Hi ladies! All was well at my appt today! Heard the heartbeat right away and found out we are having a boy!!
I am so relieved and just went and bought maternity skinny jeans at old navy. Now to figure out how to share the news with everyone!

So a little bit scary: went to pee at 2am and nothing came out. I knew there was pee in there and inside I felt like I was peeing but nothing was coming out. I sat there for like five minutes trying different things. Then I hit Dr. Google and apparently this happens to some people at 12-14 weeks pregnant and lasts for a couple of weeks. I had noticed pee restriction, like a trickle would come out but then if I leaned to the side or pushed in my tummy more would come out. But last night not even those tricks were working. The medical solution is to go to ER and get a cathedar. But people also said to sleep on stomach instead of side or back and some people described different squat positions where it would suddenly come out. So I payed on my stomach for an hour or so and then sat really straight on the toilet and a little trickle came out. Then I happened to have to blow my nose, which required a lot of force and suddenly a big gush of pee came out. And then when I kept pushing hard with my muscles I could get more and more pee out. It was such a relief.

It is amazing how far we've come and how much more things will change! At first, I thought it was a girl because everyone I know has had a baby girl. Then, I started to get this feeling it was a boy and by the time we had this sonogram, I felt like it was just confirming what I knew. I would love to have a girl someday but I am just so happy he is healthy, I am not dissapointed one bit. When are you finding out? -
@simplyfelicity: Awesome! I feel like we are having a boy as well. DH's family is all boys! My MW appointment is on Jan 20 - I am guessing she will give me my ultrasound paperwork on that appointment (at least I hope so). Would my second IPS ultrasound and anatomy scan be at the same appointment? I also looked around at 3D places.. *gulp*

I don't get to have my gender scan until 20-22 weeks. And I will do a gender reveal (not a party but an add-on to a regular get-together) so I will wait even longer than that.

@Reese: I found a 3d place but dh said no hahaha. Do you have a feeling?? I think I'm mostly feeling girl this time. Last time I KNEW it was a boy - I don't have as strong as a conviction though.
Now my new plan is to have them let me do the anatomy scan as early as they allow ( I think 18 wk?)
