@anonysquire: He's breech, so yep. But, if I go into labor earlier, and he's still small, I'm gonna make sure that he's breech before they slice me open. If he's aimed right, I'll do it the old fashioned way, but stay monitored and get an epidural for just in case.

I worked all weekend and was up and down a lot (I work at a public library, so it's a lot of moving around, picking up books, helping patrons, etc). I was kinda hoping it would put me into labor, ha!

I did feel really uncomfortable yesterday afternoon in my lower back and front area. Not cramping, but just muscle pain I guess is the best way to describe it? When I got up to get water and walk around it didn't really go away, but it did lessen. I also woke up at 5am with cramping again that wasn't off and on, and it went away by the time I fell back asleep. So I'm not really sure what's going on. I'm hoping it's progression! My 38 week appointment isn't until Thursday since my doctor is at a conference this week. I'm guessing this is the week I go into labor since she's not here

We are just about finished with baby's room though! I just have a couple more things I want to hang up and I want to go through the closet and organize it a little better, but I bet it will be done by tomorrow evening. Then I just want to keep the house clean (our animals seem to constantly make a mess!). But I feel like I got a lot of stuff that I wanted to do before baby done. He can really come anytime he wants to now!

@scarletbegonia: oh don't feel bad that's what this thread is for You're almost there too! Aww, hormones are no joke and it sucks that your mom is so far away - totally cry worthy. I broke down yesterday because neither my sister or DH are able to come to my dr appt with me today. Luckily, DS will be dropped off with a friend and if labor happens both of them can leave work to be with me.

@anonysquire: oh no, how scary! They do sound like they're taking care of you though. Here's hoping you get to meet you're little bundle soon!

@dandelion: so.much.peeing! Sometime I have to go 15 mins later and it's like 2 ounces, ugh!

@debbiei8: yes, keeping the house clean/laundry done/groceries stocked is a big job. Hoping you're no too uncomfortable and LO comes soon!

Day 2 being overdue, dr appt in 2 hours...

Sounds like some of us are getting close!! I'm 37+5 and having cramps on and off but they aren't bad and no pattern. Also had a lot of BH yesterday. Hoping that at least means he won't be toooooo late... but first baby so who knows!! Officially on Mat Leave as of today!! Woooo!

@Mrsjets: we tried to buy a bunch of easy things at the grocery store. Our store was having a bunch of sales yesterday like a 10/$10 pasta sale and it got us $.10 off gallons if gas so we bought 10 to have. It's more than we will probably use this year but we have easy meals now haha! It might not be the healthiest couple weeks but at least we will eat!

I hope your appointment goes well today and you find out what's up with baby! I hope LO comes really soon for you!

@Mrsjets: hope you had a good appointment!

Crampy all day over here. Nothing too bad, just feels like light menstrual cramps. I feel like I might have this for weeks before baby! Oh well.. hope it means things are moving along.

Well she did a membrane sweep. Not much has happened since. I have a fetal assessment at the hospital on Friday, another appt booked with my dr for next Monday and if she's still not here they will schedule an induction on Tuesday for a day or 2 out. Blah!

@Mrs. Champagne: ugh that crampy feeling sucks but hopefully it's helping you along!

@debbiei8: I wish I'd have been proactive and done freezer meals. Oh well!

@Dandelion: Sounds good! Are you feeling ok lately? And how is the GD?

    @Mrsjets: Thanks! And you too!!!

@Mrs. Champagne: Same! Period cramps for days! And no way to time them because they are constant.

@Mrsjets: Good luck! Hope the membrane sweep end up doing something!

Wow you ladies have been chatting up a storm while I was away for the weekend! Luckily no baby while we spent 3 days at 5 hour away from our hospital. I was curious if someone else would have gone into labor while I was gone

Overall things are good but crampiness is still around, and I feel you ladies who were chatting about turing over at night - pure torture! I'm not sure if she's dropped yet, she's been pretty low the whole time but my belly definitely feels huuuuge. I haven't been able to eat big meals - there's just no room! While we were away this weekend we picked up a few last fun things for her including a unisex diaper bag that I love. Glad we agreed on one!

Has anyone made any freezer meals yet? This week my goals are hospital bag and yummy freezer meals.

@MrsRcCar: Oh no, I didn't hear about your numbness Hope the appt. was helpful.

@BAO I'm guessing I'll go late, pushing into early April. We'll see...

@scarletbegonia So close! Can't wait to find out what you team greenies are!

@lemondrop: Woah that's a serious cleaning binge! Sounds like if he does come in the next few days you're set!

@Mrs. Champagne: Hooray for mat. leave!!! Sorry about the cramps, I've been having that too and am so tired of it!

@fussygal: I made some freezer meals a few weeks back when I was feeling industrious. I have tons of pasta sauce frozen and ready to go. We'll be eating a ton of spaghetti that first month
@Mrsjets: I hope the membrane sweep kicks thing off for you! I'm secretly hoping for a stretch and sweep at my MW appt this Wednesday. We'll see.
@Mrs. Champagne: Welcome to Mat leave!! Put your feet up, get a pedi/mani/massage and enjoy your time!

My doula and MW are both back on call as of today, so now at 38+3 I'm on operation eviction. Spent some serious time on my yoga ball today, as well as a little 'special' time with DH hoping to get things moving. I'm going to brew some Red Raspberry Leaf tea tomorrow and start drinking it like crazy. I'm ready to be done!

Loving the updates ladies! My niece's birthday is March 4th and I was REALLY hoping that the cousins would share a birthday, but alas unless I go into labour immediately and have the fastest labour ever, it won't happen...its 2pm already on the 4th in Australia, so its not looking good. I went for a 5km walk today trying to speed things up - i'm pretty crampy but nothing rhythmic!
I've been passing the time making birth affirmation cards and trying to meditate/focus breathe a bit - not working!!
I made some freezer meals a few weeks ago - 2 lasagnes, 2 big servings of pasta sauce, enchiladas, and burritos.

@prettylizy: I've been drinking RRLT for a few days, now. I'm only 35 weeks, but since I know it doesn't work right away, I figured I might as well start, lol.

Last week was my last progesterone shot. I'm 35 weeks, now, so kid would be ok if he showed up. My skin is clearing up from it being out of my system. Little things to make me feel human

@Dandelion: nothing I'm doing is helping move things along, but I'm willing to try it all! Glad your skin is clearing up though

@fussygal: I haven't even thought about freezer meals, lol. I guess I just expect people to come feed me, lol. If not, DH knows where all the take out places are. I think I've done enough work preparing for this kid to come!

Is it possible to have your bloody show come out of your nose? Haha! I woke up to a bloody nose with a huge clot. I'm assuming it's because of pregnancy hormones and the weather here but I would love to say it's a sign labor is coming

@prettylizy: sorry to hear there's no progress yet. When did you go into labor the first time?

@Dandelion: yay for your last progesterone shot! Where do you get your RRLT?

@ScarletBegonia: hugs! sorry to hear your hormones are getting to you, but I would totally cry in your position. Hopefully the walking will speed things up.

@BabyBoecksMom: my water broke at 37+2 and she finally arrived on 37+4, so we were all expecting this little to come around the same time-ish. No dice and no signs so far. I feel like I'm over analyzing every twinge and wiggle right now!

  20. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@BabyBoecksMom: I've had a lot of bloody noses this pregnancy.

I got my rrlt at Earth Fare. They have a nice tea section there. You can probably find it at any health food store.

  21. bookwormmama

    persimmon / 1198 posts

@BabyBoecksMom: I got some RRLF tea at my Target! I have had small blood clots come from my nose for the past week when I blow it. I had a head cold for about a week and the weather is still disgusting here (aren't we supposed to have spring babies?!?!) so all the nose blowing as obviously irritated something in my nose too. I had some sinus pain when I was chewing my lunch on Saturday too!

@Dandelion: Yay for being done with shots! And for clearer skin!

@fussygal: Glad baby waited! We don't have the space for freezer meals, but we bought things that would be simple to make (like pasta and jar sauce, brats/french fries, soup, etc). We make pretty simple meals most nights anyways, so DH won't have a problem whipping something up quick if I'm busy or too tired. Plus we will get lunch meat and bread after he shows up for easy lunches/dinners as well.

Yesterday was the first day I will say I felt really crappy. I was nauseous off and on, had a little bit of a headache (I think from being tired) and occasionally crampiness (but of course nothing with a pattern). I had a bit of a freak out in the middle of the day when I felt like baby hadn't moved in a while, but when I poked him he would poke me back, and he kicked 10 times in less than 30 minutes, so I'm sure it was just me not noticing his movement. He definitely made up for it last night! I'm feeling nauseous again this morning and had some cramping when I woke up, but the shower made those feel better/go away.

@debbiei8: I have been having headaches and some nausea too and having to poke baby to move. No fun but we are getting there!

I borrowed a yoga ball from someone last night but it's a little small, it works but the one I had last time was much nicer. I wish it was nicer out so I could get walking to help things along but it's in the negatives lately, no thanks!

4cm this morning at 38+4 ish or 38+0 depending on what dates I go by (like it matters, he comes when he comes!)

At this rate of 1cm a week, we should have a baby by May My bp has spiked a little this week, but I'm still in much better shape than I was last pregnancy! I saw poor Katie Bower's photo of her feet on Bower Power's fb page, very reminiscent of my last pregnancy, so I'm grateful!

He's super active some days, other days he freaks me out I have to poke him so often! My mood swings so fast right now, one minute I'm fine, the next I'm super over everything. Meh, it can only go so much longer.

@lemondrop: 4cm! thats exciting.. isn't that pretty much in labour? hope things pick up sooooon!

  25. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@lemondrop: My swelling has been really good, too...I'm still wearing my rings! I know I was done with my rings by this time with S.

4cm is close! Like...any second close! I'm sort of interested to know my dilation, but with a planned c section, it's pretty pointless. If he comes before, he comes.

  26. prettylizy

    GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts

@lemondrop: 4cm! Go mama! I don't know if I'll get an internal at my MW appointment tomorrow but I'm almost afraid to find out I'm still high and not dilated at all

  27. Mrs. Champagne

    coconut / 8483 posts

@prettylizy: haha I'm afraid of the same thing! I think I will cry! They won't do any checks for me though unless they are doing a stretch and sweep.. and they don't do that till 39 weeks.. but that appt is the day before DHs HUGE work test, so they won't do it that day in case it actually works! So I will just have no idea where I'm at until 40 weeks I guess! lol

  29. Bao

@prettylizy: When you say still high, do you mean cervix? I never knew if it was supposed to get lower or higher towards the end...all that confuses me.

    bananas / 9118 posts

@Mrs. Champagne: @Dandelion: @prettylizy: @Bao: LOL, yeah the doc was pretty sure he'd come this past weekend, and was shocked to see me this morning. I never had this many internal checks last time, but man I do love hearing about progress, while it doesn't necessarily mean things will happen at any particular time it is encouraging! I feel like the little guy is doing this:

@lemondrop: 4cm!! Thats crazy - sounds like you might be the first March baby actually born in March! Although Mrs Jets has been suspiciously quiet for about 24hrs....
I had some on and off cramps and some serious #2s last night as I was trying to fall asleep - I got pretty excited but then things just faded away and I feel totally normal this morning My best friends birthday is Friday and she is convinced I will have the baby that day - husband is sure I will go late, and I'm leaning towards my actual due date.....I guess we'll just have to see!
Hope all you ladies are hanging in there. My pelvic pain is so annoying - it seems to just get better and worse randomly, and I can't tell what is going to aggregate it! So frustrating.

@lemondrop: yay 4 cms! Are you feeling lots of contractions? Our childbirth instructor said that's active labor, but it kinda sounds like you maybe aren't feeling a lot right now? I bet you'll be going in soon!

  35. lemondrop

    bananas / 9118 posts

Ah, you ladies make me feel so positive about all of this! Doc says it could still be a couple days though.

@debbiei8: it's on and off with stuff I can feel. It's consistently uncomfortable with a lot of pressure down there (the gotta poop feeling almost all the time) It starts and stops as he moves around, but no regular patterns at this point.

Last time my water broke and I started contractions a little over an hour later and got to the hospital at 6-7. He was out in under 8 hours. I'm nervous because my parents have to get here to watch C and they live an hour away. Worst case we have some backups just in case, but I'm sooooo nervous about when this whole thing is going to go down!

Hey hey ladies. Just popping in real quick to say Leah Elizabeth Jean was born March 4 at 4:14 am. 6 lbs 11 oz and 19.75 inches. She's awesome - a little bruised but she's a trooper. Labor was great and I'm recovering well - so much easier than last time! Wishing you all easy (or as easy as it can be), uncomplicated deliveries too.
