Hi,

Not in labour (yet!) but wanted to wish everyone the delivery they hope for and a healthy baby at the end of it!

So close!!!! I'm eating my dates and hoping for a VBAC. We have an ultrasound on Wednesday to check the position and size of the baby.

@Synchronicity: Good luck to you too!
@azjax: I keep forgetting to eat my dates everyday. Between all of the supplements that my midwife has me taking and preparing for the baby. lol

@azjax: ugh, I am eating dates too and I think they are gross! Hope they are worth it! Haha

@Synchronicity: I am eating Medjool dates. I heard they taste better than the other ones.

I love dates but it's hard to eat many of them everyday! Too much of a good thing.

@azjax: I've been meaning to ask - you mentioned your doctor is willing to induce with a VBAC, right? Is he willing to use pitocin? I'm still trying to decide on a VBAC and I feel like a hot mess.
@Synchronicity: Dates are disgusting. I need to find a way to hide them in food.

Hi all! Looks like I'm now a September mama. I was due Oct 12 with DD2 and had a false alarm last weekend (where I found out I was 4cm). Exactly one week later, this past Sunday I started having cramps at 11:55pm. We monitored them for an hour and they definitely became longer and stronger. Got to the hospital at 1:20am and baby was born at 1:27am. No time for epidural or even an IV, and my doula missed the birth! But baby is healthy and my recovery is going well. Wishing you all the best!!

Hi! Baby girl arrived via successful VBAC. We're both doing great and I'm thrilled to not be pregnant anymore.
Good luck everyone!

I never updated hellobee! Baby girl arrived on her due date (so punctual) on the 14th! We are home and everyone is healthy and happy (and so, so sleepy).

My OB placed laminaria in my cervix this afternoon to physically dilate me for a VBAC friendly induction (prostaglandins not allowed for VBAC at my hospital). Holy cow they hurt going in and I've been miserable with horrible cramps and sporadic contractions since. Things seem to be slowing down now, which makes sense because it's been about 6h since they were placed and most of the dilation should be completed. I report to L&D at 5am for removal and pitocin and what I hope will be a glorious epidural!!! Baby soon, one way or another!!!!
