Mrs Jets - she is just precious!!!! Absolutely gorgeous and so calm-looking - just taking it all in!! My sister also had a hellion of a first baby and then the easiest second one! I think its pretty common from what my friends/family have said.
So, its my due date today and I'm sitting here ready to go to pilates, in other words NOTHING is happening. I had an emotional breakdown yesterday out of fear and exhaustion, and actually feel much better and calmer today I think because I got it out of my system. I'm still crampy but still nothing regular or lasting. Guess I'm headed for overdue! 40w apt is on Monday, we'll see what the midwives have to say then - I am going to demand an internal exam and a sweep!
I have to say although its been wonderful having a VERY extended mat leave in terms of keeping fit and relaxed, it gives me FAR too much time to think and I would think twice about doing it again! Quite a few times in the past 4/5 weeks I've wished I could be at work, just to keep my mind off things like labour and delivery!

Ugh, I'm having dull, period like cramps...been going on for a few hours, now. I can't tell if they're even anything worthwhile, but they are definitely uncomfortable. I'm drinking some water and seeing if I can hydrate them away.
LO is kicking around good while this is going on at least.

Nothing new today, I walked my butt off on Wednesday thinking it would do something, so I took a pity party yesterday since it was the same day Cam came. E is bouncing all over the place, random cramps, but nothing else going on. I took a shower, did my hair, and put on makeup today to feel better, but I'm totally faking it and wanna cry. Guess it's obvious because they are taking me out for my favorite Mexican food tonight... didn't expect to still be pregnant and thought I'd be having a margarita
I'm so dreading labor but so looking forward to it too! @Dandelion: same things going on here, so annoying! Hopefully yours chill out until it's the right time for you

The cramping is still going. I was told by the OB this week to call them if I have anything start happening (because of my history), but I don't know if this counts, cause it's really just dull cramping. Didn't have this with either S or DS, so I'm at a lost as to whether I should call or not.
It's been going on for over 4 hours, now.
You'd think I'd be a little less clueless about this by now!

DH is driving me there. Probably nothing and I told I'll feel bad for wasting his time and leaving the dogs alone for a few hours at night tonight but I guess we need to be sure.

@ScarletBegonia: I hear ya, it is the suckiest feeling that you are going to be pregnant forever, I've had a couple of those days lately too. Every day seems like forever, then they arrive and it is a complete blur! Soon you'll be holding your baby- I sooo can't wait to find out what it is!!

I finally got my car vacuumed and installed the car seat today! Yay! I felt ready for this kid before, but now I feel finished ready, haha.
Today I found some new-in-package a&a swaddling blankets at Goodwill for just $15! I was stoked! I had been wanting some, but couldn't justify dropping the full retail price on them. I'm super thrilled with my find!

Nothing new here today, contractions start up every time he moves, and boy does it hurt, but nothing in a regular pattern. So frustrating! My MIL says I've been going pale when they hit, but nothing has been enough to set me over the edge into labor yet.

Hey ladies, 40+2 here, had a midwife apt this morning & I'm 2cm and almost completely effaced. She said any minute now! She did a stretch & sweep and now I'm bleeding quite a bit and cramping some. Was cramping last night and thought it might be it but it stopped & I actually had one of the best sleeps I've had in months! Waiting game begins again....

Yes it hurt quite a bit!! It was one of those "it's not painful, just uncomfortable" things where you know it's actually going to be really painful! It's just a very strange feeling. But, TMI, I started bleeding almost immediately and have lost a couple of bits of mucous so I think things are heading in the right direction. She said they usually work in 24 hrs or not at all - so we'll see! The day's plans include lying in the air conditioning and analysing every twinge I have.
The plan is to induce @ 40+10. If nothing happens in the next couple days I see the midwife Thursday for another S & S, and then if still nothing happens I start induction proceedings on the 17th or 18th. -
Hi guys, sorry I have been MIA. My little baby, Zuma Preslie Anderson was born March 6 at 11:13PM. She was 6lbs 12ozs and 19 inches. She is incredible and such a diva already. She has already been to her Uncles' wedding luncheon and reception and has kind of stolen the show. Anyways I posted a birth story if anyone was wondering the deets
