@Vegmama: @Sugar.Biscuit: I hope your husbands appreciate it, because I don't care anymore. I'm not even trying. I am shaving my legs, but that will stop eventually. The only thing I shave my whole pregnancy is my armpits because the belly doesn't get in the way of those!
@Lindsay05: I hear ya on the chasing LOs around all day. Luckily when my husband gets home he does the majority of the work, because my 19 month old is EVERYWHERE. And, my little guy will be born 12 weeks from yesterday! (c-section) That's super real! Then, as we know, the real fun begins hahaha

@Lindsay05: I'm a little jealous that you are already in the third trimester. I've got just over 3 weeks to go before I get there. As for the bowling ball feeling it is definitely there! Bending over to put on my shoes just became a whole lot harder lol
pomegranate / 3759 posts
@MamaBehr: Oh yes, the fun. I am freakin out!
@Sugar.Biscuit: Soon enough!!Yes, shoes are the worst. I hate when I have dropsy days and I have to bend over ALL THE TIME!

You guys!!! My acid reflux (or heartburn??) has been really bad this week. Papaya Enzymes & Tums aren't really helping. Anyone have any other ideas? Also, I know I'm totally doing this to myself: I just had veggie enchiladas for lunch, and red beans & rice for lunch yesterday. Even water, milk, toast makes it terrible!
persimmon / 1331 posts
@Vegmama: yes! Mine has been bad off and on for the last month. I take a normal strength (10mg) Pepcid when I feel it coming on and that has helped a lot.
kiwi / 568 posts
@vegmama my heartburn has been out of control. I had to get a supersized bottle of tums because of it.
I think eating really small portions help. And the days I don't have a decaf coffee are better for my stomach.
nectarine / 2063 posts
@Vegmama: I have to have prilosec otc everyday otherwise my acid reflux is debilitating! So far it has been under control most of this pregnancy. Its not fun I can sympathise.
honeydew / 7667 posts
@Vegmama: I have been on two extra strength Zantac for about twenty weeks now. Some days I still have to take tums.
clementine / 957 posts
@Vegmama: Oh man I'm sorry!! It seems like most of the mamas are experiencing this too. I have had bouts of really bad regular indigestion but no burning heartburn yet. Although I do have to say I do it to myself because I overeat and I seriously feel like I'm taking 2 days to digest a meal!
Also, I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is braxton hicks but the past 2 days I've had on and off cramps that kind of remind me of a period cramp and kind of like a "I need to go to the bathroom" cramp.. not sure what it is but going to the bathroom does nothing haha. My stomach does feel a little tighter but it's kind of tight all the time now... and they last for a couple min then go away.
Any ideas??

@wahine08: I was just talking to my midwife about cramps & BH yesterday. She said that I should be able to feel Braxton Hicks, but they should not hurt at all.
Anything that feels like a period cramp could indicate that I need to relax or drink lots & lots of water. She said any kind of cramps at this stage should be irregular, and if there are more than 4 per hour, it's time for the ER to get checked.
BH are a good sign that your uterus is getting ready & toning for labor!!
pomegranate / 3275 posts
@wahine08: That would make me nervous and make me call the doctor. Braxton Hicks don't hurt, it just feels like the belly gets tight. I notice them more when they are over.

Holy nesting! This weekend DH is painting the nursery, I am DYING to get in there and start putting the nursery together. Obviously I can't while he is painting, so instead, I cleaned the entire kitchen, including taking out all the shelves in the fridge and cleaning them! I don't know if this will come and go in waves or if I will just be crazy the next 13 weeks?! I just feel like I should clean as much as I can while I can, since when baby comes I don't anticipate cleaning for quite awhile!!
Anyway... Happy third trimester!!

Hi ladies!! I LOVE keeping up with how you're all doing. Do you think you'd be up for sharing your bumps? Now that we're all well into bump land?!
Here's mine from 30 weeks:
Honestly, I thought I'd be way bigger by now, but between this photo (Saturday) and today, I feel like I've grown inches!!
How's everyone feeling?!?
clementine / 957 posts
@Vegmama: Cute pic and bump!! Mine is about the same size and I thought I'd be bigger at this point, too! 29 weeks yesterday
I'm experiencing some weird round ligament pain although I'm thinking it's closer to pelvic girdle pain? It's right in the front of my pubic bone and it really does feel like it's in the bone. Not a crampy or muscle pain at all.
Ah, the glory of growing! OB nurse said its round ligament but I don't think so since it's really up and front on the bone!
pear / 1799 posts
@wahine08: ME TOO!!! Oh, that pain really sucks. I notice it most when I'm turning over at night, or standing up after sitting. I see my midwife tomorrow and hope to get some advice about it. Sorry you have that pain, but I'm glad to know I'm not alone!!

I am plum exhausted these last few days & hardly have enough energy to get through work. The babies have been very active & I have sharp stretching feeling at the bottom of my uterus from them kicking & stretching out. DH wants me to quit my job early because I have so much to do, I'm always so tired, & never have time to relax. (Hello! Some help would be nice!) Anyways. Here is my lates bump picture for thw non gold members. I'm 27 weeks today!

I'm loving the bump pics ladies! Starting to ache a lot especially my back. Tying shoes have become an interesting adventure. And I certainly hope my kid has a fulllllll head of hair, because my heartburn is ridic. Water gives me heartburn!
Here's my bump at 29weeks and a day.

@Sugar.Biscuit: @Honeydew: Thanks for sharing your bump pics!! I need to get gold haha.

You all look so CUTE!!! I have this huge bump that doesn't look cute at all. I'm already starting to get "you're due in January?!! Wow." which is super offensive, but oh well.
nectarine / 2063 posts
@MamaBehr: I get that all the time! It usually is accompanied with a look of terror followed by "oh you'll be okay twins always go early." p.s your bump is gorgeous!
clementine / 849 posts
@MamaBehr: I totally feel you on that one. My bump is huge, and I've been showing since I was like 13 weeks.
I can totally feel BH, but they're just uncomfortable. I feel the tightening (it's like I'm flexing my abs, but have no control over it). And it's definitely higher up. Doc says that's perfectly fine, so whatevs!
persimmon / 1331 posts
@Honeydew: I could've said everything you did. Especially the heartburn! Yikes! It is terrible!!
Everyone looks so good! I need to take a recent bump pic, I've been slacking!
nectarine / 2636 posts
I haven't taken a bump picture in forever! I should get on that this weekend since I'll be officially in the 3rd trimester.
I haven't had much symptoms at all other than her moving a bunch. And I've been hungry like every 2-3 hours, lol.
pomegranate / 3759 posts
@MamaBehr: I am getting this on a daily basis it is offensive! You dont have to tell me how much longer I have, my crotch, back and hips tell me all the time!

Hi Ladies haven't written in a while, but wanted to let you know that your bumps look so cute and I too thought I would be bigger at 29 weeks. I have my baby shower on Sunday and do not look forward to all of the your so small comments. Oh well its either your too small or too big. No one ever says you look just right for 29 weeks. I think when it comes to looks you should just tell me l look great and leave it at that.

Anyone else having trouble sleeping? For the past week or so, I've been waking up a lot! Like every 2 hours, sometimes every hour. I'm not sure why I'm waking up but I do turn over to my other side each time. Maybe it's because I'm uncomfortable? I haven't gotten a body pillow or anything. Should I? I'm unsure how to get myself to sleep longer stretches. Or is this just something I'll have to suck it up and deal with it?
pomegranate / 3275 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I'm sleeping so badly, it is ridiculous. I get up every 2 hours or more as well It has gotten a lot worse this last week. I have a HUGE pregnancy sleeping pillow, which was awesome with my last pregnancy, but I feel like it deflated or something and isn't working as well. I think you might want to look into some sort of pillow, that does help. Especially with your hips, so you can put a pillow between your legs. I distinctly remember this with my first pregnancy, and it started around 30 weeks, and got a little better by the end, but not much. I also have been having insomnia. Two weekends ago I was wide awake from midnight until 5 am, for no reason, it was rough.
PS did you pass the three hour test?!?
nectarine / 2636 posts
@MamaBehr: Hmm, yeah I think I'll need to get a pillow for my hips. Would a regular body pillow work, as long as it's pretty firm/thick? Or do I need to invest in a specific pregnancy pillow? We have a queen, so there's not a whole lot of extra space on the bed.
Haven't heard about my 3 hour test yet! I don't think I'll hear today... if I DO hear from them, it'll probably be tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm going to eat the rest of my homemade banana bread.
clementine / 957 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I'm having difficulty sleeping too! I have a cheap target body pillow and it does help (I notice the difference when I don't use it) but it's just trying to switch sides becomes a whole ordeal and I have acheyness along my sides that just wakes me up! I have a hard time falling back asleep.
I couldn't justify the $60 prego pillows, even though DH said I could get one.. I think now that I feel like I need it, it's too late in the game haha.
honeydew / 7667 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I'm having horrible insomnia. I sleep fine for a couple of hours and then I'm awake and can't get back to sleep.
I've just been using a regular body pillow sometimes it helps if I tuck it between my knees and curl my legs a bit.
pomegranate / 3275 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: Ok, I have kind of had a lot of pregnancy pillows.... don't judge hahaha For my first pregnancy I had this one, which could work in a Queen: http://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Snoogle-Total-Body-Pillow/dp/B0000635WI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383684250&sr=8-1&keywords=pregnancy+pillows+and+maternity+body+pillows
For my second pregnancy I got this pillow: http://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Belly-Contoured-Pillow-Ivory/dp/B0002E7DIQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1383684350&sr=8-2&keywords=pregnancy+pillows+and+maternity+body+pillows
It takes up a LOT more room, we have a King and it fits well. If you intend to have another baby, I think that a good pregnancy pillow is worth it and you will use it again
nectarine / 2636 posts
@MamaBehr: Thanks! That second one looks ginormous! Lol. I think the first one could work in our bed. I'm going to see what Bed, Bath, & Beyond has as far as body pillows go, since I have a coupon for it. But if they don't have any decent ones, I'll probably go with the one you recommended.
persimmon / 1331 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I also didn't want to spend money on a pregnancy pillow, so I bought a regular body pillow. There are ones at Bed Bath and Beyond that are better and firmer than the ones I saw at Target. It has worked for me! I still wake up every couple hours to turn to the other side because the hip I'm laying on hurts!! I think I've just getting used to it though, I fall asleep pretty quickly now after I turn over for the most part!
nectarine / 2636 posts
@Emsmems: I haven't gotten my pillow yet, but I have been able to get a good 3-4 hours in the first part of the night before I wake up to turn over. My hips have been bothering me too. Whichever side I'm laying on gets stiff and sore, which is why I think I'm waking up.
I'm not sure if this goes in Symptoms or not, but I'm totally addicted to stalking my registry! Haha. Someone bought our PNP last night.
nectarine / 2063 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: as soon as someone other than my mother bought something off our registry I was glued to it! It's been over a week an no one else has bought anything and my shower is in 10 days! It's driving me crazy!!!
cherry / 168 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I bought a regular body pillow and it works fine. I didn't want something that takes over the whole bed, the body pillow is big enough. I do wake up every few hours to switch sides because my one hip will start burning.
@Sugar.Biscuit: As soon as the first thing was off our registry I couldn't stop looking at it. I've had one shower so far and we got mostly clothes. I'm having another shower Friday and then one Sunday and another the Sunday after. Nothing has moved off our registry in a couple weeks.

Ok. I'm at a loss. I keep feeling like my period is coming. This feeling normally only comes at night, but now I'm getting that feeling in the morning too. Please tell me someone else is getting this feeling as well? My Braxton Hicks are pretty regular and I get many during the day, but that doesn't worry me because I got so many with my son. Anyone else feeling this? I go to the doc tomorrow, and will TOTALLY bring it up, but I'm hoping this is normal and not bad news. I don't mind him coming in December, but not before Thanksgiving!!!
pear / 1799 posts
@MamaBehr: Over the weekend, I told my husband, I felt "periody" ... It wasn't really cramping as much as just odd pressure or fullness. I haven't been having BH this week, but I am definitely going to ask my midwife next week. I, too, am curious if this is normal!! Good luck, mama!
nectarine / 2063 posts
BH in my upper/mid back? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure that's what it is but the pain comes and goes & sometimes I'll get nauseous with it. I haven't been able to time anything cause it usually hangs around for a little while then is gone. Longer than what I would think a BH would last, like several min. Its so hard to tell if that means anything cause it's not in a typical area!
