@Mrs Green Grass: I'm so glad that you mentioned about belly's growing and feeling really uncomfortable, because that is how I feel NOW. It's like over night my belly started to expand and it's so tight/weird feeling. I was wondering if 16 weeks was too early to start feeling like that but I guess thats normal?
also, I bought a mini snoogle and I LOVE it! I tried to sleep without it one night and couldn't, I would invest in one!
oh and I also cry at everything.... I was tearing up last night during the Olympics I tried to hid it from DH so he didn't make fun of me lol

@birdofafeather: I think I also pay attention less, though. I spend more time thinking about my toddler than this little bean. I remember spending a lot of time thinking about my pregnancy last time and preparing. I need to start thinking about it because I do have to buy SOME things for this one! Poor second children.

@heartsnsunshine: Oh yeah, my stomach feels like it doubled in size in the last week. It's so weird! Definitely a little uncomfortable. I bought some cocoa butter over the weekend and that helps just to soothe it a little and make it feel a bit less "stretched."
I was 6lb 8oz, my sister was 8-something, but she was also 23 days late (yes, 23 DAYS late). Hubs and his brothers were all around 8, I think. I'm hoping that I'll have a baby my size, ha.

@birdofafeather: i agree with you about the 3d ultrasound...totally worth it!!! I'm so glad we did it..even though my ultrasound is scheduled for next Monday...6 days was too long

@shoemama: Congrats on the baby girl!
I just had my monthly dr. appointment. Everything's fine, I go back the week of Labor Day and then we'll have our anatomy scan on Oct. 11 - my husband's birthday.

@shoemama: congratulations!
regarding belly size, i'm 15 weeks and my belly seems to have zipped past some kind of threshold overnight. i think i will buy maternity pants this weekend for work.

SO jealous everyone is getting to find out the gender already!! My monthly appointment is next week and no u/s is scheduled yet!!! Ahh the wait is a killer!
@shoemama: congrats on your little girl!!

I go back in for a reg check up on the 13th. But no U/S that day. I dont even have my scan scheduled yet. I am surprised I am not dying to know, I dont know why I feel so relaxed and "whatever" about it. I mean I want to know....just surprised I am so laid back about it. DH on the other hand is so antsy. I think he may cave in and go to a place out in town.
I had to see a specialist yesterday. Three hour drive to go there and then got stuck down there because a semi spilled hazmat all over the interstate. Ugh it was a long day. It went well though. Def not concerned and he put our minds at east realizing the possibility of baby having this gentic condition that runs in DH's fam. So not worried about that anymore. I need to be tested to see if I could be a "carrier" but that chances are so small. So thats good.
How is everyone feeling?

Hopping over to join from Weddingbee! I'm 15 weeks and had an appointment this morning. It was a boring one and we just heard baby on the doppler - 144 beats! Ultrasound in 4 weeks for our a/s and I cannot wait!
Hope you ladies are all doing wonderfully!

@coacheswife123: welcome and congratulations!
I have a new A/S date Aug 21, and it can't get here soon enough! I'm feeling more bubbles and bumps in there. I can't wait until they are strong enough for DH to feel.

@oliviaoblivia: so exciting! I have NO idea what we are having but everyone thinks girl... I've REALLY been trying to pay attention to my belly - I hope I can start feeling some movements soon!

@coacheswife123: Welcome and congrats! I agree, so far the OB appointments have been kind of boring. I had one on Tuesday and I'm pretty sure our time with the doctor was all of 4 minutes, since Hubs and I didn't really have any questions.
@oliviaoblivia: I"m so jealous you're feeling baby! I haven't felt anything yet and I CAN'T WAIT!
@Rescuemom10: Did I miss something about needing to see a specialist? Glad to hear the appointment went well and that your fears are at rest. I know how that feels! (c:

@coacheswife123: Welcome! My appointment yesterday was super-boring and quick too.
Does anyone else thing Oct. 11 is pretty darn far away for my a/s? I will be 25 weeks! I was thinking about calling and asking but I don't want to be a pain.
Last night I went through all of my work pants - only 3 pair fit right now. I have 2 trash bags of clothes to store in the attic. Hope I fit back into them someday!
I *think* i might have felt something last night when I woke up & turned over in the middle of the night - kind of a light, quick tapping and then it stopped. It could be movement, I guess, but it seems pretty early for a FTM. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow.

@dagret: Thanks, dear!
If it were me, I would consider that late -but only because my doctor likes to do a/s between weeks 18 and 20 depending on when your monthly appointment falls. I go back at the end of this month and will be 19 weeks!
We are right about the same - i'm 15 weeks 1 day and am SO ready to feel movement. I've been trying to pay super close attention!

@coacheswife123: WELCOME!!!!!
@eiko2010: Yeah I was not too worreid, but our doc still wanted us to see a genetic specialist...even less worried now! ; )
@dagret: That does seem late. Is the doc going to be our of town or something? Mine does it at 20 weeks and I felt that was waiting long enough!
I actually couldnt wait....I just posted earlier how I have been so good about not being super anxious to find out...was talking to my SIL and she got me excited realizing how soon I COULD find out. So then the idea STUCK in my head.....sooooo........
I am going out in town...we will find out on the 21st! NOW I am anxious! Ugh! Thank you SIL! Hahaha!

@dagret: I would call. I thought they do the scans between 18-20 at most doctors offices.
The baby has started to move around a lot and I feel huge! I am looking about 6 months pregnant compared to my last pregnancy, which I was huge at the end...I literally looked like I had put a BIG beach ball in my shirt...I cant imagine getting bigger than I was last time...I'm only 5 feet tall, so the baby literally has no where to go!

@dagret: my OB does it between 18-22 weeks depending on when your monthly visits fall. not sure the timeline and why they do it at that point, but it is kinda weird, so at least call and ask if that's correct for the number of weeks you are going to be and why.

@Andrea: congrats!
Anyone else still kind of a worry wart even though we are in 2nd tri?? Trying to keep worrying at bay but it is so hard.

@Andrea: Congrats on baby girl #2!!
Next appt scheduled for 8/14 no scan scheduled yet, I saw my MD on Friday because of some fairly heavy bleeding Thursday night (15 weeks 3 days). when I saw her on Friday morning, the active bleeding had stopped and cervix is tightly closed, heartrate was great and baby was moving like crazy leading her to believe that the placenta is low at this point. Fingers crossed it corrects itself. When talking with her I think she send my for my anatomy scan before the end of August.

@coacheswife123: thanks! and I don't think you stop worrying so it's ok. once you have a newborn, there will be new things to worry about so it's just part of being a mommy now.
@Pipers Mommy: thanks and so glad everything is ok!!
@Rescuemom10: woohoo, thanks!!

@Andrea: congrats!
@Pipers Mommy: how scary! i'm glad you're okay.

@coacheswife123: It's like my friend told me - the worrying starts from the 2nd pink line and doesn't ever stop!
@Pipers Mommy: You must have been so scared! I'm so glad to hear everything is ok!

@eiko2010: Definitely was, I think I got up to go the bathroom a 100 times that night.

@Pipers Mommy: Sorry you had such a scare!
I actually bled a little just before the 15 week mark. I called my midwife and she explained it was due to whatever happens when at this stage the placenta fully takes over delivering nutrients, oxygen etc. she said it was pretty common. And the bleeding stopped quite quickly.

I'm can't wait to find out what I'm having. I've been trying to register without knowing and it's crazy because not much out there is unisex. So much stuff to sort though and figure out what you need. It's driving me crazy.
I had my first prenatal massage on Friday it was great. Also I really can't ear any of my regular clothes anymore.
