The past several nights I have woken up feeling bad heartburn, nauseous and period cramps. I wish this would progress haha.

I'm noticing that I'm hungry less, but when I am hungry I can put away gigantic meals. My abdomen is just so full of BABY that adding food to the mix makes me feel even more uncomfortable. Sometimes I feel blah after and sometimes I'm totally fine. Sigh...

@anonysquire: Ugh, rando symptoms are the worst How are you feeling otherwise?

  3. Mrsjets

    pear / 1699 posts

I'm extra hungry lately! I ate a healthy bowl of raisin bran for breakfast and then ate 2 pieces of peanut butter toast and s banana an hour later. Then I ate 2 pieces of French toast, a pear and a half and milk for lunch and I'm still hungry. I'm taking J outside right away to get my mind off food! No more carbs for me today!

@anonysquire: I feel you on the waking up like that...totally sucks

@BabyBoecksMom: ugh...I hear you! Well there's a new moon tonight and a full in 2 weeks so maybe you'll catch one of those! My pelvis is killing me too. LO dropped so low now so its gotten worse! Thank goodness tomorrow is March!

  6. ScarletBegonia

    persimmon / 1339 posts

@Dandelion: Pelvic pain, OY!! I was doing okay with it but in the last 2/3 weeks its gotten BAD - turning over in bed is torture!! I'm hoping it means the baby is nice and low and ready to go! Pilates has been helping a bit as well as sitting on the fit ball, but it always starts hurting again.
Team greening is getting so hard as well! Husband and I are getting SO impatient!

  7. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@ScarletBegonia: YES! Laying and turning in bed is the worst! It's sad, cause you'd think that would be the best part of the day. It is worse at night and slightly better in the morning, but it's still pretty awful. This kid has been low the whole time, so I've had some sort of pelvic pressure all through the second half of my pregnancy, but now he's LOWER and it's pretty miserable.

  8. ScarletBegonia

    persimmon / 1339 posts

@Dandelion: The other problem with the pelvic pain is that the one thing that everyone says will help with labour, sex, is NOT something I would like to entertain, as even keeping my knees apart hurts, let alone...well.....that. We haven't gotten busy in about 5 days and I know i should work on ripening that cervix but raspberry leaf tea is SO MUCH MORE appealing than sex right now!

  9. Mrsjets

    pear / 1699 posts

It's 4 in the morning on my due date and I'm up with heartburn, no real labor signs. Boo. I've been extra active the past week trying to get things going but here I am.

@Mrsjets: ah! I was hoping to wake up and find a birth in progress! I bet it'll be very soon!

    @Mrsjets: aww bummer!

  14. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

    @Bao: yay for March!

I think LO is back head down cause he's got hiccups right now and they feel like they're coming from the bottom. He may be a little crooked though. I don't have another ultrasound until the 20th so we'll see. Doesn't make much difference unless he comes in the next couple weeks. C section still is on for 39 weeks.

  15. bookwormmama

    persimmon / 1198 posts

@Mrsjets: hopefully it starts soon! How long will your doctor let you go over your due date? I know mine said a week, so if that's the case for you too, then it will be very soon!

@Bao: I rolled over this morning and told DH it's birth month! Then he asked, "Is he coming now?" HAHAHA...nope.

@Mrsjets: Hope your LO comes soon!

Hooray for all the March birthdays to come! I am so excited to see who's LO comes next!

We are finally settling into a great routine here. For us March is full of appointments for everyone in the house. Our appointments start with a well baby appointment for N then I have a Neuro appointment for the nerve damage in my leg from the epidural (or from being in stirrups). I am hoping to get a clear answer to the problem soon.

HELLLLLLLOOOOOOO MARCH!!! (not in real labor yet, don't get excited)

@debbiei8: mine just hit the husband hall of shame- he said maybe he would be an April baby... so I threw his shoes at his head.

  20. bookwormmama

    persimmon / 1198 posts

@lemondrop: HAHAHA. I am at work right now and literally just LOL'd at this...I'm sure the patrons around me think I'm strange.

@MrsRcCar: I'm glad you guys have a good routine going! But that's scary about the nerve damage. I hope things get figured out/fixed ASAP for you!

Oh and to update everyone on my IKEA/Expedit saga, my friend picked up everything on my list yesterday so we are set! Just waiting for her to come home so we can start putting things together!

  21. MrsRcCar

    grapefruit / 4712 posts

@lemondrop: I would have thrown shoes at him too! lol.

@debbiei8: I am hoping to get it fixed. Having a numb foot and lots of stairs at home makes things really interesting. Hope you get your delivery soon!

Is anyone having any signs of labor? Any guesses on when baby will arrive, early? Late? Right on time? I'm having lots of BH but that's it so far. I think she will come in week 39 sometime at least I hope!

  23. Mrs. Champagne

    coconut / 8483 posts

@Bao: plenty of BH here and some random light cramps. I think I will go late though just my prediction! DH thinks the 15th which is 4 days early and one day after his huge work test so that would be good! Haha

  24. MamaChin

    clementine / 830 posts

@Mrs. Champagne: is your husband taking the CAIA? That's what my husband is taking on the 14th and I'm due 3 days later so I hope baby girl holds on!!

As of last Monday girlfriend is still high up and my cervix is completely closed. I'm not having a lot of contractions either. Can't believe it's March already, hope everyone is feeling well!!

  25. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@Bao: I lost a piece of my plug yesterday, but since that was the only thing that has happened, I'm not holding my breath. However, I will be really surprised if we make it to the scheduled date. We have a couple inconvenient days this month, due to closing on a house, so he'll probably choose one of those days, haha.

  26. Bao

    GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts

@Mrs. Champagne: I'm feeling 16th maybe! @Dandelion: I've been losing pieces of something but with A it was one big piece so idk how to tell if these are parts of my plug or not

  27. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@Bao: Yeah with S it was one big thing, too.

  28. bookwormmama

    persimmon / 1198 posts

@Bao: my doctor/DH/mom think I will have him in the next week to week and a half. I think I've been feeling some BH the past couple of days where my belly gets really hard, but it seems like they last for a long time, so I'm kinda confused on if I'm actually having contractions or what the deal is. I've had some off and on nausea as well. I occasionally feel crampy down low too, but nothing that seems to be coming and going, just general crampiness. It has happened the past several mornings around 5am when I wake up to go to the bathroom.

I think there's a chance baby has dropped. A couple people commented on my belly looking different and I've had some hip muscle soreness. I haven't noticed a huge difference in how I feel though, so I'm not sure. But I'm pretty short, so there's a chance I might not notice him dropping?

Also he seems to be moving more...not like harder or faster, it just seems like movement lasts for longer periods during the day. Not sure if that means something or not, but I'm hoping!

39w appointment this morning and more of the same...happily blood pressure is low and measuring on track (belly hasn't grown in 2 weeks but has dropped), but no internal exam and no symptoms to speak of. I go to a crunchy granola birth centre so they don't do internal exams or anything until I'm overdue, which will be next Monday. I hope to go into labour naturally before then!!
Have any of you STMs taken evening primrose oil, orally or internally, to speed up effacement? I've been going strong with the raspberry leaf tea and sex (ugh) but wondering if I should be incorporating EPO as well? Any other words of advice?
Come on BABY!!!!! I need to know if I'm dealing with a penis or vagina in there!

  30. lemondrop

Having more uncomfortable contractions tonight, but it really reminds me of the nights leading up to my last labor, so I'm not getting excited about them yet. Yesterday I felt the need to clean out the entire garage, our shed, both of our cars, the kitchen, and C's big boy room, vacuumed the house, washed the windows, re-potted some plants, washed and made the guest bed, washed the dog, and did all of our laundry. Didn't do anything but make me sore and tired (hopefully more dilated too! we'll see on Tuesday)

@ScarletBegonia: no, never tried EPO, but I have a couple cups of RRL tea a day- I thought it was beneficial last time.

We were debating trying a little somthin' somthin' today, but weren't really sure how much we wanted to risk him arriving today, so I took a nap instead LOL

  31. Mrsjets

    pear / 1699 posts

@lemondrop: ha! I love it! and I thought I was nesting! Here's hoping those contractions turn into something

@ScarletBegonia: I haven't tried EPO, but I haven't tried RLT either. I hope you don't go over! I say girl

I have an appt tomorrow morning and will definitely be getting my membrane stripped. Fingers crossed it does something, I'm over this pregnancy thing!

Also I got my double stroller (contours options) on sale $100 off at babies r us today - if any of you Canadian Bees are in the market.

  32. ScarletBegonia

    persimmon / 1339 posts

@Mrsjets: I'm sorry to be complaining at 39w2d - when you are already overdue!! You poor thing.
I've cried about 6 times today - once when i couldn't find a parking spot near the birth centre and then full on sobbing when people tried to help me parallel park, and then several times during the oscars. Finally, when reading my mom's Facebook wall cause I wish she was here now when I'm going to be going into labour (eventually!!) but she's halfway around the world. I guess its just a teary day for me!!

  33. anonysquire

    @Bao: I'm starting to bet on a 43week baby. So April 10th

So a couple of weeks ago I was checked and was dilated to a 3 or 4 and like 60% effaced and a -2. Today I got checked and I am a 1.5 and 40% effaced. WTH? Why am I going backwards? I really might just start crying. Oh and I had a grape sized blood clot so that is why I was seen today. And they could not find a reason for it. So now I am paranoid, frustrated and just want this baby outside so hopefully it will be ok. UGH!!!

  34. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@anonysquire: oh man blood clots are scary! I hope your midwives are taking extra good care of you.

  35. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

This kid has really dropped now. I'm peeing so much...like once an hour! I'm only 35 weeks but I'm ready to be done...4 more weeks!

  36. anonysquire

    cantaloupe / 6923 posts

@Dandelion: Well they did let me come into their office at 1:45AM this morning.... so that was pretty nice of them. Ya the blood clot wasn't that cute. I just wish they knew for sure why I had it. Blah!!!

Woo hoo for 4 more weeks though!!! I have a little over 5 more weeks that will be the longest possible I can go (43 weeks). So I guess that is something to look forward to!

  37. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@anonysquire: Will they do some non stress tests or ultrasounds when you're close and over your due date?

  38. anonysquire

    cantaloupe / 6923 posts

@Dandelion: Is the non stress test where they have stuff strapped to your belly and you push the button when you feel the baby move? I had one of those this morning. And I had an ultrasound at 36 weeks but I doubt I will have anymore. The one at 36 weeks was not planned. I mean I am only 38 weeks today, so I really can't complain til I am actually overdue

  39. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@anonysquire: yep, that's the nst. Glad they're watching you.

  40. anonysquire

    cantaloupe / 6923 posts

@Dandelion: I really am thinking they are getting sick of me. I feel like I keep calling way too often And I keep googling like a maniac and coming to them with things I think I have and then I end up not having them. ANyways I am a mess.

How are you doing though? If you go into labor before the 39 weeks will you still have a CS?
