@jaguar: @graceandjoy: @Jessiemuller88: thanks ladies. I might have used my husband's love of guns (H&K is one of his favorites) to prompt him towards a K name. My favorite uncle and Dad's oldest brother/father figure's name was Kenneth, and Kennedy is the closest I could get for a girls name. He passed when I was 9, so my husband never met him, but thinks highly of him based on all he's heard.

After being puked on four times this morning (and all night), I had another major maternity wardrobe malfunction, with the entire butt of my maternity jeans ripped open when I pulled them out of the clean laundry. I swear, they weren't even tight there 😞 thank goodness it didn't happen while I was wearing them at work... Not sure what I'm going to wear between now and when this baby decides to make her appearance, but definitely not in the mood to buy anything new....

Also, I had washed baby stuff and stored it upstairs in a small part of our attic that's finished where I expected it would stay clean (nursery is still torn apart). We had insulation added to the unfinished attic, as it wasn't insulated at all (super old house). They left the door open between the unfinished part and the finished part, and now there is insulation particles and dust blanketing EVERYTHING, like not a little bit, it's super gross. It's going to be literally days of laundry - which is down in the unfinished basement - since all our outgrown baby and toddler clothes are up there, but also infant car seat, bassinet, swing, our new double stroller, jumperoo, baby toys... I'm going to have to take it all apart to wash everything, and some of it will have to be handwashed and won't be too easy to clean... not sure when I will find time to do this, ugh, but if the baby were to come with things in this state we'd be screwed... I remember my mom yelling at us all the time as kids "all I EVER do is clean up messes." I don't want to be like that, but it's how I feel lately...

@periwinklebee: Can they be responsible for hiring someone to clean all that for you?!

Glucose test today, stalking my chart for results 😬

@Sams Mom: I just had mine this morning! Then proceeded to stuff my face at work luncheon. I'm just going to be in the mindset that I have it AGAIN for the 3rd time, since that's more likely

  7. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@graceandjoy: I didn't have it last time, but I feel like I will this time. I totally ordered a giant thing of Mac and cheese from one of the breweries in town. 😂 I feel like I should avoid my chart until after Thanksgiving so I can shamelessly gorge myself.

  8. graceandjoy

    pear / 1565 posts

@Sams Mom: Haha seriously! I don't even know when I'll get results back. I actually went to look at what I have leftover in terms of my test strips/needles from last time I would be absolutely ecstatic if I don't have it for once!

    @graceandjoy: passed!!! Yay!

@Sams Mom: Yay! That was fast!

@graceandjoy: it just made it to my portal, but I saw it in my chart (work for the hospital) a little before that.

    @Sams Mom: Yay for passing!

@periwinklebee: Omg I would have lost my MIND.

Ugh I have to go back to do the 3 hour test. I have no idea if that's actually a good sign or not; the last 2 times my # was so high that they didn't bother having me re-test. So I'll either be so thankful I did the 3 hr b/c I pass, or pissed b/c I had to do the 3 hr and still fail

  14. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

    @graceandjoy: Fingers crossed!!!!!

@graceandjoy: I kind of doubt they'll be helpful (it's definitely a contractors market and not a homeowners market) but I'm still going to complain...

@jaguar: I'm pretty sure I have, lol. Between LO's stomach virus and all the laundry that the insulation mess has generated, I'll count myself as winning if I don't manage to break our washing machine with the non-stop laundry by the end of the week!

  15. graceandjoy

    pear / 1565 posts

@periwinklebee: I was just about to ask how you're holding up! I would totally complain; use "I am 9 months pregnant" to your advantage!!

  16. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@graceandjoy: thank you! at this point I'm just counting my blessings that I don't have DS's stomach bug yet, did catch the yucky cold he has as well, but I can deal with that... After next week things should calm down at work, so I'm starting to feel like there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. We are now on week 14 of renovations, which were supposed to be completed in 3 months. I think they'll likely go into January, but meh - it will be done eventually 🤷‍♀️

How are we going ladies? Home stretch! Don't go quiet on me now! xxx

@jaguar: hey! How are you doing momma? Home stretch for sure! I’m SO ready to not be pregnant. Literally taking it one day at a time because I feel incredibly miserable. I have an appointment tomorrow, so I’m excited to see the babies though.

So excited to start seeing babies! I had 2 Dec babies, I can't believe I have to wait till Feb for this one

Had a growth scan on Friday, baby brother measuring 3 lbs+ already and doing great despite the hosts of irregularities throughout pregnancy! We brought the girls so they were able to see him "live" on the screen too!

  22. Jessiemuller88

    clementine / 973 posts

@graceandjoy: I know! I can’t believe it’s baby month for some of us!! I’m so glad baby boy is doing great and your girls got to see him 💙 so exciting!

I just had an appointment. Both babes look great and are practice breathing, which is a great sign! I’m 33.5 weeks today. We officially scheduled my c-section for Dec. 27th!

@Jessiemuller88: Ahh you have a date!!

I am uncomfortable and officially one month away from "guess date" - yes! In like two weeks I will be "ready" to go at any time. I just hope the baby decides to come a tad early. I just keep tackling the to do list and taking it one day at a time.

  25. Jessiemuller88

    clementine / 973 posts

@honey786: a month is so close! You are almost there momma!!

I feel like I’ll be ready to go in two weeks too! I wouldn’t mind a tad early either, but wondering if 36 weekers need NICU time- definitely hoping to avoid that!!

  26. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Jessiemuller88: a friend of mine is a NICU nurse and said an uncomplicated di/di set of twins rarely come to the NICU after 34-36 weeks when I was asking about twins.

    Ok, very personal question 😂

Anyone that has had a boy and a girl notice that they had more yeast/BV issues with the girl than the boy? I had literally never had a yeast infection in 30 years of life until right around my BFP for this pregnancy. I've now had another yeast infection, BV, and feel like I'm getting one or the other again. What the heck!?!

  28. Jessiemuller88

    clementine / 973 posts

@Sams Mom: so good to know!! Thanks for your input!l I hope that’s the case for us too!

I use to get a ton of yeast infections, but oddly enough, I haven’t had any during pregnancy. I wonder if your hormones are different with a girl than a boy. I’m sorry you are going through this! I know how miserable they are

  29. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Jessiemuller88: it sucks! I don't want to have to ask for another script when I just had one a couple weeks ago. He did call in 2 doses of the yeast infection med, so I have a bonus pill of that already.

I officially scheduled my c section today too! February 25, first case, so I'll have another morning baby. Still trying to decide if I want to have him yank my tubes while he's in there or not.

  30. Jessiemuller88

    clementine / 973 posts

@Sams Mom: ugh I know how you feel about not wanting another script. I hope it clears up on it’s on. I’ve had a few do that!

How exciting! It seems so much more real having a date! That’s nice you will have it in the morning. My last c-section was at 12:30 and I was starving!!!!

I spoke to my doctor yesterday, and she is 100% yanking mine during surgery. We are 3 and done! The twins already threw us for a loop, so there is no way we will risk an oops baby.

  31. graceandjoy

    pear / 1565 posts

@Sams Mom: Had 2 girls and no issues at all. This boy def has given me WAY more discharge than ever, though not infection level yet....

@Sams Mom: That is so exciting! If I somehow need a c-section I def would consider getting my tubes tied!

@Jessiemuller88: Haha this 3rd is our surprise too, I really have to think long & hard about how I will go about birth control after this!

  32. Jessiemuller88

    clementine / 973 posts

Bumpdate! Mine is HUGE! I am literally running into everything with my belly. Glad the babies are nice and cushioned in there.

  33. graceandjoy

    pear / 1565 posts

@Jessiemuller88: So adorable!! I get totally mixed up comments about mine. And I feel HORRIBLE because I literally have like ONE bump picture I think I need to do a DIY maternity shoot so baby brother doesn't grow up and be like uhhh why was I ripped off

  34. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Jessiemuller88: so cute, my bump doesn't even fit in my husband's oversized t shirts I steal to sleep in 😂.

@graceandjoy: my little sister (3 of 3) was just complaining at Thanksgiving that there are more pictures of trees than her 🤣

I want to have my tubes totally removed because it reduces the risk of ovarian cancer, and there is just enough floating around the family that I'd rather not play the odds.

  35. graceandjoy

    pear / 1565 posts

@Sams Mom: Haha oh no! I def need to step it up!

  36. periwinklebee

    @Jessiemuller88: You look amazing!

@graceandjoy: No bump photos for me either, and this is only baby #2. 🤷‍♀️

Add me to the "when will this be over" party. LO puked for six straight days last week and had a horrible cold that he gave me (but counting my blessings on no stomach virus so far). Between the pregnancy and the icky cold sleep has been awful. Work is crazy and a train wreck. Daycare was closed half day today due to a snowstorm - it's also our first time not living in a condo where a company takes care of the snow, and I forgot to even buy a snow shovel with the craziness lately (fail). I'm pretty sure an animal died in our ductwork because I woke up to the most foul smell ever coming out of it, but can't call an hvac person to come look into it until DH has a chance to get off work, buy a shovel, and clear the driveway. All our baby stuff is still covered in insulation debris. We haven't discussed names. And it goes on.... definitely not feeling ready for her to arrive, except that I'm so uncomfortable.

Anyone else having lots of contractions? I've been having so many, not painful but sort of uncomfortable. Sometimes in the evening they will come at pretty regular intervals before petering out when I go to bed. I think they are there to spite me and I will probably end up going to 42 weeks 😂

  37. graceandjoy

    pear / 1565 posts

@periwinklebee: It sounds like there is just SOOO much going on. Can you just hire a cleaning crew/person to come and to the debris clean up at this point? You can also see if your landscaper, or search local FB group to see if anyone can come by to help with the snow! Now it's all about the outsourcing!

  38. Jessiemuller88

    clementine / 973 posts

@graceandjoy: it’s not too late to take a few!!

@Sams Mom: hahaha! Bump probz! I have like 3 things that fit, so I just rotate. I don’t blame you, and I’d probably do the same in your position! I guess mine will just be tied.

@periwinklebee: I’m sorry you are having such a hard time. That sounds like a lot to deal with. I hope DS is on the mend now and that you feel better soon. How long are you working? Can a friend come help you clean baby stuff? I’ve really learned to ask for help this pregnancy and it’s been nice to have support from friends and family. You don’t need all this to be on you.

@Jessiemuller88: Omg! Our induction date has been booked at December 27 too!!!!

As for me... I am still baking a giant baby! 35 weeks, baby measuring 2.6kg (!) and engaged, head looooooooow. Date booked for after Christmas unless she comes on her own before, who knows? I feel HUGE.
