@FannyMae: Did you ever try any of the pregnancy pillows last time you were pregnant? The snoogle pillow really helped me last time.
@QBbride: I ran the Vancouver marathon! That's all I've seen of Vancouver - but it was quite a tour! I'd love to go back someday. Can't wait for you to see your gummy bear next week!

Hey all, I'm 10 weeks yesterday and getting pinchy cramps underneath ribs and in my sides, anyone else?
Also my next ultrasound/bloodwork im supposed to get done 11-13 weeks .. Is it bad if I get it closer to 11 weeks (11 and a few days) or is that too soon? I'm so impatient for another ultrasound!!

I had my first midwife appointment today! She adjusted my due date to 7/14 based on my ovulation date (I had previously calculated based on my last period). We tried to hear the baby's heartbeat, but couldn't--she had warned me that it was probably too early and when she examined my stomach she said that since my uterus has not pushed out past my pubic bone yet we almost definitely wouldn't hear it. So, we scheduled another appointment for 12/17 to try to hear the heartbeat again/do an ultrasound if we can't hear it. She did a pelvic exam though and said that my uterus feels exactly the right size for 8 weeks and that my cervix "looks super pregnant," whatever that means! So, she told me not to be nervous about not hearing baby, and that she thinks everything looks healthy and normal.

Hi everyone! saw the little peanut yesterday! And after seeing the location was able to find the heartbeat on my doppler too
measuring exactly for dates, so surreal.

@angelachase: so glad to hear the appointment went well even without the heartbeat. I would say if your midwife isn't worried, I would trust her! Hoping you have better luck in a few weeks!

All we saw at ours were just lumps that will form into the arms and legs. I cried when the ultra sound tech pointed out the flickering heart beat! Ah pregnancy hormones!

nice to see so many canadians here, my honeymoon destination was toronto, montreal, quebec city and hong kong on the way home..... 30 + hours of flying time, but absolutely loved it there! would love to go back in the future, and travel through Vancouver

Hi everyone! Super late joiner, I had my first ultrasound yesterday and feel more comfortable joining.
My due date is 7/13 based on LMP, though I was told I'm measuring 5 days ahead.
Most excited about meeting baby and seeing what he or she will be like.
Most nervous about miscarriage or other complications.
This is my first pregnancy/baby.

@sugarbee: welcome!! I joyed yesterday after my ultra sound. We're you able to see the heart beat? The chances of miscarriage go down significantly if you are able to see a heart beat! Fingers crossed for all of us!
@simplyfelicity: the last two times I went crazy on Pinterest planning the nursery, this time I've been taking it a bit easier, but have been looking at maternity clothes online, I think it's good to get excited for each baby, but I do stop myself every once in a while with the same thought "am I jinxing myself??" I think its just part of the anxiety.
