Woohoo I passed my glucose test! So excited! I'm going to get another ultrasound around 34 weeks to check on my cyst and I'm officially on 2 week appointments!
I'm also super excited I scored a second hand k'tan that was used once for $20! I never see XS being sold. dd wouldn't let me use any of her dolls to try it out because she wanted in it! Good thing I have a peanut for a 2 year old because she didn't want to get out. She wasn't a big fan of being worn when she was smaller so of course she wants it now!

@catomd00: yay congrats! I was actually just gifted the k'tan, I'm super excited to use it!

@Alba4: no big....there are so many things to keep track of. I was thinking my "lady" parts pain was related to the progesterone suppositories that I've been taking....but I guess it could be a normal pregnancy sympton. Not that I wish it on others, but it is nice to know I'm not alone!
@Brownepiano: That stinks about your post vanishing - booo! I think I want to work on a freezer stash too.....some pasta things (stuffed shells with veggies, lasagna, baked ziti.....) and some crock pot meals. I have a couple recipes you put in a ziplock bag and then don't even defrost - simply throw in the crock pot. I think that will be easy enough to do :-p. Next time chicken is on sale I think I"ll start the crock pot ones.
@catomd00: woohoo! CONGRATS on passing Too funny about your 2yo wanting to be in a carrier :-p. I really hope my babies like being carried! A friend of mine is going to lend me her woven wrap and teach me how to use it. Then when they are older I have a sweet double carrier!
I'm starting to feel my belly getting in the way at the kitchen sink....might have to give up washing dishes soon. *darn* I'm SO sad to give that job over to DH. (HA!)
It is so amazing to see baby movement from the outside...I was watching this afternoon and it was unreal!! Fascinating to think about what each baby is doing in there I think I'm getting to close to "starting" to waddle. It is very funny :-p.

@meadow: oh will you please share the one bag crockpot meals? I don't feel like doing any freezer prep, but those sound easy enough to put a few together!!

@catomd00: http://ashleynoelbarnes.blogspot.com/2013/05/10-freezer-to-crockpot-meals.html
Very easy to put together - especially if you do a couple at a time. Enjoy!

Ugh - this swollen feet thing is getting old real fast. Anyone have any tips other than put my feet up when I get home and try not to stand all day?
Drink more water? Eat something in particular? Do jumping jacks? haha.
pear / 1593 posts
@meadow: mine are swelling off and on already, I've been surprised since it didn't happen til later last time
I just try to drink tons of water when I feel it. I hear exercise is suppose to help too, but I feel like it's worse after my walks.
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@meadow: give birth, lol. Compression knee socks help a little, too.
persimmon / 1272 posts
@runnerd: Yeah I went for a walk tonight after work and about 10 minutes in I could feel the pain in bending my feet where my toes meet my feet.
@pastemoo: hehe - like that one!
apricot / 341 posts
@meadow: Mine have just started swelling a little... but I've been wrapping them with ace bandages any time I know I'm going to do more walking then a regular day or going barefoot. So I don't know if that helps or not? It would be doing the same thing as compression socks.
I'll be testing out my feet this weekend though as I'm participating in 1 mile fun run/walk with my dogs and the local rescue group I volunteer with!
persimmon / 1272 posts
@RKitty: oo! Have fun with the walk!
Compression socks/stocking probably are the way to go - I'm not excited about forking over money for them....I'll see what the doctor says this Tuesday......
I have no ankle bone right now - serious cankles going on haha.....

for swelling they always told me to drink more water when I was pregnant with DD- that hasn't started over here yet, which is nice. Probably try to eat less salt too? I think salt has something to do with water retention

I have an ultrasound order in for the 23rd-- to check growth again-- and am now on Every 2 Week appointments! Things went pretty good at the apt today- I'm up a pound but I don't know if that was because I actually ate breakfast this morning before we went or not haha
They want me to take 4,000 units of Vitamin D a day.... in addition to my prenatals which have Vitamin D.... apparently I'm hella deficient...
Oddly I'm already starting to shed I think? With DD I didn't have any hair issues until a month or 2 (maybe a bit more) post partum- but I'm already noticing my brows thinning out- and hair coming out a bit though not as bad as PP shedding, it's starting up

@Mrs. Pink: yeah - I'm generally a low-sodium type person.......but I will try to increase my water intake - that makes sense.
Yay for a growth scan - will be nice to see baby!
coconut / 8483 posts
@Mrs. Pink: hopefully she's growing well! I have my first growth scan on the 22nd, just before 26 weeks. My belly measured 26 weeks at my appt yesterday so im hopefully she's doing good in there!
Anyone else have new names to share??! Still a struggle here
nectarine / 2465 posts
@Mrs. Pink: yay for another ultrasound! Sorry about your hair loss, I haven't noticed any loss/gain either way.
I've had a pretty easy pregnancy so far, but man the third trimester is kicking my butt already! I'm not really hungry, I get nauseous when I do eat and so much back and hip pain! I had my 28 week appt a few days ago and baby is still comfy in breech from 23 weeks. Oddly, I'm not too concerned about a c-section.

@meadow: I wonder if you might not be eating enough sodium? Your body can go both ways and retain fluid if you aren't getting enough of a nutrient. In pregnancy your sodium needs increase. I really don't know though, I hope you find some relief soon!

Any mommas take Sudafed while pregnant? I have the worst sinus infection - my entire left side of my face from my cheekbone to my jaw is killing me. I went to the pharmacy in desperation at 2 am and the pharmacist wouldn't give it to me despite it being on my OBs list (which I showed her!) she said she would only recommend Sudafed PE to me which Google tells me No! My pharmacist friend said I could take regular Sudafed , so I grabbed it at Target but now I'm nervous! Is it only everyone else's "safe" list? I just need a little relief so my face doesn't explode!

@catomd00: I replied on your other post but I wanted to add that I think phenylephrine is supposed to be slightly safer than pseudoephedrine. So check the active ingredient. Sorry you are sick!
pear / 1593 posts
@catomd00: I am 99% sure it's on my OB's safe list. Weird about the pharmacist.

So I still haven't checked to see if I passed me glucose test. I'm living in blissful ignorance as long as I can. And I've been busy with other woes... I have possible nerve damage in my hand so I have surgery on Thursday. It makes 11 weeks till due date seem a little short to try to fit in healing and physical therapy!
grapefruit / 4418 posts
@runnerd: I even went back to my old OBs list from DD and it was on there, too. Just said not if you have high BP and I have exceptionally low BP. I decided to take a dose and it was just the amount of relief I needed to function! Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow!

My hubby was thinking that the hair loss might be related to the Vit. D deficiency- even the hair on my arms seems way thinner then it ever was before! I haven't done a lot of research into it though LOL
I have nothing on names... I know I need a classic old fashioned feminine name to go with DD's name as a sibset- so I think Zoey is out.. . I'm not feeling it as much anymore. But otherwise I got nothin'
persimmon / 1272 posts
@MrsKRB: Wow! I had no idea about the sodium...that is fascinating!
@brownepiano: Good luck with your surgery - yikes! That doesn't sound fun!
@catomd00: Glad you're feeling better!
My feet are normal looking today! So that affirms my theory that it is work/standing related...BOO.....I'm not looking forward to forcing myself to sit. I'll check with my OB on Tuesday for suggestions from them and info about how my sodium intake could be affecting it all.
Saw my belly in the mirror today and feel like I'm really getting big haha.... Can't wait to see how I continue to grow!!

@Meadow: I have always heard drinking more water & propping your feet up when you can helps with the swelling. Mine hasn't shown any signs of swelling but I have a office job so I'm not on my feet a lot. If it doesn't help.... cankles are the new sexy... :))
@Mrs.Pink: Can't wait to hear how your growth u/s goes. It does sounds like a major deficiency in the Vitamin D department. Dang. I would say the hair loss has something to do with it. Maybe the vitamins will help!
@Mrs.Champagne: Yay for a scan tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how it goes!
@MRSKRB: I feel you on the eating part. From watching family/friends go through their pregnancies I expected to be cleaning my plate by now & asking for seconds but NOPE. I can't even eat a full meal. I will eat about half & feel nauseous and/or extremely full. It's crazy how every body reacts differently to pregnancy. At least we are in the home stretch! :))
@brownepiano: Good luck with your surgery & I hope you recover quickly!

Well ladies my weekend was crazy! Thursday I woke up feeling a little off, blaming it on the pregnancy, I got ready & came to work. About 1 pm I decided to leave because I still wasn't feeling too great. By 2:30 I had realized I had caught the stomach bug......YUCK!!!!!! Long story short I ended up at L&D for dehydration. Then was later admitted for contractions occurring every 3 minutes that would not stop after 4 bags of fluids & two doses of medication to stop them. After test confirmed I wasn't in active labor they gave me another bag of fluids & something to knock me out. Next day the contractions had finally spaced out & I was discharged. Doctors believe I was just severely dehydrated, which is scary because I had only been sick for 6 hours before showing up to L&D. I know that is a long time for not being able to hold anything down but I didn't realize I could become that dehydrated that quickly.
Anyways, I am just thankful it's over & we are both ok.
On Saturday, with some.... I mean lots..... of help, I got the nursery painted & furniture moved into it. Now just need to hang stuff on the walls & organize..
I cannot believe it's almost April. I feel like April is my last month to get everything done because he could come in May... I am so excited to be approaching the home stretch!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Happy Spring! :))

@catomd00: I do sinus rinses they work way better then anything else I've ever had to clear out sinus infections. I've gotten to the point where I know I'm developing an infection so I do my rinses for about a week and it clears it out drug free. I had be doing them pretty regularly because I'm not taking my allergy meds at the moment, and I really need to start back up again...
@brownepiano: ignorance is bliss!
@Mrs. Pink: Zoey was going to be my name if I had a girl. (but with little dots not the y). So I'm fond of the name
@MMcAlli: So Scary! I'm glad everything is okay and you went in earlier then later!
nectarine / 2465 posts
@MMcAlli: oh wow! How scary! Were you not drinking a lot in the days before?
cherry / 154 posts
@MrsKRB: No, I make sure to drink at least a gallon a day since I've been having Braxton hicks since 22 weeks. The day the virus hit I had already had 3 bottles of water in me so I was shocked at how fast I had become dehydrated. Maybe when you're pregnant you can become dehydrated quicker? I'm not sure, I should have asked but I was so ready to be out of that hospital bed it didn't even cross my mind.
Thanks Ladies for the kind words. :))
Any of you been occasionally reading other due date boards? Today was slow at work so I started reading April 2016 Due Date Board. So exciting to know ours is coming up!
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@MMcAlli: Yikes! I'm glad you're ok. That's scary!
@brownepiano: Thursday is coming right up. Good luck in surgery!
@Mrs. Pink: Post a name thread and call it old timey classic girls' names. Fun stuff.
@meadow: Glad that resting helps with the foot swelling. I'm about to start with my compression socks again.
@catomd00: Aww, get well soon. I always just google xyz drug pregnancy class, and don't worry about the As and Bs and call my doc about the Cs.
persimmon / 1272 posts
@MMcAlli: hehe - thanks - Cankles are pretty hot
That must have been so scary with the dehydration but I'm really glad to hear you are doing better!!! WOW.
As for the other boards - I peek every once in a while But I can't say I read with any sort of regularity...

@RKitty: I have a total complex about putting stuff up my nose! I took one dose of Sudafed and it was miraculous! I did convince myself to do some saline spray and hate every second of it, but it's helped a little. Feeling so much better just having been able to get some stuff draining. I don't wish that pain on anyone! I'd seriously rather be in labor!
