers anyway.

I finished my first diy project for the room! I found a tutorial on pinterest for a mobile and finished it today! I'm loving it.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures. It was hard to hold it still and take a picture at the same time! Lol.

Now the question is.... Do I hang it over the crib, or the changing table??
