@Dandelion - I think you are AMAZING - I only joined HB after you went through your loss so I only know what I've gathered from this thread and others I've stumbled across, but I just think you must be the strongest, more resilient person in the world. My thoughts are with you today and are seriously taking my mind off my waiting doldrums.
Speaking of waiting!! Still not much going on here at 40w5d. I lost another huge bit of mucous this morning after some serious and regular cramping last night...still came to nothing but I guess its good that stuff is still happening. I have a midwife appointment today for another S & S, we'll see if it yields any results! One thing thats a bit new is that my appetite has seriously dwindled - I don't feel sick exactly but I just don't and haven't felt like eating for about 24 hrs. I'm forcing toast and fruit down, because I know I will eventually need the energy, but blegh.

@ScarletBegonia: Ugh, how frustrating for you! this weekend is a full moon, so maybe it'll affect you and get your baby here!

@debbiei8: & @fussygal: We are still on hold, I talked with the charge nurse this afternoon and they are super under staffed today. She asked if it was ok to call any time and we said sure, so we are still on the list, and just trying to be patient. Trying for a date night tonight since tomorrow is our 4th anniversary and I may be in the hospital for it- otherwise if we don't get the call we will be walking him out at the zoo where we got married I cleaned the garage out again today even further than I did 2 weeks ago- just keep trying to get things moving!
@ScarletBegonia: You aren't the only one, my contractions get really annoying at night, I get my hopes up, then go to bed and they calm down again until the next night. Even "havin' a little fun" while executed surprisingly well, doesn't do what I was hoping for labor. Mucous just keeps dropping, but not enough apparently. One of my bff's growing up had her due date go by this weekend, so you really and truly aren't the only one- I REALLY hope you get to be the next one!!

Had our 38 week appointment today. I brought in our final birth plan to go over with the doc. Not sure why but I was super shy about bringing it in. I didn't want to be "that" person but at the same time it's my delivery and as DH said, "the doc gets paid well enough to handle it." Lol. It's really minimal - mostly just stuff I wasn't sure was standard procedure or not at our hospital. Turns out 99% of it is and our OB was super cool with everything and emphasized how it was OUR labor and delivery and we could ask for whatever we want within reason. That almost made me feel silly for even bringing it in, but I'm glad the nurses will have it on hand.
Next week I'm getting my first check to see how things are progressing. I'm very excited to (hopefully) have something exciting going on down there!!

@ScarletBegonia: I hope the S&S helped and you are in labor right now
@lemondrop: any news? Hopefully baby just decides to come on his own before they can get you in!
@fussygal: I think it's still good for everyone to have it in paper, but it sounds like you are delivering at a place that fits you well! I didn't do a birth plan...the biggest thing I want is skin to skin/breastfeeding right away. I don't really have much a plan past that...I just want to go with the flow. I mainly just want to avoid a c-section, but I won't be that upset if I end up with one either. Luckily my hospital seems right on track with my desires as well!

@debbiei8: nothing new, still holding. I just keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason, the hospital is busy for a reason. Walked 2+ miles at the zoo today, I swear it only makes this baby happier, he only gives me contractions when I sit still so that's my goal for the rest of the day.
Really, we've been making the most of this extra time, but neither of us are cut out for staycations and are going stir crazy. We had a great anniversary dinner last night and a nice family day today, but I want my damn newborn already
My SIL cracked me up when we told her his name, she said "does it mean stubborn and takes a long time?" Probably the most I've laughed in a long time!
Hopefully something is happening for @ScarletBegonia: the 13th is a great day for a birthday!!!

So.... I'm at the point where I can no longer sit upright without almost always being in tears from the pain of her being so low. Induction is scheduled for the 25th. I feel guilty and relieved.

@BabyBoecksMom: YAY!!! An end date/birthday- congrats!!! Trust me, I understand the guilt, but like my doctor said- you don't have to be a hero (you already are, you are a mommy)

@BabyBoecksMom: I hope that you get relief soon! It is good that you now have an end date. Perhaps your DH could get you a prenatal massage to help ease the pain... They are wonderful.
@lemondrop: Hope your LO gets a move on soon!

Hope more babes start arriving soon!
Had my 39 week appt today. The midwives were too busy to do a stretch and sweep because lots of babes are being born I guess? Kind of super annoying. My next appt isn't until 40+2 so they will try to fit me in over the next couple days for a membrane sweep.
I've been crampy for days and today I had more than usual.. but none right now. I also *think* I could have lost some of my mucus plug?? Saw it in the toilet, but it was white. Not sure if that's the right colour or not!! lol So glamorous!

@Mrs. Champagne: I think I just lost mine too. Or the majority of it! Mine was on the TP and was a clearish-yellowish color (there's no such thing as TMI here IMO LOL). I've had different contractions today that are starting to bother me more so I'm hoping it is soon!
@BabyBoecksMom: don't feel guilty! It's not good to be in that much pain! I hope she decides to show up earlier for your sake though!
@lemondrop: good plan, maybe he will get a move on it tonight

@autumnlove: thanks!
@BabyBoecksMom: don't feel guilty! Glad you have an end in sight, but hoping she comes before then anyway
@debbiei8: @Mrs. Champagne: yay for mucus plugs!! <---- weirdest sentence I've ever typed maybe?

Meet Aaron! He arrived today at 114pm. A dramatic, quick labour with stalled pushing phase requiring foreceps, but generally a very happy and adorable boy! Will update more later

I know you all probably know but Ella made her arrival two days ago. I was in labor 10 hours but only pushed 3 times so she was out so fast! I pushed almost two hours with Ava and I was so worried about that this time but I lucked out. I'm so exhausted but hoping the no visitors thing helps us catch up on sleep. We will slowly allow visitors this weekend though. She nurses like a champ which is great now we just need to work on her days and nights. Hope all you mommy's are doing well!
@ScarletBegonia: congrats!

@ScarletBegonia: oh my is he a cute baby! Congrats, can't wait to hear his story
@Bao: congrats again! Leah had been sleeping great but has been up pretty much all night for 2 nights now I'm not sure how to fix it.

@Dandelion: just catching up on the thread and wanted to give you big cyber hugs. I can't imagine how hard it was to get through the anniversary of S. Your story always makes me appreciate the sleepless nights. You are one strong momma

I had my appointment today. I'm 1 cm dilated, which means nothing. I also had my group b strep test done, which I guess I'll find out next week.
This OB said LO still feels breech...last week at the hospital, a different OB said he felt him head down. I guess it doesn't quite matter, cause I'm having a c section, anyways, but it's still kinda funny. Next week's ultrasound will give me a real answer.

@Dandelion: that's so interesting to me that they cannot tell which way he is! Where do you feel hiccups?
watermelon / 14206 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: he hasn't been hiccupping. These days he likes to stick a limb right out the side of my belly lol.
Maybe he just flip flops lol.
coconut / 8483 posts
@Dandelion: haha! i wonder where he is!! i keep having a knee or something stick out far on my left side!
Cramping again tonight.. I'm sure nothing will come of it as usual, but I like to think it's getting things ready for when he does decide to make an appearance!

I started a labor in progress thread too, but also wanted to update here Thundercats are GO! We'll probably be late tonight or early tomorrow since the hospital is slammed, but he's on his way!
Wishing everyone left tons of luck, I know how discouraging all this can be!

@lemondrop: Good Luck!!! <--- I wished this on your other thread but it doesn't hurt to say again! Can't wait to "meet" your LO.
@Mrs. Champagne: I am sure your LO will be here soon enough!

I have had more painful contractions since yesterday evening (after DH and I decided to try to speed things along). They aren't very regular though. Breathing through them is helping, but I'm not sure I actually have to breathe through them, although I have been doing it automatically so maybe I do need the breathing? I've also had some bloody mucus since yesterday evening. I'm almost positive I lost the majority of my plug Thursday afternoon and have had more mucus discharge since then. I'm kinda hoping we get to go in today! Hopefully the hospital isn't too busy with the full moon today!
