@MrsKRB: That babymoon sounds very relaxing! My husband and I won't - he isn't into vacations as it is. Hehe. Are you going over spring break (If I remember right, you're a teacher....)
@brownepiano: Me too on the coat front. My winter coat is an LL Bean type jacket so its got plenty of room for a little extra - plus I have read so much about pregnancy making women hot and seen many of my friends just unzip their jacket if they got too big. So we'll see. I also figure I'll be at my biggest in May and hope there is no need for a winter coat

I really need to expand my maternity wear! I have one pair of jeans and one pair of work pants, a dress, and 2 tops that are maternity. I have been fitting in more normal clothes the rest of the time, but they are becoming less flattering! I had a July due date last time and didn't need a maternity jacket. I don't plan to get one this time either, but I live in the south so we have fairly mild winters.

@MrsKRB: are you going to Mt. Washington? We are going to do a weekend Babymoon either the Poconos or St. Michael's in Md. It will be a combo Babymoon/anniversary trip. I can't wait! I think we will go in late March/early April.

@meadow: nope, just for a long weekend. And I'm a dietitian
@catomd00: right near there in Whitefield! We are staying at the Mountain View Grand. The Poconos were an idea for us too!

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry for being MIA yet again - we've been travelling over the Christmas period and I just haven't been online much but I have been reading along as much as I can. So glad to hear everyone had a great holiday and the pregnancy reveals all went well!
We announced to our extended family at Christmas and then on social media a few days later, so no more secret keeping for me, which is good as I am terrible at keeping secrets! Everyone is super excited for us and we've received nothing but positive comments, which is nice as before getting pregnant, everyone seemed to be so negative about having three kids!
I've officially moved into maternity jeans now - just bought two pairs the other day and life is so much better! I had both of my other girls whilst we were living in Australia so I pretty much lived in shorts and tank tops - not so much this time as we're living in England now!
We officially got the results of our NT scan and our risk is 1 in 25,000, which blew me away as I'm not exactly a spring chicken (advanced maternal age here!) Anyway, we're happy with that and won't do any further testing obviously.
Other than that, feeling pretty good, albeit fat. I never showed even the tiniest bit with either of my girls until well after 20 weeks, but now at 15.5 weeks, I definitely have a baby belly going on!
@MrsKRB: @catomd00: Your babymoons sound lovely! I'm such a big fan of a babymoon - we did one with DD1 (a week in Vanuatu sitting on the beach, sipping mocktails) and it was amazing. We sort of did one when pregnant with DD2 (a week in Bali) but we had our 15 month old with us so I'm not sure it really counts! For this baby, my mom is flying over to watch the girls for a long weekend and DH and I will head to Paris for five days or so. I'm super excited! We haven't booked yet but will probably go in mid to late April.
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well! We're nearing the time for the anatomy scans so we should be finding out some more genders soon - exciting!!

@MrsKRB: Dietitian - I knew that... you were the one who helped me calm down on the ridiculous amount of protein I thought I needed to eat early on. I'll blame it on babybrain
@catomd00: Mt Washington is amazing. My husband and I went there on one day of our honeymoon and it really blew my mind how much the wildlife changed as we climbed the mountain. Of course it was a foggy day at the summit, but still pretty remarkable
@Ree723: So glad that your NT scan went so well!! A weekend in Paris sounds lovely! How exciting
grapefruit / 4418 posts
@Ree723: we wanted to do a tropical one with #1 but it was less than a year after our honeymoon, so decided against it. We thought about it this time but I'm not ready to leave DD for that long yet! DH has promised me a 5 year trip though so I will be ready haha - 2 years to go!
@meadow: it's absolutely beautiful! I grew up in NH and while I don't miss the freezing cold weather, theres a ton of beautiful places there to visit. Much different from Baltimore!

We won't do a baby moon because hubs is saving his 3 weeks vacation to take off when I have the baby- but it sounds fun!!

Hi ladies. I'm going to join along here if that's ok... I was posting in the July board but my due date is now June 30th. And I'll likely have a c section which I think is done at 39 weeks so around June 23.
This is baby number 2 for us. My son will be two in March! We find out if we are having a boy or girl on February 4th. I'm thinking boy!
With my son I had a really bad 3rd degree tear, and at my follow up with the OB she said a c section might be best for the next baby. Here (Ontario Canada) I see my family doctor until about 28 weeks and then get sent to the OBs. My preference is strong for a c section. I'm hoping the OBs will agree. I need to find out if they can actually just tell me "no".
I am 14 weeks 3 days. And I've been following along here silently since I got my BFP

@Mrs. Champagne: of course it's ok! welcome!!
I'll be having a repeat c-section this go round- which might bump me into late May but we're not sure yet!
I think the majority who know the gender this go round are boys-- the rest of us haven't found out yet!! I find out on Tuesday!!

Thanks for the information on baby wearing Pastemoo & Mrs.Pink.
@Dr.Pepper: What a scare! I am glad you are doing ok now!
@Runnerd: The peeing a lot thing is so crazy. I seriously feel like I pee every five minutes.
@Mrs.Pink: Ha! Sounds like something I would do, there are seriously so many options its so easy to get confused.. I had to switch back to my original vitamins I took before I got pregnant because the prenatals made me so sick. I also add a folic acid in with them. I go to the doctor this week, so I will see if I need to add anything else to it or if I am good.
@Mrs.Champagne: Welcome Welcome!
Happy New Year everyone, 2016 is going to be a good one!
What did all you do over your break? I seriously was so lazy, it was so nice.

@meadow: no worries
@Mrs. Champagne: Hi and welcome!!
@MMcAlli: We didn't do anything exciting, but we got a lot done around the house which is always nice!

I hope everybody had a happy New Year!
@Mrs. Pink: I take a prenatal, B-12, Vit D, and a calcium/magnesium pill. (I was taking a flax-seed but to much controversy so I dropped it).
No cravings yet for me... kind of the opposite actually I'm still struggling with a lack of appetite. Most food doesn't sound good to eat and when it does sound good I'm only able to get a couple bites down before I lose all interest in it or can't stomach it any more. This has been made worse the last couple days by a head cold I'm struggling through. And then it doesn't help I'm picky eater.
I actually had my first pregnancy break down (or I'm blaming the pregnancy at least!) because of this. After two days of eating practically nothing; there wasn't anything appetizing in the house and the few things I did find appetizing I could only manage to eat more then a bite or two of it before I had to stop. And I wasn't about to go out in the 15 degree weather to grocery store at 9 at night so I just lost it! I was sobbing uncontrollably because I was hungry and I only wanted to eat but there was nothing to eat! And darn-it I was pregnant so I should be eating everything in sight instead of being disgusted by food! About 15 minutes later after lots of ugly crying I finally passed out and went to the grocery store in the morning. I an laugh about it now but I was pretty embarrassed by it earlier...
@Mrs. Champagne: Welcome! I've been lurking in the July forum since my due date is June 28th so I totally understand!
I haven't switched out to maternity clothes yet, I'm plus size and tall so I doubt I really buy much true maternity clothes anyways. I have bought a few loose tops and couple pants a size up (a couple weeks ago when I needed new ones anyways). But I haven't really gotten a bump yet so I haven't needed to change clothes anyways (though somethings are getting snug!)

@Mrs. Champagne: welcome and congrats! I have a March 2014 baby too (but she came two weeks early in February!) are you hoping for a little bro or sis this time? We find out tomorrow if my daughter is getting a sister or brother - can't wait!

@catomd00: thanks!! I honestly don't care either way! We want 3-4 and I have no preference if they are all boys or a girl thrown in too what do you think you're having??
@RKitty: @Mrs. Pink: @meadow: @MMcAlli: @runnerd: @MrsKRB: @RKitty: wow thanks so much for the welcome hope I didn't miss anyone!
For those that didn't find out or are team green, what's your prediction? Any gut feelings RE boy or girl? I'm thinking boy for me. My husband is picking girl to make things interesting, haha.
My doctor called today and said my iron is low. I've been exhausted so makes sense. I have to take three iron pills a day. Hopefully they work well and I have energy soon.

@Mrs. Champagne: I think girl! I was right with my daughter, I'll be happy either way, but I lean slightly towards another girl just for ease

@catomd00: Ooh, a five year trip sounds great too! I've asked for a ten year trip to some place super exotic, like the Maldives, but we'll see if that actually eventuates!
@Mrs. Champagne: Congrats and welcome! What a sweet baby picture! I'm going to say boy based on your ultrasound pic too, but I am terrible at this game so I am most likely wrong!
@RKitty: Don't feel bad - I got seriously grumpy with DH last week when he ate the last piece of leftover pizza for breakfast. We'd been out shopping all morning and all I was thinking about was having that pizza for lunch; I mentioned it on the way home and he sheepishly told me he ate it. I may have cried a little and refused to speak to him for the rest of the afternoon. Pregnancy hormones are no joke, ha!
@Mrs. Pink: @catomd00: Can't wait to find out what you ladies are having! Tomorrow for both of you, right?
nectarine / 2465 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: I think I'm having a boy, but not sure if that's because I would prefer one I find out in exactly 1 week!

@Mrs. Champagne: I'm team green......but since early on I've been thinking girls. My husband says boys to keep it interesting. I keep dreaming about boys - so who knows
@Ree723: I had similar feelings recently when my husband ate the last slice of pizza from the fridge! Must be something about leftover pizza!
I went to the gym on my way home tonight. I'm allowed 20 minutes of treadmill without going over 140bpm. I made it to about 18 minutes keeping my heart rate at 120bpm and under. Then my stomach started feeling "icky". I've been having a lot of gas the past few days and honesty I wasn't sure if it was related to that or if it was more of a sign that I was pushing myself too far, so I quit at 18 minutes to be on the safe side. I am fully aware this is the lamest sounding workout - but June until my BFP I wasn't allowed to do anything vigorous like jumping to prevent OHSS while on fertility meds. While I did walk 3 - 5 miles per day all summer, I got out of the habit this fall. Then I've been honestly too tired the past few months to really want to go to the gym (especially since I generally find treadmills boring). So while I do move around a lot at work and sit for a max of 2 hours per work day - I figure I should walk on a treadmill once in a while - not for weight reasons - but to just keep my heart in shape and generally MOVE. Each time I've gone to the bathroom since I got home I get nervous at what I'm going to see. I hope I'm overreacting. (Sorry for the ramble - I just scrolled and saw how long this got!)
Excited for everyone who has appointments this week and are finding out gender! Yay

@Mrs. Champagne: I think it's a girl but only because everyone around me seems to be having boys, which happened the first time too. I had a much better feeling with DD that she was a girl. We will know soon enough!
@Ree723: yes, tomorrow morning! Just found out DH likely can't go due to something that came up for work. I'm so bummed

Baby #2 is another girl!!!!! We are so excited!!!!

@catomd00: first girl! Congratulations!!
I *think* I've been feeling baby move. It doesn't really feel like butterflies or bubbles though, more like a muscle twitch? I'm just going to keep pretending that's what it is

@meadow: lol!!! I have been doing some pretty mild walking the past week, bc I can't do hardcore exercise due to my bleeding incidents - I have been describing my workouts as very lame to DH as well; 10 on elliptical, 15min walk, etc

I got the results to my Harmony test (all looks good), but for whatever reason they didn't run the test to find out the sex!! they offered an extra ultrasound this week or next, but I think we'll just wait until our 18 week anatomy scan at the end of the month.
