Ellie and I are finally getting discharged! We had to stay an extra day because they decided that Ellie needed to spend some time under the bili lights due to her jaundice. But her numbers have gone down enough now that we get to go home!

june baby it is. scheduled for an induction on thursday but hoping he shows up all on his own. all of these baby pix has me so anxious to meet this little babe!!!

I'm being induced!!! Can't wait to meet the little guy. My ultrasound today had him around 7.5lb but we shall see how accurate that is.

@MamaB: Yep. Started cervidil 9 hours ago. With my first it started labor, but so far this time around it hasn't. Won't know if it was effective for a few more hours and then I'm not sure what the next step will be. I was so sure that this induction would go like my first. Wrong!

My cervidil failed. It must not have been in far enough because it was practically falling out when my doctor got here. He wanted to do it again but I asked to move straight to pit. I only got 4 hours of sleep last night and I can't handle not sleeping tonight and then pushing. My doctor's not in love with my plan but he is going along with it.

And I'm on a low dose of pit. Not the way I wanted thid induction to go but it's fine. All I want is a healthy baby

I've made some progress so far. I had two rounds of cytotec and got some sleep last night. Around 4am I woke up with crazy contractions and promptly asked for pain medication. So much for natural labor! I didn't care though the back pain was sooo intense I applaud anyone who can do it without help. My progress has slowed since I got the epidural and am at 3cm and 90% effaced. Just starting pitocin now and depending on how that goes they will break my water next.

William Paul was born tonight at 7:15. He weighs 6lb. 14oz. and is 19 inches. The last part of labor escalated in seconds and it only took me 8 minutes to push him out. I did have some tearing but he is eating like a champ. I'll post a pic tomorrow when he gets a bath.
