@IRunForFun: yes. It was gorgeous outside. 75 was the high. Sorry about the bottle, hopefully she gets used to them again.
@babypugs: we just took 75 down. It didn't take that much longer. We should meet up at the zoo sometime. I forget where you are(I'll message you what city we are in) we might have told LO1 that the playground was closed for repairs so we could leave and go eat lunch. I love having a pass so we can go for like 1.5hr and leave if we want.
Bottle boot camp! We had to do that with LO1. The weekend before she started day care if it was the hours she would be in day care, she got a bottle. It took an hour a couple times but she finally got it.
@Pumuckl: seriously they are so weird

Has anyone tried working out yet? I've been doing a lot of walking but was hoping to tone up a bit. I don't know if you've heard of blogilates but I have a friend who raved at about her piit28 programs so I bought it to do postpartum. Tried day 1 of the program today and it was a total fail. I don't know if it's because my core is still weak from carrying a baby or if the program is just too hard? I'm going to try to do some of the beginner videos first to see if I can work my way up. Super discouraging though 🙁

Well it is 1, I heard her so I look at the monitor and she was wide awake

The whole was just awful. She seemed uncomfortable but no clue why. Also think she might have slept too much during the day.

@Smurfette: Poor baby. Hate those nights.

I did an early bedtime with a dream feed last night and it went great! I felt soooo naked not having a baby in my arms from 7:30 to 10:30.

ETA also wound up waking in the middle of the night with a super painful clogged duct. Boooo

@Peasinapod: My sister did PIIT and had awesome results, but she'd been doing combinations of Blogilates videos for months first. I really want to start running and working out again but I haven't figured out when to do it and don't have the energy!!

@Smurfette: Oh poor baby and poor you. Maybe it's still just an adjustment going between daycare days and weekends?

@babypugs: Nice on the dream feed working!! Curious how does a dream feed work? Boo on the plugged duct. Have you been able to work it out?

DD had an awful afternoon/evening yesterday, she was screaming like she was in distress anytime she wasn't eating or being walked and juggled. Not sure what was wrong. But she went in the crib at 7 and slept until 12:15 and then slept in the crib again from 1 to 4:40. After that she took almost 30 mins to resettle and only slept 90 mins, ate and back to sleep for an hour. But DH took the monitor at 5:30 and gave her a bottle when she woke...I slept till 10:20!! 🙌 She's fussy this morning but hoping it's not like last night.

Decided to try bikini body mommy session 5. She starts it 2 weeks after giving birth. Makes it feel more achievable right now. I'll work my way up to blogilates .

@IRunForFun: Basically, when you're ready to go to bed, just scoop LO up and feed her with her as drowsy as possible. It helps extend the "long stretch" into the time you're sleeping. And nope, I think I've gone the wrong way into mastitis-- high fever, body aches, etc. Ugh, thank goodness that I still have some of the 800 mg ibuprofen from delivery.

@Peasinapod: Go you! I want to work out but have no idea how to fit it into the workday.

  10. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@babypugs: I'm with you. I have no clue how to fit working out in. I already am up at 530.

  11. Peasinapod

    clementine / 770 posts

@babypugs: @Smurfette: I definitely wouldn't be able to fit this in if I was back at work. Even being on maternity leave it's hard to find the 30 min. We'll see if I can stick to it.

@babypugs: Oh no!! Will you be getting antibiotics??

I'm tempted to try a dream feed but I'm nervous it would backfire with DD. Typically she's either super pissed if she gets woken up and then takes forever to go back down or if I try to latch her while she's sleeping she just holds the nipple in her mouth and doesn't suck, lol.

  13. babypugs

    persimmon / 1101 posts

@IRunForFun: Hey, anything is worth trying once! I feel like I have a really bad case of the flu and my whole boob is lobster red, shiny, and hard, so I'll be calling first thing for antibiotics.

@babypugs: I hope you feel better soon!

Both girls were asleep by 8 last night. It was amazing!! I was out by 930. Baby woke up at 3:30 and then one more time for her paci. Glad we didn't have a repeat of Sat night. I can deal with one wake up to nurse. I wish that there was something to do to stop the spit up. She was on outfit 2 before we left the house.

@babypugs: I might have to try it!

@Smurfette: Glad last night went better!

Our semi-decent sleep streak came to an end last night. She did 4 hours in the crib to start, nursed her, then she did 2 hours and nursed again. After that wake up I put her back in the crib but she just wiggled all around for 20+ minutes so I brought her into bed at 3. She never really settled the rest of the night, wiggly and grunty and awake every 30 to 60 mins. Drove me nuts!!!

She's also been SO cranky since Saturday. Makes me wonder about a growth spurt or headed into the 12 week leap early...

@IRunForFun: We are in a leap and girlfriend was so fussy all weekend. Especially yesterday. Hopefully your night will be better tonight!

@Smurfette: Aww, can a bib catch some of it or she likes to projectile it?

@IRunForFun: With these babies it's always something! I give up trying to make sense of anything. K2's sleep isn't great, but it also isn't bad, so I just keep chugging along! I've tried to dream feed before I think... But I don't think my girls sleep longer b/c their tummies are fuller.

@babypugs: Ugh, feel better! It's the worst when you're baby free but can't even enjoy the sleep/alone time!

@Peasinapod: You are brave! I will be cheering you on!! I really do need to loose some weight but it's def not in my radar for now.

  18. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@snowjewelz: Oh I have a burp cloth right under her chin, but it is so much it still gets on her clothes.

  19. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Smurfette: Sometimes I just wipe it up as much as I can and leave the clothes on, lol!

We're officially in leap 4 (I use her bday since it's been more accurate). I don't think she wakes more... But sometimes she sucks for much longer. I need to remember to bring the paci up and try to give that to her instead.

  20. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@snowjewelz: I will too if it is a little. But the whole front of the onesie was wet. I made sure to add a bib once I changed her so hopefully day care doesn't have to change her to.

  21. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

@Smurfette: I had to change DD once and my shirt too so far today because of spit up.

@snowjewelz: Are you supposed to use the due date for leaps instead of birth date? Not that it would matter much for us since she only came 3 days befor her due date.

Man she's been soooo fussy. Just crying/shrieking most of the time she isn't eating or sleeping. I finally brought her into bed to try to get her to nap and it took a while but she's been sleeping more than an hour. I should try to nap too but I can't get comfortable - starving and have to pee but afraid to move!

  22. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@IRunForFun: Yes.. Supposed to be due dates but for both girls so far I've found birthdays to be more accurate

S has been having a rough day. I think at almost 11 weeks she might be craving more of a schedule but I just can't manage it with the toddler.

Got through a little over half of day 2 of bikini body and S had a freak out. Have to try again when my husband can hold her 🙁

@babypugs: eek hope you feel better soon. I hate clogged ducts but luckily I don't think it's ever developed into a mastitis.

  25. Peasinapod

    clementine / 770 posts

@snowjewelz: @snowjewelz: @IRunForFun: S spits up quite a bit. I should use bibs! My first never really spit up so I didn't even think of it.

  26. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

Good news, she slept till 450. Bad news, I have to wash my hair so I'm just laying in bed waiting for my alarm at 530. 450 is way to early to start the day! 530 is hard enough.

  27. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Smurfette: So great to STTN! Ugh, I had a nightmare and was up at 5am just laying there staring at her....

I *think* she wakes twice to nurse overnight, I'm not sure b/c I don't look at the clock/my phone... I just shove a boob in and we fall back asleep!

  28. babypugs

    persimmon / 1101 posts

@Peasinapod: I'm part of the spit up crew too! I'm awful, I usually just wipe it off and don't bother changing her unless it's a ton.

@Smurfette: Nice sleep, but laying there awake is so frustrating!

  29. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@babypugs: I didn't even try and go back to sleep. Wasn't worth it. I just laid there in the dark playing on my phone.

  30. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

@Smurfette: Ugh I hate laying there awake!! @snowjewelz: I haven't been able to fall asleep side lying nursing yet. I still kinda have to hold my boob in her mouth.

    @babypugs: How are you feeling?

We've gone way backwards in the sleep department. DD's longest stretch last night was 2.5 hours. 😢 She was up 5x between 8 and 8. I feel like I'm going insane!

  31. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@IRunForFun: I hold it for a while then let go once she's not actively eating anymore

    @IRunForFun: Oh no!

  32. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@IRunForFun: I have to hold my boob in her mouth. And I only nurse her sitting up. I have never even tried it laying down.
I'm sorry! Hopefully it was just a fluke night and tonight is better.

  33. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

@Smurfette: I'm really wanting to blame it on a growth spurt or something. She's been nursing like a fiend. She cluster fed before bed last night for the first time in a while and then wanted to eat every 2 hours overnight. Crazy!

  34. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

Oh and we are in the spit up club too but somehow I didn't think of bibs either. I usually don't change her unless it's a lot. Just now she was playing on her playmat and spit up quite a bit and it ran down the side of her face and under the back of her head and then she rubbed her head back and forth in it so it's all in her hair. So gross! 🤢

  35. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@IRunForFun: yeah LO's hair was a little crusty last night. I have a feeling the same thing happened at day care yesterday. At least now we can use the bandana bibs that are way cuter!

@IRunForFun: Better! Duct is still clogged and painful, but the flu-like symptoms are almost gone. Antibiotics FTW!

    @babypugs: Yay so glad!

@Smurfette: I've been meaning to mention this, I was eating the chocolate cream Oreos assuming all versions were dairy free but then it occurred to me to check the ingredients and it seems like the chocolate ones may have dairy. I stopped eating them about a week ago and her diapers are slowly looking better. Oops!!

  39. snowjewelz

@IRunForFun: my god, what is diary not in?! DH won't believe fries have diary in it when I told him!

@snowjewelz: Fries contain dairy? That's crazy!

@IRunForFun: Glad that her poops and hopefully her stomach are getting better!
