@babypugs: Haha yes I feel like I've tried everything for sleeping and NOTHING is working except the wrong stuff!
@Smurfette: 2 ozs isn't bad! It'll keep getting easier!
Just got done with her appt. Little peanut is only 10% for height and weight! 9 lbs 4 ozs and 21.5 inches. We are starting Zantac as well after I described some things to the doctor. Hoping it helps her sleeping and being able to take in more volume in one feeding rather than short, frequent feedings. Poor baby screamed so hard during her shots. I need to go pick up infant Tylenol.

Back of her head. Hahaha so gross. Bald spot, rat tail. Good thing her cute face is distracting!!

B just had an awesome crib nap. DH and DD1 back to work/school today. Had a neighbour friend with a same age as my DS, so he had a good play this am.
We need groceries and I so do not want to go!!

@sunnyday: I have to grocery shop too! I don't want to at all. I'm waiting on DD to wake up and eat again before I go.
Speaking of which, how long can I expect her to be sleepy/uncomfortable after shots? She's already been sleeping over an hour in her car seat!

@IRunForFun: I saw your other post.... I hope the meds will help! If so her sleep would get a lot better too!

@sunnyday: Haha that is too cute!
I have a horrible habit of picking off her dried scalp/cradle cap when she's asleep!

@IRunForFun: @snowjewelz: Baby sleep. I just give up trying to understand.
@IRunForFun: Aw, little bitty! Both my daughters were out of sorts for 2 days after the shots.
@sunnyday: Haha, I think her head is cute!
persimmon / 1101 posts
@snowjewelz: My ped suggested Selsun Blue for the cradle cap-- It's helped a lot!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@babypugs: But I really like picking it off myself... Hahaha! It's not that bad; so far coconut oil does the trick! I just can't help myself but to pick her head lol.

@snowjewelz: Oh, I'm a picker too! Almost worth a sunburn to peel the skin lol

@sunnyday: LO has rubbed a bald spot too!
@IRunForFun: I went ahead and gave Tylenol a couple hours after her shots when she woke up. Then did again before bed. Luckily she didn't get a fever.

@IRunForFun: I ended up going after picking up DD1 from school and before gymnastics. That only gave me like 40 mins max to do it, so we went. Ended up holding B whole time, forgot carrier and I wish my kids liked bucket seats, argh!!
B is balding on the sides too, we did a wee haircut this aft!!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: LO doesn't have a fever, I just checked, but she's pretty fussy so I think I'll do Tylenol before we go to bed.
So many indignities for her today! Shots, nasty tasting Zantac, rectal temp...
@sunnyday: I went and luckily DD slept in her car seat in the cart the whole time but man I couldn't fit much in the cart with her in there!!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@IRunForFun: I would. I think they are just sore. I remember LO 1yr shots. Got them in the am, took her to school, when I picked her the poor girl was in pain from walking all day. That night she just cried if we touched her legs.
@sunnyday: aww! First hair cut already!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: Poor babies! I feel awful, I set her down to go change over laundry and get my PJs on before I nursed her, and she cried herself to sleep.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@IRunForFun: aww poor girl! I hope the Zantac helps. I think it has helped my LO.
The most I got LO to eat was 3.5ozs, twice, the rest of the day it was 3ozs. I hope it gets easier. The formula smells so bad, so she is going to have to get used to it. I just hope this experiment helps us figure out what is wrong with her diet(aka have normal poops) and gain some weight.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: Which formula is it? When we gave LO title it was Nutramigen and yeah it smelled awful!!!

@IRunForFun: the worst is I load the cart items around the bucket in there (with her in my arms) and I make it work, but once it's bagged.....I'm screwed! Haha, and I always forget. Any ther reason I can't wait to be done with bucket days! My other two were out by 4 and 3 months.
@Smurfette: omg their legs after needles. The worst, we have definitely touched them at say bath or bedtime and you can tell they are so tender and sore!!
Just did bathtime, DH doing dishes and dog bedtime walk. She spit up on two post bath sleepers! She's way over tired and nursing to sleep as we speak, lol.

I am pretty sure DD didn't swallow any of the Tylenol. She held it in her mouth, I thought I heard her swallow but she let it all dribble out, then I tried getting her to swallow and she gagged. Eh. Hope she sleeps!

B woke up with a cold this am, stuffy nose, sounds terrible, poor soul.
I swaddled her arms in last night (we usually do arms out as she fights it so much) and she slept 9pm to 4am!!!! Maybe coincidence (or the cold, too). I was up at midnight anticipating her, what a treat that was!!! I had to pump before I nursed her this morning though, it wouldn't have been fun for her. My two olders saw me use the pump for the first time.....that was fun answering questions!!
DS has a cold too, his one eye was goop stuck shut this am. He had surgery at 19m to open one eyes clogged tear duct, and the one that was shut was the non-operated one, reminding me we need to get it done From 3w to 19m he had goopy eyes in both eyes, the other one is fine now when he's not sick, but it's gross gross gross when he's stuffed up.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@sunnyday: What a treat! I wouldn't know what to do with myself, lol! I'm sure the boobs were about to explode haha! And I hope the littles feel better! I am so so so over with flu season!
@IRunForFun: Aww, I hope she slept ok! I got the best sleep from her on shot day... Is it bad to say that I'm looking forward to more shots?! Did you decide to start her on Zantac yet? I saw so many positive stories on the other thread!
@Smurfette: 3-3.5 oz is not bad! Even with breastmilk mine ate 3 oz only a few times!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@babypugs: I tried that this morning and she still spit it all back out! Gah! I think I got a little in her by shoving a pacifier in her mouth immediately after the Tylenol.
@sunnyday: Awww sorry about the colds, hope they pass quickly! Yay for an awesome stretch of sleep though!
@snowjewelz: I swear DD does the opposite of every other baby. She slept like crap last night! Up almost every hour. At one point she'd only settle on my chest. I think part of it was that she was trying to poop, too, and couldn't. She finally had a huuuge blowout this morning.
We did start her on the Zantac. She had her first dose last night and second this morning, so we will see what happens after a week or so.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@IRunForFun: Try squirting very little into her back cheek?
@IRunForFun: Haha oh I know those pooplosions! I really hope the meds make a difference! Whether it's zantac or something else

I took LO to the pedi . She gained 6ozs, which is an oz a day, which is what the pedi wants. Since LO isn't eating much, and a battle to get her to eat, I am going back to nursing. I realized I have been eating dairy even though I thought I wasn't. So I am going to be better about researching and reading labels. Then going back in three weeks for a weight check and check in.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: Good news on the weight gain! Do you mind sharing what you've been eating you thought was dairy free but wasn't? I'm wondering if I've accidentally been eating dairy because DD is still having some green and mucousy poops.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@IRunForFun: frozen waffles, Chick fila nuggets, are the ones I have found so far. I am sure more at restaurants on the weekends.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: Eek just ate a frozen waffle earlier...better check the box...

@sunnyday: oh the question I have answered about pumping... it is cute though that they're so interested
@IRunForFun: hope things will get easier for you soon. I had some issues with mucous stools with J1 and it was citrus that caused it. It's so stressful to identify the triggers!
@Smurfette: glad weight gain is on track!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: Van's frozen waffles appear to be dairy free if you're looking for a new brand!!
@Pumuckl: Interesting! The pedi did say as long as she doesn't seem bothered green and mucous every once in a while is fine. I don't know how to tell if she's bothered or generally fussy though!
Ugh DD has been sleeping for almost 5 hours, only waking up once to eat. I'm so screwed tonight. About to wake her to eat again.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@IRunForFun: thanks! Will look. I ate frozen garlic bread on Friday, damn it if it doesn't have dairy to. No wonder she wasn't getting better
pomelo / 5509 posts
OMG DD just projectile vomited exorcist style. It just kept coming! It looked like an entire day's worth of milk. So scary. No idea what the heck caused that.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@IRunForFun: we had that a couple times. So nasty, came out of nowhere, and she was fine after. Last time I was sitting in bed, her back was on my legs facing me, so I got covered.

@IRunForFun: Hope sleep was okay. I thought I was screwed after a nap from 1:30 to 6:30, and then took until 11 to get her to sleep for the night. However, she slept until 5, got her down at 6, and up for the day at 7:30.

@IRunForFun: oh poor thing!! B hasn't done it (yet!!) but my other two definitely did a time or two!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: Yeah afterward she was smiling st me. So strange! She had another pretty big spit up MOTN but not as bad.
@Mrs. Toad: Wow nice sleep! Ours wasn't as good. Got her down at 10, she did a 3 hour stretch and a 2 hour stretch and then took over an hour to go back down and was up every hour after.
@sunnyday: Yeah I was freaked but everyone assured me it just happens sometimes!
