I've been feeling lots of movement lately. Lots of flips and stuff but no real kicks yet. Anyone else feeling movent? This kid is really active!

@Dandelion: Yes! I have felt it several times this past week (18w, 1st pregnancy). It doesn't feel like kicks or jabs, but twitches/flutters sometimes. It has also really started to tickle or itch....kinda like if a finger is lightly dragged across my skin, only from the inside. I think someone else described feeling this too? I worked both days this weekend at the library and had to deal with some unruly children, so I was doing lots of walking and talking and I think the baby was going crazy! It was tickling/itching like crazy from the sensation! DH is really jealous he can't feel anything yet.

Those of you that are feeling movement, how often are you feeling it? I have been feeling it for a few weeks now, but it seems to be very minimal...
watermelon / 14206 posts
@Bao: Usually early morning and late at night. Once in a while when I'm sitting, like in class or something.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@Dandelion: Ok I usually feel it when laying down, I thought I felt it more with A by now, but maybe not!

@Bao: I only feel her right before I go to bed, and strangely, it's on the left side, almost by my hip. It seems too far to the side, but I feel little kicks there almost every night, so I know it's her. (If this was my first pregnancy, I would just think it's gas )

@Bao: I usually feel kicks or what I'm assuming are kicks at night when lying on the couch!

@anonysquire: none here either. I thought I felt a few flutters last week but nothing since then. Of course now I'm paranoid. Can't wait for our a/s next Friday!

@futuremama: I thought I was feeling movement last week. I was like kind of curled in a ball and felt vibrating in my stomach. But realized it was my own heartbeat. Duh!!!!

@anonysquire: it totally can feel like a cell phone on vibrate- such a strange feeling!
Most frequently for me it's when I'm laying down, I can feel a kind of stretching and rolling a few inches below my belly button. I don't get a chance for quiet time often, so usually 2-3 times a day.

So jealous of everyone's movements!! I can't feel any yet (almost 18 weeks).

@lemondrop: I feel the vibrations, too! I keep thinking my cell is on me, lol
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@lemondrop: But mine is a vibration in tune with my heartbeat. I don't think the baby has that kind of rhythm yet, but I could be wrong?

@Mrs. Champagne: eeeeks yay!!! What time is your appt? What do you think it's going to be? Mine is the day after yours
coconut / 8483 posts
@Bao: yay! How exciting!
It's at 12:45 (exactly 48 hours from now!!) but DH can't come So I am going to get them to write down if it's a boy or girl so we can find out together when he gets home from work around 5. Going to be the longest afternoon ever!!
coconut / 8483 posts
@Bao: Have you changed your mind from thinking you're having another girl?
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: no not really...seems like lots of people think boy but I'm still 98% sure it's a girl...I wouldn't be mad if I were wrong
coconut / 8483 posts
@Bao: haha! I'm so curious to find out! We are thinking it's a boy! Everyone except for a couple people tell us they think boy too - so we shall see!! I'd be shocked if it was a girl at this point, but excited!
coconut / 8483 posts
@Bao: it says boy! and my morning sickness wasn't too bad (never threw up) and I'm craving sour stuff! Also DH thinks my US had a penis on it.. lol!

@Mrs. Champagne: I have lots of trust in the gender chart

@Bao: @Mrs. Champagne: eek I'm so excited to be able to call the baby he or she - i hate using 'it' yet i cant stop myself! I find out tomorrow morning so we have gender news 3 days in a row
pear / 1699 posts
@Bao: I think girl - I had my scan last Wednesday and didn't see a penis but they're so tiny at this stage and she didn't focus there much at all. She said she 'documented' it so my dr will tell us tomorrow. Gender chart said girl, I've had a gut feeling girl and I kinda really hope girl...although healthy is so so much more important, obviously.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
I'm curious, those who found out already...was the gender chart correct for you?
coconut / 8483 posts
@Mrsjets: eeee exciting!! going to be a thrilling few days for us!! haha. I can't believe they wouldn't tell you at your scan!! I don't think that will happen to me, as all my friends have found out the day of.. fingers crossed!!
@Bao: also curious about the chart! DHs cousin said it was right for all of her kids (3)!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: I know some charts give different results, at least for me it has...
coconut / 8483 posts
@Bao: I used the baby center one, but when I put in my conception date instead of due date it says girl.. lol!
pear / 1699 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: oh I'm sure you'll find out there. I went to a Catholic hospital so I think it's something they just don't do...like I would throw myself down a staircase if I didn't get the gender I was hoping for
bananas / 9118 posts
@Bao: same here! The gender charts haven't worked for me. I try again after we find out, and sometimes they are right, sometimes wrong. This one definitely should have been a girl according to the charts.

We had our anatomy scan today, so awesome to see the little guy again! Everything looked good and he was pretty well behaved and let her see what was needed- Cam was not as well behaved during his anatomy scan.
Can't wait to see what everyone else's scans turn out to be!
Here is our gender announcement for those not on IG. I'll add a few more later, as the uploads aren't working well right now. He's averaging 19 weeks, 4 days so they adjusted my EDD to 3/13- that would be our 4th anniversary! No need to change it here, as we all know, a few days either way doesn't mean much when the baby decides it's time
