@crazydoglady: okay, I'll go first.
Location: Seattle, WA
EDD: January 13th, but that'll probably shift by a week after the first ultrasound
How far along: 4 weeks
First child? Nope. This will be Baby 3 (stick, little bean, stick!). I have two DDs; my oldest is 4 and my youngest is 18m.
First doctor appointment: June 5th
Any symptoms so far? Emotional, some slight cramping, and sore breasts. Very typical pregnancy symptoms for me.
Who have you told? No one. I just found out this morning, and I haven't told my husband yet. We were planning on having more kids, but in, like, 6 months or so, so this is all kind of a surprise. I'm mostly in shock right now. I am happy and this baby is very much loved and wanted, but I'm still a little shocked.

Any symptoms so far? Super sore breasts, cramps on and off, and a sour stomach.
Who have you told? My parents, DH, and my best friend.

Who have you told? Hubby, a few fellow IVF-ers.
clementine / 973 posts
@jaguar: welcome! I totally understand the tentatively part. I’m having a lot of cramping too. It’s super mild, but pretty consistent. I don’t remember it with my losses, so FX it’s a good sign for us.

@Jessiemuller88: I had a HUGE bleed yesterday (as in, bright red crampy bleeding) and ended up back at my IVF clinic for more betas. Somehow still went up but we're now on tenterhooks to see if this is a viable pregnancy. Please grow baby! xx
clementine / 973 posts
@jaguar: oh no! How scary! Its good your betas went up though! That’s always a great sign. I’m sending all the positive thoughts and vibes your way momma!
@honey786: @lmay820: welcome ladies!
clementine / 973 posts
@jaguar: I’m feeling ok- nervous more than anything. I am going in for betas tomorrow, and a repeat on Monday, so I’ll have some numbers next week. I didn’t want to do bloodwork at all, because it stresses me out, but with my previous losses and ectopic, they asked me to. My symptoms aren’t terribly strong. Im just tired, irritable, and have sore breasts. Do y’all’s come and go? Some moments I feel super pregnant and other times I feel normal.

@Jessiemuller88: Yes definitely! It's very disconcerting. I am mostly just tiiiiiired.

Okay, got a beautiful dark second line on FRER on 13 DPO and my temps are staying up in tri-phasic, so I think I’ll join in!
Location: Michigan
EDD: 1/17
How far along: 4w
First child? DS is turning 4 next week
First doctor appointment: have to call today
Any symptoms so far? Nothing other than late/no period. Maybe my boobs are fuller? They disappeared after I breastfed so I’m looking forward to that symptom.
Who have you told? DH and two out of state girlfriends via text. I had a chemical in January, so DH wants to hold off on telling my mom. For the same reason I want to tell her sooner!
clementine / 973 posts
@MsHangry: we have the same due date! I’m sorry about your chemical. I completely understand you husbands hesitation on telling people, after multiple losses, I’m the same way. I did tell my mom though because I need her support either way.
I’m stressing out today. I have had insanely sore breasts and woke up and the pain disappeared overnight. I took my last FRER and the line looks slightly lighter than two days ago. I went in for betas today, but won’t hear until next week. Am I worrying over nothing? I just can’t shake the feeling this will be yet another loss ☹️ The bottom test is from this morning.
apricot / 422 posts
@Jessiemuller88: I think they both look like super dark great lines. It’s hard to compare fresh/wet FRER with dry ones. Plus (as I know you are aware) they are not quantitative tests. I feel like they are made to be super sensitive at low Hcg, so over a certain amount they don’t show progression.
I am debating asking for betas. My appointment isn’t until June 11th. Arg!!

@Jessiemuller88: step away from the pee sticks woman! Fresh vs dry is hard to compare, but even so today's looks about the same, which means when it dries it should be darker.
clementine / 973 posts
@MsHangry: @Sams Mom: thanks for taking a look ladies. I know I seem crazy, but I have predicted all of my miscarriages based on fading tests, so I can’t help but stress. I hope y’all are right. I’ll step away... for now!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@MsHangry: Congrats mama x
@Jessiemuller88: I think those lines look great! You're at the point where the change won't look that drastic, until the test gets darker than the control. I'm a pee stick psycho too, so I totally understand !!
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Jessiemuller88: If you have a chance to pick up some super cheapie tests that aren't very sensitive, they tend to be better for line darkening. I use super cheap ones from Amazon that for me don't get completely dark until 19dpo, whereas FRERs already look really dark by 13 or 14dpo. I'm sorry for the stress, early pregnancy is the worst
I have a December EDD and am just lurking. The nausea is absolutely killing me, pregnancy with a toddler is rough My first US is next week, I don't think my husband will be able to get off work and I am sort of dreading going alone. I've had losses in the past, and somehow getting the news alone adds insult to injury...
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Jessiemuller88: they look perfect to me! Obviously there are many variables, but across my healthy pregnancies the test line was darker than control on frer by about 17-18dpo and you look right on track! Pregnancy after losses is so hard
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@bhbee: Thank you The good thing about feeling sick first trimester is that it doesn't leave much energy to worry about the pregnancy And I think after our experience last time around, my expectations are set appropriately low... I hated actually going through loss, but know that the worst of it is very temporary and that things most likely work out in the end...
Sending all the to everyone here

@periwinklebee: thank you, I think I might pick some cheapies up tomorrow for peace of mind. Early pregnancy really is the worst. I’m sorry you feel so bad on top of chasing a toddler. The struggle is real! I hope your nausea eases up soon, and I hope your DH can go to your first ultrasound with you!
@bhbee: thank you for sharing your experiences! It helps to hear others have been there and that my tests look normal ️ I’m trying to keep positive thoughts!

@periwinklebee: Hugs xx I'm packing it for the stupidly early scan booked for Tuesday, I'll be by myself for that one too!
@Jessiemuller88: Are you still peeing? I can't stop myself!
@CatchAFallingStar: Still here, still hanging in. How are you? xx
clementine / 973 posts
@jaguar: that’s so exciting you have an early scan! I can’t wait to hear about it. Yes I’m still peeing, but got a dye stealer this morning, so I’m officially done! Happy Mother’s Day ladies!

@Jessiemuller88: so happy that your line is even darker! After 4 consecutive losses, that's what happened with my current pregnancy. The line was pretty dark around 11dpo, so it stayed about the same for a couple of days which made me nervous. But I'm 13 weeks today. Fingers crossed that this is your sticky healthy baby!!

@jaguar: So glad to hear it!! Can’t wait to hear about your first scan. When is it? I’m ok. I’m just starting to get hopeful for next cycle.
ETA: I see now that it’s Tuesday. How far along will you be?
nectarine / 2808 posts
@jaguar: I think I’ll be peeing like crazy with my next pregnancy. I was naive this time and only tested two days in a row.
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Jessiemuller88: Thank you! So glad to hear the tests are looking good!
@jaguar: My scan is Tuesday too. How far along will you be? I'm around 7.5 weeks. I think I'll feel better one way or another after it, with some hope to get me through the MS if things look good or the relief that the end is in sight if it doesn't.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@periwinklebee: @jaguar: fx for both your scans! Hoping to hear lots of good news on here Tuesday

I think we have just lost the baby... really graphic bleeding and a huge clot with cramping. Ultrasound later to confirm. Absolutely devastated

@Chuckles: I am so happy to hear that things are going so well with your pregnancy. Was there a turning point where you felt less scared with this pregnancy? I think I’ll be terrified the whole way through.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
Omg what a day. Long story short, 50/50 whether this pregnancy makes it.
So the good news is, there is somehow still a yolk sac there, which at 5w5d we would expect. Too hard to make out anything more than that because we have multiple SCH that are literally behind the sac and scattered around my uterus. Not ideal. You could actually see the blood flowing on the scan!
FS said it's too hard to call, but reckons it's 50/50 with the amount of bleeding she can see around the uterus. Biggest risk is that one of the SCHs will take the yolk sac out with it when it as it goes. Cervix closed atm.
So for now... we wait and rest and see what happens. We do repeat bloods in 2 days to see if they continue to rise, and try to just hope for the best. She did say to expect more bleeding because of the amount she saw still circulating, and it's now 12 hours later, and it's still red as I'm wiping so... stressful times ahead in the Jag household..
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@jaguar: I'm sorry I had a large SCH and major bleeding around the same time in an earlier pregnancy. The entire experience was absolutely miserable, I'm so sorry you are going through this. I'm not a doctor, but my sense from reading about this is that when it's a genetically normal pregnancy, it's quite rare for an SCH to cause miscarriage - and many of the cases that are classified as this are actually genetic abnormalities and not the SCH. In our case we went on to see a heartbeat but very slow growth. The RE told me that it was because of the SCH, but we did genetic testing and found out it was not the SCH but a severe genetic abnormality incompatible with life.
I am so hoping that things will work out for you
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@periwinklebee: Definitely a risk, that's for sure. We don't PGD test our embryos, and we've had multiple miscarriages in the past, so whether or not the emby is genetically normal is still to be determined.
I've NEVER started a miscarriage with blood though - it's always come with crappy numbers or stalled out betas. This is all new territory for me.

@jaguar: Really hoping this is a bump in the road and not the start of a loss. Keeping everything crossed and rooting so hard for you!
