Ok they said meet them there at 7:30, So I got a little while. I had to collect the paper towel that I did the squat test on and package it up to bring. Not sure what else I should be bringing.

Sorry I am using exclamation points way too much. I ate a donut and somehow that is making me even more on edge. Why the heck did I eat a donut at a time like this?

@anonysquire: So I will likely be in bed once you get answers, so good luck!! I will be thinking of you and will check in later:)

Thinking of you @anonysquire - I'm sure everything will be great, and who knows maybe you'll get to meet your LO a little early!!
Guys I've seriously become a hermit - I've barely left the house in the past week, and I know I should be out walking around and making the most of my last few days/weeks as a non-parent but I just don't want to see or talk to anyone! What's wrong with me!?

@anonysquire: Not crazy at all, I would be feeling the same way!! Just try and stay relaxed, easier said than done I know

Not much going on here today, lots of contractions (no regular patterns), mucus, and maybe some bloody show? Just mild streaking, which from what I read means further dilation and effacement- progress I hope!
I had a mild panic attack last night over whether things were happening, and woke at 3:30 this morning worried about our son #1, so I called my parents to come into town to stay with us until my MIL arrives tomorrow night. We had a fun day of lots of walking, shopping, and playing, so definitely worthwhile even if baby dos doesn't arrive just yet. The peace of mind is so incredibly priceless!
@anonysquire: how scary, but getting checked will tell you where things are at. It is such a myseterious thing when everything is going to happen!

Here's a link to the arrivals thread I just started : http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/march-2014-arrivals
@lemondrop: oh hopefully things progress more soon! That's great that your parents were able to come out and give you some peace of mind! I've had a lot of mucus while wiping the past couple of days. I'm hoping it means something too!
I woke up at 3am with some pretty bad cramps...it actually woke me up! But after peeing and laying back down they went away and never came back.

Anonysquire has me all worried now! I've had increased CM these past few weeks but this morning when I got up out of bed I had quite a bit more fluid than normal - enough to go through my undies and onto my pyjama pants. I know its probably just more CM but its definitely a bit more liquid. I've been pee a few times since I got up and the fluid doesn't seem to be coming too quickly, no gushes or anything like that. Do you think its anything to act on? Due date is tomorrow, and I'm crampy but nothing I'd call a contraction.
WWYD?

@ScarletBegonia: it never hurts to check, and everyone is different, but I definitely could tell when my water broke last time, lots of small gushes when I changed positions. I have been having TONS of mucous the past few days and wonder the same thing every time I stand up and sit down, I'm in a constant state of crampy and damp, ugggh!
Let's get a move on kiddos!!
persimmon / 1339 posts
@lemondrop: Yeah I figured it would be a lot more obvious that what I'm experiencing. Crampy and damp...what a perfect descriptor for pregnancy! Yuck!
Maybe I'll give it a bit longer and see what happens. I'm going to go for a walk before it gets too hot, hopefully it will either stop (NO!) or get worse (YES!).
Good labour vibes to all of you!!

@ScarletBegonia: I just got back from my 38 week appointment and actually asked my doctor to check if I was leaking because I felt wet all day today, but had like no mucus on my underwear. My test came back negative, but it doesn't hurt to check! (well the actual test was NOT fun and did hurt a bit, but it's always good to be on the safe side with these kinds of things )
Since my doctor was checking to see if I was leaking fluid I had her check my cervix too. Still at a 1...maybe a 1.5 and my cervix still has a good amount of effacement to do. BUT he's super low...like down in my pelvis I guess. My doctor asked how I was still walking around! That explains the terrible back pain I've been having and at least it's for a good reason...but I'm not going to lie I'm a little disappointed I haven't dilated more in 2.5 weeks, which was one of the reasons I wasn't really begging to be checked, but I know it's not the tell all of when I'll deliver. It's finally starting to warm up here so we are going to take our dog for walks this weekend and I'm hoping it helps move things along.

@debbiei8: that's how I was my first time around- suuuuuuper low and at a 1-2. A few days later, POP! my water broke and he was out- hoping it happens as quick for you!
Good luck all! Let's get this show on the road!

@ScarletBegonia: Sounds like you're getting close. Crossing my fingers that your walk helps things along.
All this talk about dilation numbers has me so curious as to what I am. My doc doesn't do checks until 38-39 weeks so maaaaybe next week I'll get a number (hopefully not 0!)
So excited for you early March mamas!

@lemondrop: oh that's good to hear! When did you deliver your first? I'm trying not to get my hopes up over going early, but I really would like him to come within the next week! I keep thinking you'll be next...tell baby he can't hang out in there forever!
bananas / 9118 posts
@debbiei8: 39.1 with my first If we go by my doc's dates that's what I am today, if we go my mine that will be Monday. I'm hoping for tomorrow so my boys will be exactly 26 months apart

Hey ladies, just popping in to say I've been keeping up with this thread while nursing (when J is sleeping, playing ect) and I'm so ready to hear some birth stories and meet some babies! Sending you all labor vibes!!

@Mrsjets: hope things are going well!!
I did acupuncture today! I've been having cramps still and a lot of braxton hicks. Hopefully things are moving along. MW appt tomorrow, but I don't think I will get checked.

@Mrs. Champagne: was the acupuncture to get things going or for something else?
@Mrsjets: how are things going?

@fussygal: aww thanks for asking. It's going really great actually. I'm so scared to jinx it but Leah is such a dream baby - she eats well, sleeps well and when she's awake she is content to sit in her bouncy chair and watch. I don't know if this is normal because J was so hard - always crying unless we were walking/bouncing him. I wonder if its just her personality, because my milk came in so fast or if it has to do with her being born 2.5 weeks later than J.

Had my first cervical check today and I'm only dialated to a 1 and the doctor said that I'll probably go to (or past) my due date.
@debbiei8: I never got past 1cm in the 4 weeks prior to going into labor. I know that feeling of disappointment, but try not to let it get to you.
@Mrsjets: I still can't get over how you were an 8(!!) by the time you went to the hospital! How did you manage that pain?? I was a 3 when I got to the hospital after my water broke and I thought I was dying - haha! ETA: Precious!! So glad to hear that she's a dream baby. I really, really, really hope this baby will be the same because, like you, my first was SO difficult.

So I got an email from my second doctor this morning telling me she scheduled me for induction (if needed) on the night of March 22nd (my weeks turn over on Monday so I'll be just a day and half short of 41 weeks). She's on the next day and my doctor will be there the day after so she thought it would be the best time if I go overdue! Wow it's two weeks away! And I have an end date in sight! I would still like to avoid an induction, but if I have to have one I would much rather have one of the doctors I know really well there so I'm happy to have that date set. Now hopefully I don't need it
The email she sent me totally freaked me out though because she just put induction in the subject line and I my bp was a little on the high side yesterday when I saw her. But I figured if it was an emergency she would have called, lol.

@Mrsjets: oh my goodness she's a doll! From your thumbnail pic of J I can see a strong resemblance between the two! Glad to hear she's been an easy baby so far!

@Mrsjets: Precious! Glad to hear that she's being pretty easy so far (knock on wood!!). Hope J is loving being a big bro!

@debbiei8: it's nice to have an end date! I know I'm grateful for mine also.
@Mrsjets: she's adorable!

So I was going to try and work until I delivered, and at the latest stay through the end of the month, but today I'm officially letting them know that I'm going on leave in two weeks. So nice to have a date in sight for work ending!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@BabyBoecksMom: I'm dilated to a one as well, why did they say you would go to or past your due date?
persimmon / 1198 posts
@fussygal: I just told DH that I'm thinking about telling the family I nanny for that next Friday will be my last day. I'm still feeling pretty good for 38/9 weeks pregnant BUT the kids are on spring break starting on my due date and I'm just not sure I can deal with 3 kids and being overdue. But I'm only taking 6 weeks off (I don't get paid) so it's hard to decide what to do! I think I'm going to officially decide on Tuesday after my appointment.
@BabyBoecksMom: I'm definitely trying not to let it get to me! I'm really hoping that since his head is so low e will start triggering contractions/dilation soon!
@Dandelion: yes definitely nice to have!
GOLD / papaya / 10166 posts
@Bao: He said that in the 3,500+ births the's delivered, the mothers tend to deliver in the same time frame with each kid. ... but there's always a small chance she could come now, since I'm technically full term (I think he threw that in there so I would feel better - haha). My water didn't break until 40w,4d with W, so I'm pretty sure this one will be the same way.
