@Sugar.Biscuit: I totally felt the same thing yesterday! The pain was so bad it took my breath away and I almost lost my breakfast! Mine went away and I haven't had anything like it since. I was also checked for dilation yesterday and I'm not, so it didn't mean anything for me.

@MamaBehr: was that the first time you've been checked? When do they normally start checking? I haven't been check yet so I curious & want to be prepared.

  3. MamaBehr

    pomegranate / 3275 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: They only checked me because I said my BH contractions were strong and I felt like I was getting my period. With past pregnancies it was more around 36 weeks they started checking.

    How are you ladies feeling?

My biggest complaints in week 34 are sore hips & acid reflux. I'm feeling pretty ravenous this week as well.

@Vegmama: I'm at 32 weeks, just in the last day or two I've been getting nauseous again. Not as bad as first trimester, but I don't have much of an appetite and nothing sounds good. Ugh. I have had heartburn for awhile, Pepcid every night has helped me with that! A lot! How's everyone else doing?

I'm still feeling pretty good still. Sleeping has gotten better, so that helps. I think maybe I'm used to sleeping on my side now, so I'm not waking up as often.

It's getting harder and harder to get motivation to have adult time with DH, poor man. It's so much harder to move with the belly in the way! Lol. I was wearing yoga pants this morning and he took a longer-than-usual look at my butt, so I know he must be dying for some time with me, haha.

@abbydabbydoodlebug.... Wishing my DH would look at my butt a lot longer. I swear he doesn't want to touch me with a 10 foot pole because he doesn't want to traumatize the baby. In the meantime I sound like a horny teenager.

Well my blood pressure spiked It was 152/96 yesterday at my appointment. Luckily I was able to bring it down by laying on my left side and practicing some hypnobabies, but the midwife said if it's high again next time (in 3 weeks) I'll start weekly NSTs. I'm so disappointed If it stays high they'll induce me once I'm full term.

  9. Vegmama

    pear / 1799 posts

@Navy_Mommy: Thinking of you! How awesome that you were able to get it down ... Maybe you should practice relaxation before each appointment, and daily at home. Fingers crossed it was just a fluke.

  10. MamaBehr

    pomegranate / 3275 posts

@Navy_Mommy: Oh man, that is scary! I hope that it stays down. Are you shooting for a natural birth (like would induction be really stinky for you)?

I had my very first (and very early) mental breakdown about how over this pregnancy I am. I cried. I hurt, I can't sleep, I can't walk, I can't sit, I am either hungry or nauseous (no in between), and I'm only 34 weeks. WTH! I expected all these feelings, but not this early. I still have 5 weeks to go! ::cue tears:: ugh.

  11. Navy_Mommy

    nectarine / 2458 posts

@Vegmama: it was pretty much the same thing with my last pregnancy; as long as I'm upright my BP is high, when I lie down it goes down. The longer I'm pregnant the worse it gets (I was setting off alarms during my whole labor last time because my blood pressure was scary high).

@MamaBehr: I'm open to intervention if it's necessary but aim to have as few as possible. I don't want to be in a situation where ineedconstant monitoring again because that was the most uncomfortable part of being in the hospital for me last time. And in my experience one intervention tends to lead to another. Plus the idea of forcing the baby to be born before HE is ready to because my body isn't working properly makes me sad.

    Oh my goodness, y'all.

We are staying at the in laws and their bed isn't the most comfortable, so in the middle of the night I was stretching and got the most terrible cramp in my calf! Omg, it was so painful. I physically had to sit up and move my foot with my hand to get it to stop. It still hurts today.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I get those - I get out of bed and step on the foot to make it go away.

Okay so this post could go under several different threads so bear with me. This is how my day went. I saw the specialist today & all went well. The babies are doing good & my BP was high but not out outrageously high 150/90. I got really light headed & dizzy during the appointment (it was really hot in there) so I had to get an escort out of the building to my car.

Then I went and saw my regular OB for a yeast infection I got from the antibiotics they prescribed me from the sinus infection & pneumonia I got while in the hospital for my PreE. Had he told me to just take something OTC I would have just gone and bought something OTC but for some reason he wanted me to come in. It's not like he even did a vag check or anything.

While at the drive threw at Walgreens picking up my RX for headaches & vag cream there was a misunderstanding about my RX for the vag cream. So the lady had to discuss with me over the loud speaker what the misunderstanding was regarding my VAGINAL SUPPOSITORIES FOR MY YEAST INFECTION (caps were need cause it was THAT loud). The awkwardness was so thick between me and the gentlemen in the next drive. We both looked embarrassed.

Now to top things off after a long day of little bed rest due to appointments I have now started spotting. Its not much but it's there. So my question to you ladies is has anyone ever spotted during a yeast infection? I called my OB just to let him know & he said as long as the babies are moving & its minimal spotting I'm okay. It's probably just my body preparing to deliver. If I start bleeding & cramping like a period I'm probably in labor & need to go to the ER.

OMG. I'm really expecting this to not go well. It seems like every time I go to the Dr. something new comes up.

Cherry on top of the cake. The specialist is going on vacation the day after Christmas & my C-Section has been scheduled for January 2nd. If I make it to 36 weeks he will not be delivering my babies, his new partner will be. Whom I have not met & probably won't meet until the day I deliver...

    The End.

@Sugar.Biscuit: Oh mama! Sorry about the loud speaker. It made me giggle, but I'm sure it was mortifying!!

Thinking of you. Who knows ... maybe your Dr.'s partner is AWESOME! Fingers crossed!

Ugh. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow, and little one has decided that my pelvic bone makes a GREAT pillow. Talk about annoying!

Any tips to get her to move?

  18. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@AmandaB8: spending some time on all fours can help relive some of that pressure. Its a good thing that your little one is moving down. Your time will come soon!

  19. Emsmems

    persimmon / 1331 posts

@AmandaB8: I am 36w3d and I am feeling the same way!! I'm glad he's moving down, and it has significantly helped my heartburn, but dang it hurts! Just laying down when I can helps a little bit, but that's only when I'm at home, obviously.

Soon enough they will be here and we will have a whole new set of complaints! Trying to count my blessings (and be thankful for the sleep I am getting) while I feel sorry for myself! Haha

37 + 4 ... Baby has dropped, and I'm having lots of BH & period like cramps. Things are starting to change, and we're getting pretty excited!

    nectarine / 2063 posts

TMI: pretty sure I'm losing chunks of my mucus plug but between my yeast infection & the cream everything down there is a mess. But I'm pretty sure there was green mucus...that's gotta be it right?

  22. Emsmems

    persimmon / 1331 posts

    @Vegmama: yay! How exciting!!

    @Sugar.Biscuit: maybe? I don't know!!

  23. AmandaB8

    clementine / 849 posts

@Emsmems: Oh I totally agree! I know have to count my blessings as I've had a pretty easy pregnancy, and pretty sure this pelvic pain has been my biggest complaint. HAH! I'm just getting so anxious!

@vegmama and @sugar.biscuit yay!!! We're all moving right along!!

  24. Navy_Mommy

    nectarine / 2458 posts

    @Vegmama: very exciting!

Anyone else doing RRL or primrose oil? I'm up to three cups of mother to be tea a day, and I've started Christopher's Birth Prep (1 a day this week). I'll start primrose oil at 37 weeks.

@Navy_Mommy: We made tea ... Hope I'm allowed to share the link: http://theoregontale.com/our-natural-pregnancy-pregnancy-tea/ The recipe is on my blog. It's amazing, and works ... I can tell my uterus is toning up.

  26. abbydabbydoodlebug

    nectarine / 2636 posts

I've heard of those, but what do you drink them for?

  27. lil owl

    apricot / 345 posts

In preparation for birth my midwife makes me drink raspberry leaf tea and do a perineal massage every other day. She will start acupuncture to prepare for birth next week.
I'm still feeling the hyperemesis and am weaker as women with a “normal” pregnancy. So she believes all this will help me to prepare my body and experience an “easier” birth...

  28. Navy_Mommy

    nectarine / 2458 posts

@abbydabbydoodlebug: red raspberry leaf is meant to tone your uterus to help make labor easier. Primrose helps soften your cervix.

  29. Navy_Mommy

    nectarine / 2458 posts

@Vegmama: the tea I have is definitely doing something. If my son happens to be nursing while I'm drinking it I actually get labor-like contractions (versus just Braxton Hicks). It's crazy. And I'm only 35 weeks!

  30. MamaBehr

    pomegranate / 3275 posts

I have stopped all efforts to get this baby out early, my husband broke his leg in two places last weekend rendering him completely useless. I was doing EPO, red raspberry leaf tea, and dates. Now I almost wish that the baby could stay in forever, or at least until he can get up and down the stairs to help with our other two. Needless to say, it has been a little stressful here.

  31. Navy_Mommy

    nectarine / 2458 posts

@MamaBehr: I keep forgetting to get dates!! I'm sorry things have been stressful

  32. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

Ever since we set our date for the c-section I've been sleeping like crap. These last two nights have been the worst! Everyone keeps talking about/wanting us to have Christmas babies so now every time I wake up I think I'm going to go into labor or something.

  33. abbydabbydoodlebug

    nectarine / 2636 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: Aww, I hope you're able to get some rest!

I was on my feet in crappy shoes for way too long yesterday and my feet and ankles got so swollen. And we didn't go to bed until 2am because of the christmas eve party at my in laws. Woke up at 730 and they re still swollen. Ugh. I'm propping them up on the headboard to try to get them to go down. Gonna be a long day.

  34. Navy_Mommy

    nectarine / 2458 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: my midwife prescribed me Benadryl to help me sleep. On the nights I'm struggling to sleep it's a life saver. I need to enjoy my sleep before I'm doing multiple night feeds and diaper changes every night, lol. (It's just 50 mg of plain old Benadryl)

  35. Emsmems

    persimmon / 1331 posts

@MamaBehr: oh no!! I'm sorry, that totally sucks! Talk about bad timing (not that you can plan or want to break your leg). Hope things get better soon!

@Sugar.Biscuit: ugh! The other night I had a dream all night I was in labor. It was a bad night of sleep! I've been taking 1/2 a Unisom to help me sleep lately, it helps most of the time.

  36. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@abbydabbydoodlebug: keep an eye on your swelling. My D. Kept telling me that swelling doesn't indicate pre e but I swelled up HUGE right before being diagnosed. Hopefully its just from having a big day.

@Navy_Mommy: @Emsmems: thanks ladies. I see my dr tomorrow so I may bring it up. I just hate adding anything else to my list of meds already.

  37. abbydabbydoodlebug

    nectarine / 2636 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: yeah that's definitely a concern of mine, so I'm keeping an eye on them. They didn't get gigantic, but just noticeably swollen. It goes down some when I elevate my feet above my heart, but I just didn't have any time to do that today with coming back from the in laws and going to my parents house. Busy busy busy. The good news is that I have the next few days at home with my hubby so I'll get plenty of time to prop them up. I have Epsom salt soak too, so I might do that a couple times tomorrow too and see if that helps.

I didn't wake up once last night to pee! It was a Christmas miracle, lol.

Anyone having any signs that labor is near? I'm not even sure I've had a BH yet
