Congrats to everyone finding out the genders!!! So exciting! I cant wait till next week
Di you guys have to have a full bladder for the scan? They didnt say anything so I was thinking you dont have to like you do for the 12 week scan.

@pinkb: I went in with a full bladder and then had to wait an hour because the appointment before mine went late. It was uncomfortable, but seeing our baby girl was worth it!

@pinkb: i was supposed to drink 20 oz of water an hour before and hold my bladder for the scan today.

crap i was really hoping you didnt need a full bladder. It hurt so bad last time. O well I just like getting to see the bean so whatever it takes!

@birdofafeather: If you don't mind, I'll send you a PM on weddingbee.
I have to have a full bladder for mine. It's the first time I've had to and I'm nervous!

I was told by the office to have a full bladder for mine (finish 20oz an hour before appointment time) but when I got there, the ultrasound tech told me to empty it. That may be because she did a cervix check first, though. But she definitely didn't have any trouble seeing Baby Boy with the regular ultrasound and an empty bladder! I say go full, and then ask if they need it full or if you can pee first! If I'd had to hold it for my entire anatomy scan, I might have burst! I was so relieved when she told me I could pee!

I didn't have to have a full bladder before my 11 week u/s and my anatomy scan is a week from today, surely they would've told me if I needed to hold it?! I'm thinking no because they make me TT in a cup each time I go - so fingers crossed.
I'm 18weeks today and woke up with a lower back that hurtssss. growing pains, I guess!

@pinkb: I have a prep sheet from my MD about my scan, I don't have to have a full bladder.

I think it's kind of silly. I get an ultrasound every other week on an empty bladder and the doc has never had problems. I'm supposed to drink 32! ounces an hour before the anatomy scan. There must be some issue if the baby is in a certain position, but I would hope they'd let me pee if everything is fine!

Oh my gosh, 20 weeks today - halfway there! My sister and brother-in-law sent us a sweet "Happy Halfway" gift the other day - an organic monkey teether/rattle, a monkey finger puppet, and a matching board book. So cute! We just sat down and mapped out the rest of our weekends and boy, we are running short on weekends to get the nursery ready! We figured out that we have about 8 free weekends between now and our due date! ACK!

i finally felt our little lady moving! not only on the inside, but on the outside! i called DH over, but he could barely feel anything. i can't wait until it's super obvious so he can feel! so exciting! made it that much more real! (isn't it weird how every step it sinks in a little more?)

@Jumpingjacks: yay for a girl! it must make it feel so much more real.
@birdofafeather: aaaah are you serious? that's so awesome! i'm sure DH will be able to catch her moving sometime soon! i can't wait to start feeling movement.

Thanks everyone!
@birdofafeather: Cool! I can't feel it on the outside yet, but I feel her from the inside all day long. She woke me up at 3:30 this a.m. too! And this morning she kicked the ultrasound wand when the tech was doing the U/S! so fun!

@Jumpingjacks: Congrats on the girl!!!
I am seriously having issues waiting till Tuesday, and with the hurricane/ storm headed our way I really hope they dont postpone it
pomelo / 5628 posts
@Jumpingjacks: Congrats!
I am anxiously awaiting feeling movement too! I feel pressure, but nothing that can definitely be attributed to kicks. He's always moving on the ultrasound though (had another yesterday) so I know it'll be soon.

@Jumpingjacks: Congrats on baby girl!
I'm still not feeling any movement, and I'm sooooo anxious!

We have one very stubborn baby. OVER AN HOUR of trying to peek between the legs we were about to give up. Right as the Tech said we should reschedule and that this was the hardest one she has ever had...they spread.... they were pretty sure and even had a second person look...looks like we are having a girl!

Hey ladies, I'm a lurker from the February 2013 board but my baby could potentially be born in January so I check in and see what you guys are up to from time to time...anyways I just wanted to send a big CONGRATS to everyone on finding out genders and good checkups!!! This is such an exciting time and it's so nice to be able to share it with such awesome people. ; )

I've been feeling movements for a little over a week! Last night I was laying in bed and felt the wiggle worm in there so I placed my hand over my stomach and felt the movements on the outside! My husband was able to feel a definite kick today! As a first time mommy this was AMAZING. Its been my favorite part of pregnancy so far!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Our scan is this week and I know several others are too - can't wait to hear the results from everyone!
honeydew / 7504 posts
WOW! I just checked the spreadsheet, and we have 4 scans this week! Exciting!! Hope you all have cooperative babies!
@Phillybaby2013: Thanks! Congrats and good luck to you!
