Hi everyone- I thought I would start a thread we could use to talk about our symptoms.
So far I'm just tired and have sore boobs.
How about you?

I'll cross post from the general board, so it's easier to follow!
Boobs are more tender, tired earlier in the day, and still mostly just a decreased appetite with a wave of nausea here and there but not so bad I feel like I'll vomit, just a "uh, I don't feel so good".
I also feel like I'm more sensitive to smells and pee a lot more often (however I used to be able to go all day without peeing, so I'm probably just peeing more like a normal person!)
I'm still crampy too, if you can call it cramps. My menstrual cramps were horrible and they are nothing like that, but they are there. Everything just makes me feel a little pregnant, which is reassuring!

My boobs aren't sore but my nipples are so sensitive, it hurts to even put a bra on!
I've had only a few waves of nausea but I'm taking a little extra B6 so it could be helping. I truly HATE feeling nauseated and vomiting!
I'm peeing a LOT but I'm also drinking water like crazy.
Mostly, though I'm just so tired. I went to bed last night at 7pm! The SUN was still setting!! haha

@Emsmems: I thought it might be easier to read this way. I've been super sensitive to smell too. I'm hoping for no ms (by BFF had it through her whole pregnancy and said it was horrible).

@wahine08: I'm so jealous 7 sounds like a wonderful bedtime right now. It is staying so light here that I haven't been able to go to bed until 10

@MrsH: I agree on it being easier, plus I like looking at November's symptoms thread to reassure myself, so others will probably do that too!

My symptoms lessened this week (which made me freak out but after much googling found out that's normal) but my breasts are still tender (slightly less than last week), I'm really tired and taking naps after work and then still sleeping 8-9 hours a night, and had my first real food aversion today to trail mix, which made me nauseous to look at or think about eating that I had to hide it so I wouldn't see it, so weird. Other than that my cramps really decreased this week, my appetite kind of stabilized and I'm not starving all the time, and I'm sleeping through the night again, not waking up every few hours with back pain.

Sore boobs, thirsty, and little cramping.
I also caught a cold and can't really smell too much, but what I can through the stuffiness I know I won't like it.

Nothing sounds appetizing yet I'm starving. Very, very tired. Tight pants.
persimmon / 1331 posts
@mrsmate: yes, completely feel you on being so hungry but nothing is even appealing to eat!
My boobs started out tender this am and were sooooo sore as the day went on. When I was at home for good this evening the bra came off right away!
I just keep reminding myself these are good things because it means I'm pregnant :). My chiropractor recommended raspberry leaf tea and a local doula here makes it, so I'm picking some up tomorrow. It's supposed to increase circulation to the pelvic area and decrease miscarriage risk. I don't know if I believe it, but why not try it!
Haha, wow, I sound crunchy! I'm really not!! Haha

I've had ms since week 4 no actual throwing up but i've been feeling like i'm on the verge of throwing up constantly. I can tell i'm hungry but nothing sounds remotely appetising.
and so, so tired. i nap in the morning when lo does and wake up just as exhausted as i was when i went to sleep!
and of course, DH has a slight cold this week and has been constantly moaning about how bad he feels. omg

Hello nausea - I wondered when it was going to rear it's ugly head. Ugh:(
pomegranate / 3275 posts
@honeydew I have a cold too and I feel like that might have helped some with the morning sickness since I can't smell anything! I remember the super sonic smelling (as I called it with previous pregnancies) being the most annoying symptom, beyond my food aversions that lasted for-e-v-e-r.
I have to say in general, I'm not too tired (though more tired than normal), I'm not too nauseous (though more than normal) and that's about it. I have been freaking out that my symptoms aren't enough, but with my hormones level high for where they should be, I guess I should just count myself lucky.

So I had been having the nausea but starving problem, but yesterday, I had none at all, which made me nervous. I've also been having lots of twinges/pain/cramps, which I also didn't take as a good sign. But holy h*ll, are my boobs sore. I have had raw nipples for weeks, but these things just keep getting heavier and heavier. If anything gives me hope, it is this!
Also (and sorry if tmi), I am gassy and constipated already, even on a fiber regiment. Gross.

The only symptoms I've had so far is a crampy/pulling/pressure sensation in my lower abdomen. Thinking it's probably implantation.
persimmon / 1331 posts
@LovelyPlum: yes on the boobs! Omg, they almost feel warm to me, that's how sore and swollen they are!
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I felt that through my whole tww (thought it was gas) and still feeling it at 5 weeks. I tell myself the baby is just making room for itself
nectarine / 2636 posts
@Emsmems: yeah it's definitely weird! I'm sure this will be the first of many weird symptoms, haha.
kiwi / 568 posts
@mamabehr- same with me. My symptoms seem to be mild at best this week. I suppose that maybe I'll feel it in the upcoming weeks?
eggplant / 11408 posts
@Honeydew: My symptoms have definitely been more mild of late. I have a feeling that won't last, though.
@Emsmems: yeah. I broke down and bought lanolin nipple cream, too. I felt a tiny bit pathetic, not going to lie
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I'm so excited you're here!!!
nectarine / 2636 posts
@LovelyPlum: me too! I just wrote DH a looong to do list. Muahahaha.
pomegranate / 3275 posts
So I thought I was symptom-less, except for an occasional wave a nausea, well I fell asleep when I should have been awake today, twice. Luckily DS was napping for the first unexpected nap, and DD doesn't get into too much trouble. I can't afford to fall asleep randomly....
eggplant / 11408 posts
So, there are really only two things that sound appealing to me right now: toast with nutella and strawberries, and anything having to do with polenta. Without realizing it, I ate polenta for three straight days, just because that's what tastes good. Polenta is going to get me through this trimester, I can feel it. Good thing it's cheap
@MamaBehr: uh-oh, sounds like trouble...

Today is my first real day of symptoms. I am SO tired! I went for a walk this morning and didnt know if I would make it my usual route. I have been eating nothing but junk food. I feel like I could eat grilled cheese for every meal!
clementine / 957 posts
At 5w5d (est until my appt!) No real bad symptoms yet.. I've just remained consistently exhausted. My nausea hasn't been too bad except last night I couldn't get to sleep because I felt so blah! My fault though, I ate chili cheese fries haha. I do get a wave of nausea around 3pm every day which lasts for about an hour and is mostly just uncomfortable.
My nipples still feel like the fire of hades.. but breasts feel okay!
persimmon / 1331 posts
@wahine08: I LOL'd at nipples feeling like fire of hades! I feel the same!! Yowza! Sung to the tune of Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire": "the nips are on fiiirrrrrreee"
nectarine / 2636 posts
@Emsmems: Hahaha!
No nips on fire for me (yet). I'm actually pretty symptomless, other than being TIRED. It was like 9am and I was sitting on the couch, and telling DH how tired I am. I've been watching my nieces for the past few hours and my tiredness has been ok. Now that I have them in "Rest Time" the tiredness is coming back! I'm only 5 weeks(ish), so I think I'll get more and more symptoms as we go on.
ETA: How much water is everyone drinking per day? It's so so hard for me to drink water, so I'm trying to finish at least my 32 oz camelbak (which probably isn't enough) plus other drinks like sparkling water, OJ...
eggplant / 11408 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I am constantly parched! I drink a lot normally, usually eight to ten glasses, but I'm finding that I can polish my 32 ounce water bottle in one sitting now. I fill it up at least twice a day.
Is anyone feeling short of breath when they walk long distances? I usually run but have been walking lately. My sides ache so quickly!
nectarine / 2636 posts
@LovelyPlum: really? Constantly parched? I just struggle to finish my bottle of water. Usually I'm too busy doing other stuff and don't think about it. I just watched a show and finished my bottle off. Going to try to fill it up and drink that before bed.
cherry / 132 posts
@lovelyplum: totally feeling winded when I walk up hills or stairs. I am a runner too and have now just been walking. This is mostly due to the fact that even the slightest jog kills my boobs, but also because I'm getting short of breath so quickly.
honeydew / 7667 posts
I'm so tired. I have slept most of this weekend.
I'm also getting winded easily. What are you all doing for exercise? I think I'm going to add in some yoga this week.
pomegranate / 3275 posts
@MrsH I was coming on here to say the SAME thing! DH let me sleep in today until 8:15 (I normally get up at 6 or 6:30) AND I took a nap (unexpected, once again, for 45 minutes) AND it is only 7:30 and I'm ready to go to bed..... Man o man it is hard being pregnant hahaha
I'm also winded going up the stairs, and that wasn't happening before (I just ran a half marathon!)
I was doing a babybootcamp thing, but my doc said to take it easy until my next appointment. When I get the ok, I'll be going back to that. (except no more running)
DH also looked at me today and said "Wow, your boobs are huge!" hahaha too bad they are off limits!

Starting to have nausea more consistently... Seems to be in the evenings and for most of the night tonight. I am kind of afraid that its going to get worse...
Any tips that work for you guys with your nausea?
nectarine / 2163 posts
@creativemomma15: nothing seems to be working for me this time
last time i found ginger ale or sprite helped calm the stomach, and saltines helped when i was hungry but didn't want to eat anything
eggplant / 11408 posts
The nausea hasn't hit me full-force yet, but I am not feeling so hot if I don't eat all the time. Fruit and bread/crackers seem to work so far.
We went on a long walk today, and I got overheated/short of breathe towards the end of it. I've also been getting lightheaded and nauseous in the shower, even with the water temperature turned way down. So. annoying.
Is anyone else losing hair? I know pregnancy is supposed to make your hair look great, but honestly every time I wash my hair, clumps fall out.
persimmon / 1331 posts
@MrsH: yes on the tired and winded! I had to pee (for the umpteenth time) and went into the Whole Foods next to the store I was shopping in, walked all the way to the back, peed, walked all the way out to my car, and sat and had to catch my breath. I was exhausted!
Is anyone else having trouble sleeping? The last few nights I am so tired but wake up multiple times through the night. If I get up and pee it takes forever to go back to sleep (at 3 this am it took an hour to go back to sleep)! I used to sleep so hard, I don't get it!
nectarine / 2636 posts
No nausea for me yet or being winded! I'm still slightly tired, and my brain seems fuzzier. Still having that crampy feeling though. I kept rubbing my lower tummy to try and help it feel better, but I caught myself in church this morning and I hope no one noticed! Lol
cherry / 168 posts
@LovelyPlum: I noticed today I was losing a lot of hair in the shower, not sure if that's normal or not. And then also the food thing, I feel fine as long as I'm eating all the time, anytime I get the slightest bit hungry I start to feel sick.
cherry / 168 posts
@MrsH: I haven't been winded yet, tired definitely. I'm napping everyday when I get home from work and today I got almost 10 hours sleep last night and still took a half hour nap this afternoon. As far as exercise I'm walking or swimming, depending on how hot it is. I tried one of my yoga tapes and it actually made my cramping a little worse that day so I haven't tried it since.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: oh, the cramping. It is freaking me out! I keep expecting to see blood when I go to the bathroom, but nothing. I keep rubbing my stomach too...hope no one is watching!
cherry / 132 posts
@lovelyplum: I had really bad cramps on Saturday and was getting freaked, but I think it was just bad gas. TMI I know but is anyone experience a lot of gas like cramping? I'm also tired and experiencing the foggy head thing. Anyone having mood swings? I keep getting into these little arguments with DH, like I'm very touchy and quick to be annoyed.
