    So, does it feel surreal for anyone else? I find it hard to believe that I'm ry pregnant! (Despite this being my second child!)

    My first appointment is next week (just a ursine test and chatting), and I'm secretly afraid they'll tell me that I read my HPT wrong or something. I guess I feel that way since I'm only 4w4d or something (early!) and therefore having few symptoms.

    @Aria: ohh gotcha! still super handy for a babe though! I've always wanted to go to NYC! Jealous you live there! Not jealous of what you have to pay to live there hahha.

    @marzipan: Yeah, I never had cramping the first time either, which is why it makes me nervous haha. I feel like this is all very sureal. I went to the Dr on Tuesday and did the urine dip and chat. I was very nervous the test was going to be negative. It took all my strength not to be like, "hey, can I just see that test, I need to see how dark the lines are. They'd be better if this was FMU, but I've tried to hold it as long as I could today..." but I resisted so they didn't think I was crazy haha.

    So I knew I shouldn't have started this thread. I had my beta today. I'm 4 weeks 6 days. My hCG was 1,038 but my progesterone is only 3.7. I'm already on Endometrin 3x/day and I'm adding the PIO injections back in. I go on Monday for repeat blood work.

    @MrsB2012: ha! I'm sure a lot of us can relate to that "must resist!" feeling. Then again, I'm pretty sure the docs have seen and heard it all!

    @swedishfish: Did you have progesterone problems with your last pregnancy? They are being proactive about it and trying to get it up so don't count yourself out yet. I'll be praying for you.

    @swedishfish: I don't have any experience with betas and progesterone levels, but I so hope that everything turns out okay and you have better blood work on Monday. Thinking of you.

    @MrsTal: I went through IVF with R and my progesterone was fine as far as I know. My progesterone was low with my miscarriage in March but it was higher than today's number. I am pregnant from a FET this time.

    @MrsB2012: I've had some cramping too but I try not to get nervous but it's hard!
    @swedishfish: HUGS! Don't count yourself out just yet. See what your doc thinks on monday

    @marzipan: Completely surreal. We've been trying for 8 months (but just 6 cycles, thanks to anovulatory PCOS), and to finally see two lines just floored me. My first BFP was a total squinter, and while *I* could see the line and knew it was a DH's response was, "I'm not convinced!" It took a FRER with beautiful, dark lines, to make him believe it

  12. Aria

    persimmon / 1121 posts

    @HeartAbandoned: My husband didn't believe my squinter either. I took a Wondfo at 9dpo that had the faintest line, and I made him come look at the test to see if he saw anything. He was so nonchalant about it, and I was freaking out. Even though I'd told him before that even the faintest line meant positive, he didn't believe it. Even after I took a FRER, he asked "are you sure you're pregnant?" haha I think it's finally sunk in though.

    Red tinged CM. This is how my miscarriage in March began. I don't know if I should just do the PIO injection tonight or call the on call nurse to ask if I should bother.

    @Aria: @MrsTal: @MrsB2012: thanks, I'm trying to stay positive. I didn't call the nurse. I decided to do the PIO injection tonight and see what happens tomorrow.

    @swedishfish: glad you still did it. We all know that some spotting can be normal. it's hard not to think the worst, especially when you've experienced it before. I'm thinking of you, sending positive vibes

    @Aria: I'm trying to stay positive but the doom and gloom is getting to me. The thought of possibly going through two miscarriages in a little over three months is making me very anxious. I really hope my numbers improve on Monday.

    I suppose I might as well join...

    Location: rural Colorado

    EDD: Feb 8, 2015

    How far along: 5 weeks

    First child? No, have an 18 mo son. They should be 27 months apart.

    First doctor appointment: I need to call tomorrow and make it! I only found out last night.

    Any symptoms so far? Not really? But as shocked as I was (not trying, but only half assed prevention), I also wasn't surprised. (Yay for emotional roller coasters!) DH said the same thing when I told him so maybe subconscious symptoms.

    Who have you told? Just DH and texted my BFF but haven't heard back yet. My mom called tonight and who would have thought if be thankful for a tantrum but it saved me from having to talk to her. I'm not ready yet!

    @caitlanc: congratulations!

    I had my first ultrasound today. Everything looked good according to my RE and I go back next Thursday to hopefully see the heartbeat.

    @caitlanc: congrats!
    @MrsTal: that's great! I will always remember seeing and hearing DD1s heartbeat for the first time.

    It is 10:30 and I'm EXHAUSTED already. Is it bad to nap when I put DD down for her nap and forgo a shower? LOL

    @caitlanc: Congrats and welcome!

    @MrsTal: So glad to hear your ultrasound went well!

    @swedishfish: Good luck at your appointment today.

    We told my parents over Skype this weekend and they are ridiculously excited, it was so much fun. I told them by sending them a slideshow of pictures from our recent trip, and at the end was a picture of our two dogs with a pair of baby shoes that said "we're getting a new sibling...arriving February 2015". They thought we were getting another dog at first so watching their face as they figured it out was pretty funny.

    @caitlanc: welcome and congrats!
    @MrsTal: glad everything looked good at the ultrasound!
    @autumn865: hahah sleep or shower. Totally sleep if you can. I've been going to bed so early! In bed and asleep by 9 last night. For the last 2 months my daughter has been sleeping like hell, usually taking about 3 hours to get to sleep. We finally got it sorted out last week.. just in time
    @Aria: That's exciting you told your parents! Do they live far away? I told my mom a few days ago. She was gone to the Baltics on a cruise and the night she got back my 2 sisters, brother and I were hanging out at her house. ( we're all really close so I told them all right away as I know they will be supporting me if anything happens. ) I put B in a t-shirt that says, I'm the big sister and handed her to my brother. He noticed right away, read it out loud and was like "holy, are you pregnant!" Everyone just whipped their heads around at me, my mom cried haha. It was cute.

    Been stalking this board since the beginning of my TWW and now I'm here!! Crazy!

    Location: Pennsylvania

    EDD: Feb 14 although it will probably end up being later because I ovulate later than "normal"

    How far along: 4 weeks 2 days

    First child: yes

    First midwife appt: this Thursday we have to go a seminar (it's a birth center, and they require it first) then my first real appt is July 18 (we'll get to hear the heartbeat!)

    Any symptoms so far: mostly just a lot of bloating, ugh! I also have a bad taste in my mouth and excess saliva... Probably a precursor to MS, right?

    Who have you told: just DH, HB, and the birth center. I'm really nervous to tell my parents!!!

    Edit: to add first real appt.

    @caitlanc & @circusbee welcome and congrats!

    @autumn865 I would definitely sleep. I traded a shower for an extra few minutes in bed this morning.

    Is anyone else bloated? Or does anyone know if this is supposed to go away before the bump? Or does the bloat just turn into a bump? I'm already uncomfortable in pants... and it would be hard to keep the pregnancy from my co-workers if this doesn't go away at least for a little while!

  35. MrsTal

    clementine / 901 posts

    @Circusbee: congrats! I am also bloated a ton. I've found that drinking a lot of water and eating smaller meals helps it a bit, but not much. I'm thinking I'm going to be wearing a lot of dresses and skirts to work this summer to help hide it.

  36. Aria

    persimmon / 1121 posts

    @MrsB2012: Yeah my parents live across the country. I so wish I could have told them in person. We'll be telling DH's parents in person because they're only a 3 hour drive away, but we're waiting until after my appointment on the 24th. My SIL just announced they're expecting their first, so we didn't want to jump in just a week later and say we are too.

    @Circusbee: Yes, so much bloating, but it comes and goes. For me I'll be okay for a couple days, and then the next few days I can't eat anything without feeling so uncomfortable.

  37. autumn865

    persimmon / 1147 posts

    @Circusbee: at the moment very bloated.... Considering whipping out my Bella bands so I can sport the unbuttoned pants look!

  38. Circusbee

    apricot / 390 posts

    Haha this thread is going to save me, I just know it!

    I wore a dress today thinking that I'd be more comfortable, but I keep letting the belt in and out and I am SO uncomfortable! And every time I eat (anything) I feel so full, like just after Thanksgiving. I promise I'm not eating more than normal! I think I need to follow your lead, @mrstal and eat small meals.

    Yesterday I wore a pair of my more "baggy" jeans, and I had to un-button them whenever I sat down. Looks like I might be buying myself a bella band sooner than I thought

    @Circusbee: Have you tried the hair tie trick with you pants? That helped me the one day.

    apricot / 390 posts

    @mrstal I was going to yesterday, but then I forgot the hair tie... womp womp... But yes! I should do that!
