@cvbee: yup, I'm with you on the no sex drive, poor dh, it doesn't help that I spotted after we DTD once and got so worked up about it (I know it's normal but still so scary after 2 miscarriages) that I put myself on self proclaimed pelvic rest, so there no DTD and very little of anything else either

@Mrsk: same situation with us! After a spotting scare I said we would reevaluate after our 12 week ultrasound

@travelgirl1: Thanks! I really think I have gotten over the worst of it. I still have moments of nausea but it isn't the same crippling feeling. I started to get worried but then I read that morning sickness usually starts to ease up (if you are lucky) around 10-14 weeks. I am 10wd today.
Yesterday, I walked my dogs, cleaned the carpet, decorated, went shopping for wrapping, cleaned the couch, bathed the dogs and did laundry...this is HUGE for me, haha. I am going to talk to my OB tomorrow about how I am feeling so much better and see if she will bust out the doppler to make me feel better.
Oy vey, I wrote you a novel.

@simplyfelicity: that is a productive day! So glad you are feeling better! I also read that symptoms start to decrease as the placenta grows, I've been feeling better too! Hope you get that Doppler soon and get to hear that sweet little heart beat!!!

@Mrsk: Thanks! That's what I read, too. Hoping that's just the case. You know how it is after a loss, I was "happy" for morning sickness.

I just noticed some streaks of pink when I wiped. Trying not to freak out and to stay calm but please, please don't let to be happening again!

@travelgirl1: Did you DTD or something? Is it getting worse? Praying it is absolutely nothing.

  8. travelgirl1

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

@simplyfelicity: We did but yesterday. Nothing else but with my miscarriage it was pink then nothing for a few hours.

  9. simplyfelicity

Reese and Mrsk just said they spotted after sex but I am not sure how long it was between dtd and spotting. It's probably nothing, but maybe call your OB in the morning. So sorry you are having to stress about this.

  10. travelgirl1

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

@simplyfelicity: I remember from last time they said not to come in unless it turned red. I know logically there is nothing I can do at this point to change the outcome either way, it's just stressful, isn't it?

  11. Reese

    pomegranate / 3521 posts

@travelgirl1: How many weeks along are you? I had my spotting right before my first ultrasound. So scary! If it's just a pink streak I wouldn't be too concerned but I know that is much easier said than done. It has stopped as well so that's a great sign!

  12. Mrsk

    apricot / 287 posts

@travelgirl1: my spotting was pink, and we DTD in the morning and I had spotting starting at lunch for the rest of the day, and then for 4 days afterwards, which is why I was so freaked out, my dr put me on progesterone just in case. Fingers crossed it's nothing! I say call your doctor in the morning, if nothing else, it might be reassuring to here them say it's poprobably nothing to worry about. Thinking of you! The spotting is sooooo scary! But hopefully nothing to worry about!

@Reese: @Mrsk: 9 weeks 2 days. I still have sore boobs and feel sick and am super tired so am hoping they are all good signs......

@Mrsk: yes we got to see and hear the heartbeat at 171! Also found out baby is measuring ahead 5 days. I hope thats good news. Only odd thing the sonographer said is baby was hanging out upside down

@cvbee: i do. I don't even want dh to touch me most days. I kinda feel bad for him. But seriously have 0 desire.

Currently in the throws of morning sickness. Somehow I forgot how bad this part was. I know that it's a good sign and that it'll all be worth it if I end up with a healthy July babe, but I've been up since 2am, exhausted, camping out on the couch for quick access to the bathroom, and all I can think is, "what have I done!?"

  21. travelgirl1

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

Thanks everyone Nothing else has happened, but I'm waiting for the 24 hour point to pass before I relax. My next appointment is on Friday, when hopefully I will be ten weeks. This pregnancy lark is such a worry isn't it?

@cait: I'm sorry you feel so bad! It sucks, hope you get some relief as the day goes on!

This thread moves so fast it's crazy! I love it!

@travelgirl1: oh no, so stressful! I know you know this but spotting can be so normal too. I spotted my entire last pregnancy and was always getting so worried!

I'm feeling you guys on the blumps finally! Last time I didn't look pregnant until about 24 weeks lol. I already look 4 months! I broke out mat leggings yesterday and it was such sweet relief !

@cait: I feel you. It's such a horrible feeling I worked this weekend and thought I was dying for real lol

I broke out the maternity jeans this weekend. I LOVE not having a button, but they are a little large and falling down on me (stretched from when I wore them with an actual big-ol-baby bump?). So, I guess yoga pants are still my go-to. Unless I want to be that woman constantly tugging at her pants. Also - saltines in the morning, are required. Before I start moving. If I have to go to the bathroom first. It's a morning filled with dry heaves. Good times....

    - - - - -

@travelgirl1: So glad things are looking good. Friday will be here before you know it!

@cait: Sorry to hear about the morning sickness! Hope you are able to get some sleep tonight.

    @sugarbee: Welcome! And congratulations!

@simplyfelicity: It's so fun to gather all of the ideas and wishes of things you want for your baby. I remember doing it in private for a while until I made it halfway last time. Private Pinterest boards make me so happy. Have fun with it! No jinxing - just good, warm, happy thoughts for a healthy baby to enjoy all of those goodies you're finding.

@sweetooth: do you have the under or over belly?! I can't believe the difference not having a button makes haha. All my over belly stuff is still ridiculous, but some if the under is perfect from blump stage!

  25. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

@fuzzypeaches: I never liked the under belly stuff the first time around, but maybe it's because I bought most of my maternity clothes later in the game. Maybe I'll head out and try some under belly jeans. As it is, I'm folding down the full panel to my waist.

@sweetooth: bring on the mat jeans! Omg, I was dying in my regular pants and now I don't know why I didn't put them on 2 weeks ago! They are a bit stretched though so for now I am that woman tugging at her pants. Only I try to do it when no one can see me.

Morning sickness is still here most of the day, usually it fades after lunch then comes back full force around dinner time. I have no desire to eat anything but chips and pasta but I'm forcing myself to eat one piece of fruit every day. I can't wait for the u/s on Thursday so I have proof that it's not for nothing!

@cvbee: I'm also in the don't-touch-me camp, DH is not amused!

@travelgirl1: scary stuff! I hope everything continues to go well, I'll be thinking of you!

@sweetooth: i didn't like the underbelly much last go around either with the exception of my work pants which are the gap perfect trouser dress pants. I'm wearing them now and they fit great and I still liked them at the end of my last pregnancy. I didn't like the underbelly jeans though which is sad bc foling the panel doesn't really work for me right now so I end up in leggings/yoga pants blaaah

I'm feeling so so much better and really am just not feeling great at night. I do think that I need to be drinking more water though. We saw the little bean again on Friday. Measuting 10 weeks and a lovely heartbeat of 174! We are skipping the screening so hopefully the next time I see my OB I will be 14 weeks!!

@mrsvdv: Pasta is my go to right now! Just ate mac n cheese for lunch. Anything carbs is my friend.

I am dealing with morning sickness from the time I get up until I go to bed. The only time the nausea subsides is when I am putting something in my mouth. I have been trying to tough it out but am going to get serious about looking into some remedies. Have people had luck with Unisom and B6?

  29. littlebittyhouse

@Bluemasonjar: how many weeks are you? Mine was like that weeks 6-8 but then eased up significantly!

@travelgirl1: thinking of you, hope everything is ok.

@cait: its tough when it kicks in isn't it, i'm also in the "whyyy WHYYYY!!!" camp hehehe

@mrsvdv: chips & pasta you say? i've been eating chips like they're going out of fashion. like, every day. I've got nasty gassy burpiness though, and the chips/carbs aren't helping. bread is the worst of all.

@Bluemasonjar: i've been taking maxalon that I picked up from my GP last week, but I've got my OB appointment tomorrow and I'm going to beg for some zofran. Last time, all it took was half a tablet to sort me out for the whole day. I'm NOT going through Christmas without it!

Although I haven't busted out the maternity clothes, I'm eliminating some of my too-tight normal clothes and adjusting what I wear. Today DH have me the heads-up that my tucked-in white button up shirt was giving me away.

  32. Reese

    pomegranate / 3521 posts

I'm so glad other bees are mentioning only eating carbs! It's all I want, and then I'm getting paranoid that the bean isn't getting nutrients and I'm being a horrible person!

  33. cait

    apricot / 268 posts

Thanks, ladies. It's nice to have people to commiserate with! Right now my typical day is always at least slightly nauseous, and then a few hours of feeling really terrible, usually during the night or early morning. And yep, I'm on the carb train too, when anything appeals to me.

Anyone else the main cook in their family? What are you guys doing for meals for LOs and DH when food makes your stomach turn or you're feeling especially sluggish?

@cait: my kitchen has never looked so clean.... I haven't cooked all week (thanks mum!) just making pasta with mushrooms tonight, I'm sure I can get hubby to fry the mushies

@mrsvdv: Wishing you a wonderful ultrasound!
@travelgirl1: Glad to hear you aren't spotting anymore... hope that was just a fluke thing.
@Reese: I seriously exist on food reserved for high school boys.

I haven't checked in in a few days and I've missed a ton!
My nausea is finally easing up I think. Knock on wood! Friday I was in a nausea/hunger spiral. I got too hungry it made me nauseas and then it just went on and on all day. Finally Pho for dinner and peppermint tea (my nausea salvation!) and chocolate cake for dessert made me feel human again.
Started my new job today and am struggling to find clothes that hide my blump since I want to wait a while before telling them.

  38. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@Candy_nee: Congratulations on the new job! My morning sickness started to ease up around 9.5 weeks. It's still uncomfortable and I have pretty bad moments but I am so THANKFUL I am not in that horrible stomach flu stage anymore.

  39. Bluemasonjar

@littlebittyhouse: I am 8 weeks today. Been feeling nauseous for over a week straight.

@Candy_nee: oh my goodness! Congrats on new job! When will you tell them? I'm totally freaking out about telling work since I JUST came back from mat leave this past July :s
