@shoemama: It seemed fine. The tech said everything was good, but that is what they said with my first and my OB called a few days later flagging something (which later cleared up) so I am paranoid about getting another call this time around. How did your u/s go???

@Andrea: that exact same thing happened with my first too...so I am cautious about this u/s too...but the tech said everything looked fine. last time my son had a large nuchal fold so that was a marker for down syndrome...no fun. I got the amnio and 10 days later we were told he was fine...hoping this doesnt happen again!

@shoemama: ugh, so sorry to hear about last time. Wasn't that the worst?? On mine they saw some choroid plexus cysts in her brain, which also indicates DS. They had me wait a whole month to get a Level II ultrasound. I hope that we can both avoid scares this time!

@pipersmommy glad everything's ok!I finally called my dr's office and they moved my anatomy scan up to aug 30. I was definitely scheduled waay too late.

My anatomy scan is on the 27th... I get to see him every 2 weeks now which is awesome, but I'm excited to find out some clearer details!

ok, i made a list going back through the thread and i'm sure i missed something, but if everyone would let me know what i'm missing, i'll update the doc! do we want our real first names on the doc? we don't have to refer to it on the thread, but if people are comfortable, i can put them on the private doc.

@dagret: For me it was worse than feeling full, but it also definitely takes a few weeks to be used to having your stomach "out" all the time!

Is anyone starting to think about maternity photographers? I'll be 30-36 weeks in the time spanning a few weeks before thanksgiving and Christmas. Prime busy time, and a busy time of year for photographers...

@dagret: I keep debating about doing a maternity shoot. I would love the pictures for posterity, but not sure I want to spend the money. I keep hoping I'll think of a friend who is great at photography who I can bug to take nice pretty pictures for me. The only person I can think of right now is my ex-boyfriend, who is my best friend, but I still think that's kind of weird.

I'm not sure about a maternity shoot, the timing isn't great as we'll be travelling for a wedding at around 30 weeks. I don't want to do it when I'm huge, but still want a good sized bump.
Has anyone looked into pediatricians yet? Am I totally behind?

@oliviaoblivia: i got a pediatrician rec from my obgyn! if you aren't sure, ask your doc if there is a practice or physician they recommend!

@oliviaoblivia: I haven't started. I really like my family doc and planned to just take LO there, but I was there recently and found out she is also pregnant and will be out her own maternity leave when LO is born. Soo...not sure if I want to see a different physician in the practice at first or find a new practice.

I'm sitting here and I think I might feel baby???!! It doesn't feel like butterflies but like a a bubble pushing towards my belly and going away, Maybe baby? Maybe the oreos I just ate woke baby up hehe... Im a first timer so I don't know what Im supposed to feel? I'd like to think its baby and not just gas haha
So anyone feeling baby yet????

@heartsnsunshine: I would say baby also! I think i have felt some movement also. I wouldnt say it feels like butterflies, I would say mine feels like when you drink a big glass of water and kinda feel it slosh around in your belly if you move around...but in my uterus. ??? I dont get it too often though,, but i did get one pop about a week ago, it make me put my hand on my tummy, but who knows, lol. Not sure if it is the baby moving but it makes me feel better thinking it is

Big kicks today! I still feel the bubbles and pops, but this morning I felt some strong bumps and am feeling movement more regularly. Love it!
Man I love this little one so much already!

@oliviaoblivia: The movements haven't been that strong for me. Mostly I feel a little quick pressing from inside. I usually only feel it in the evening when I'm relaxing on the couch. We were listening to the heartbeat at my midwife appointment two days ago and we could also hear him/her kicking a lot --little bumps against the inside of my uterus -- but I couldn't feel it. crazy.

popping in to be nosy! I was afraid I wouldn't know when I felt baby because I was told I had an anterior placenta, but right around 18 weeks or so I noticed it. it took another 1-2 weeks for me to be certain - but it felt almost like a little muscle spasm! the uterus is still relatively low at that point, so that can also help you pinpoint it. once I realized what it was, I realized I'd been feeling it for a bit!
it also kind of feels like that bubble in your belly you get before you have to fart - but then not farting

I felt something, once, Saturday night, that I thought might have been the baby. But I haven't felt it since. I'm so anxious for the day that I feel something and know - woah, that's baby!

Hey ladies! I'm just being nosy to see how everyone is doing. Glad to see you're all finding out the sex! You can take me off of the list. We had a m/c at 9 weeks. Hopefully, I'll be on another month board soon!
