Ahh! I've been packing all morning in the hopes that Hubs feels better and I don't think he does! I forced him to take some DayQuil and now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed!

@silver1: ah sorry those didnt work for you. They were a game changer for me.
@Smurfette: yes!!!!!! Sleep!!!
@Mrs. Blue: we just went cold turkey to footie pjs and he slept great. First night he had a little trouble falling asleep but then was fine.

*cries* Hubs says he's too sick to go! Wahhh! I was really looking forward to a lake day!
I was thinking about just going without him, but with Xander being extra fussy lately, I don't think I could deal with his family trying to give me advice and baby-stealing. Ugh, I'm so disappointed.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: So I was looking at the on-line records for Xander, and I was totally wrong about where his weight percentile is. It's supposedly down to 17%, not 30% like I thought the pediatrician told me. He's also only gained 1.5 lbs in 2 months, just like R. Sooo... we're both in the same boat! My pediatrician didn't seem concerned at all though, so yay?

@Adira: Well that is good. We both have little peanuts! I am interested to see what her doctor says on Thursday.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Adira: L really slowed down in the last 2 months too. We have a scale at home so I know how much he's gaining and it isn't much right now. Must be normal.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Yeah, let me know what your ped says! Mine says it's normal for them to drop in percentile once they start doing the longer sleep stretches at night because they aren't eating around the clock like they used to be. I'm curious what yours says!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@travellingbee: Okay, so good to hear that another baby has slowed down too! It must be normal!!

last night, J didn't wake up at all... and i went to get him at 6:45 am - my boobs were rock hard in the morning. after i nursed him, i still pumped for just 5 minutes and pumped out 6 ounces.
he's been waking up after i wake up in the morning most days this last week. i guess this is the aftermath of the 4 month sleep regression! yesterday, he also took a 2.5 hour nap in the afternoon.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: WHAT!!! That's fantastic!!! Congratulations on the sleep AND the awesome amount you pumped!!! Woohoo!!!
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@Smurfette: that's awesome you got really great sleep!!! the result of sleep training? how's that going for you guys? and didn't you have to do it on your own cuz your hubs was gone too?
@Adira: oh nooo - a lake day sounded so nice!! it's so hard to be a parent and sick. hope your hubs feels better!! i'm so curious what J's percentiles are - i had to push out his 4 month appt 2 weeks because he's been sick.
here's a pic of J:

@Mrs. High Heels: OMG! Look at that HAIR!!! How did some of you ladies get babies with hair??? Xander's losing what little hair he has! And look at all his rolls! I'm so curious how much he weighs - he looks like a little chubster, which I love!!! And I LOVE that Pooh bear! I wish I had the forethought to take pictures of Xander WITH a stuffed animal or something so you could really see how much he's growing. Oh well.
Xander's been napping for over an hour, you guys!! Like, consecutively! I'm thinking he must be sleeping off the vaccinations he got yesterday!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: OMG with those rolls!!!! So adorable!
@Adira: L is losing in the back and growing on top! Lol
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@travellingbee: haha, Xander's losing it in the back too, but he doesn't appear to be growing anymore!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Xander finally woke up!! He slept for an hour and a half! My guess is it's because of the vaccinations he got yesterday. I'm curious how he'll nap later.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
And he's started squealing!!! He's testing out his lungs right now and it hurts my ears!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Adira: aw!!! So cute!
Lukas slept almost 2 hrs again! Woohoo! And... I *think* we have a tooth coming through.

We were just taking their 3-month pictures, and Finn just rolled from front to back for the first time while they were taking his picture!
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@Adira: @travellingbee: both of my kids came out with so much troll hair!! but his is falling out too, so it's thinning out and he has tufts of hair at random places. his is mostly balding in the back too, but his sideburns are still intact. i think i'm going to shave it all off soon, esp since it's getting so hot now. and you guys both got awesome nappers today!! i just put J down for his afternoon nap so hopefully he follows suit.
aww look at xander's face - he's loving his thumb!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Mrs. Blue: What?! That's awesome!!
I take back the tooth. I just got a better look at it and I think it might be one of those calcium deposits.... can't tell. I can;t find any pictures on the internet to compare it to.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Mrs. Blue: That's awesome! Go Finn!! And I can't wait to see one of the pictures!
@Mrs. High Heels: We only had one good nap. The second one was only 35 minutes. And he has another nap coming up soon, but I suspect it will be short.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: I am love with that hair and chubby ness!! That is awesome you got so much sleep!!
@Adira: that picture is beyond adorable! Side note my iPhone just tried to auto correct adorable to Adira!
@travellingbee: That is a great nap. I wish we got those but she saves them for day care.
@Mrs. Blue: do you mean 4 month? So exciting! I thought R was going to roll back to front at the Bee meet up but she stopped and went back to her back.

So... I feel so bad. Hubs and I weren't taking proper care of Xander's circumcision (you have to make sure you push the skin back or else it will start to reattach) and part of it was reattaching, so we had to pull it apart tonight in his bath. It's now all raw and red... poor little guy! He didn't cry when we did it, but he was kicking his legs like mad. I feel so horrible.
But on a happier note, I love it when I read "I Love You As Much..." by Laura Kraus Melmed! He always looks up at me when I'm reading the "I Love You" line! It's like he knows what it means and wants to see me saying it to him.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@Smurfette: haha...yeah, we'll, we were planning on Doug them at three-months but then my MIL wanted to go, so I guess it is pretty much 4-month pics!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: Poor guy! My cousins daughter privates grew together and had to get them surgical opened back up. Crazy huh!! And yes, we do talk too much. Too cute about the book. We need to be better about reading to R. She is just so fussy after her bath we go to nursing to bed.
@Mrs. Blue: we are getting 4 month pictures tomorrow. As long as the photographer still wants too since the weather is craptastic here. We will probably wait and take our 4 month picture with her month stats on the chalkboard next weekend
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Okay, wow, that's worse! How does that even happen?? So scary! Guess Xander's lucky, in comparison.
I only just recently got good about reading to Xander every night. I know how a whole bedtime routine that I stick with, which I'm pretty proud of myself for doing. I definitely think it helps get Xander to bed. The other night when he was super fussy, we didn't do it, and he didn't go to bed well at all. Ooops! BUT, Hubs won't read to him! So I always have to do the bedtime routine!
Xander's usually in a good mood after his bath, or at least fairly mellow, but I think our messing around with his private area made him surly, haha. He was pretty much glaring at me the whole time I was drying him off!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: I guess it happens, rare, but it does. Crazy. I think she is so fussy after bath cause we do it right before bedtime. Probably need to move it up 5 mins, so we can do bath, nurse, book, then bed. Lately she just gets so mad cause we put saline in her nose and use the Frida and she screams and screams. Poor thing.
@Mrs. High Heels: Sleep training is going way better then expected. She seems to get it. Tonight she fell asleep within 10 mins and didn't even fuss that much. So far the only time she has really cried is this morning when she woke up and we left in the crib hoping she would go back to bed since it was 730. We were hoping when she fell back asleep at 630, she would sleep longer.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Does R always go to bed at the same time? We still don't have a set bedtime for Xander - it all depends on his last nap and when he nurses in the evening. But yeah, if she's hungry after the bath, that could explain it!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: We try and do bath at 645 and then I nurse for 20-30 mins. She usually naps on the way home from DC, so it is a little after 5 when she wakes up when we get home, so we can't do it any later. Tonight her and I got home at 545 from the meetup, and she slept the way home, but she was so cranky, so everything was started 20 mins early.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: How was the meetup? Had you been to one before? I wish all the March ladies lived in the same area so we could all meet, haha.
Has R gone to bed for the night already? How did it go? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get another good night of sleep!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: I meet a couple ladies for lunch in April. This one three came from TN. It was fun. Nice putting faces to the names. I wish we could all meet too!
She was out a little after 7. Some fussing but nothing bad at all. I think she was so tired didn't fight it. All her naps were in the car seat today cause we were gone most of the day. Have to make sure she naps good tomorrow since we ate getting her pictures taken at 530 since the photographer likes that sunlight.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: I hope you both get some decent sleep tonight! And since you need R up at 5:30 tomorrow, you know she's not going to sleep all day and only JUST go down at 5:00 tomorrow.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: Seriously! We already scheduled her 8 month for November, lucky that will be 330 since the time change will have happened. Course watch then that will be her nap time.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Well, we're visiting my family tomorrow and I'm a little nervous because he's been so fussy lately. Hopefully it goes well. Hopefully your photo shoot goes well too!
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Smurfette: So glad to hear R's sleep is getting better. We are back to two night wakings, but that is bound to be disrupted as we head back to my mom's tomorrow.
@Adira: Hope your visit goes good tomorrow. I'm sure he will be a perfect gentleman. We had a family/friend BBQ today so that everyone back at DH's home could meet issac today. He was overtired and overstimulated and was still such a charmer. That sucks about the circumcision. I have been son diligent about this as the nurse kind of scared me about what could happen if I didn't.
@Mrs. High Heels: Look at all that hair! What a cutie.
@Mrs. Blue: Congrats on the roll! I bet your pictures are going to be awesome! I get to see our 3 month ones tomorrow and I'm so excited.
@travellingbee: I hope it isn't teeth. I think it is too early! Everyone keeps asking if Isaac is teething since he is so drooly, I sure hope not, I'm not ready.
One tired baby makes for a nursing marathon. Hopefully he sleeps well tonight.
Tonight is our last night with DH for just under two weeks. At least this stretch is a lot shorter. We are heading back to my moms tomorrow and DH will be going back to work. It has been a great two week vacation, but it went by too fast.
