How far along? 14 weeks (well on Sunday)
Gender: find out sometime around 20 weeks. Can't wait
Total weight gain? 4-5 lbs
Maternity clothes? Pretty much all my work pants are maternity, only have 3 so far. Wearing a maternity jean skirt today. A find let me borrow a big bag of clothes. I need to go and get some jeans.
Stretch marks? Nope, hope it stays that way.
Belly button (innie/outie)? innie
Sleep? Still not good, unless I take something to help me sleep. Getting up a minimum of 2 or 3 times a night to pee. I do sleep much better on weekends.
Best moment this week? Getting the news that the first trimester screening came back normal. So relieved!!
Worst moment this week? Felt off the last couple days, not really nauseous but not feeling normal.
Miss anything? Cold turkey sandwich and beer.
Cravings? None, but I still love my carbs and fruit.
Most worried about? That I am going to do something wrong to hurt baby.
Most excited about? Feeling baby move and finding out the gender.
Struggles? Keeping my mouth shut. Not telling everyone, including work, till I tell my extended family next weekend. I can't wait, they are going to be so excited.
Movement? Nothing yet.....so excited for it.
Nursery progress? Nothing....waiting till we find out the sex and hopefully we find a house soon.
Names picked? Not talking names until we know the gender. But I have my top girl and boy name already.
Milestones? 2nd trimester!!!

@tororojo: Yep, CDing all the way! I'm building a stash of a few different highly-rated brands, so far I have BumGenius and GroVia.
I know it's early to start working on the stash, but I figured it would be less of a shock to the wallet (and DH) if I buy a little at a time. I'm stalking sales and buying 2-3 at a time when I find a good deal.

Yay, a survey! I'm in:
How far along? 12 weeks tomorrow
Gender: Nov 12
Total weight gain? ~8 lb
Maternity clothes? A girlfriend let me borrow a box, so I’ve got a couple pairs of pants I've been wearing. If it didn't have stretch before, it certainly isn't fitting now.
Stretch marks? Nope, but I have some rare skin issue going on called CARP. It's ugly but benign
Belly button (innie/outie)? innie
Sleep? Pretty solid. I get up once a night (sometimes not at all!) and am making sure I go to bed early enough to get 7-8 hours
Best moment this week? u/s on Thursday and telling the fam!
Worst moment this week? A little carsickness, but not bad at all.
Miss anything? Blackberry margaritas.
Cravings? None. Everything is palatable so I'm eating healthy again. Just frequently.
Most worried about? Not much right now, maybe just some second or third trimester rare issue. But I’m focusing on the positive.
Most excited about? Being 12 weeks! The farthest I’ve ever made it and everything looks great! I finally feel calm.
Struggles? Finding things that fit!
Movement? Nothing yet and probably not for awhile. I was told the placenta is between the fetus and my stomach, so that will affect how long it is until I feel movement from the outside.
Nursery progress? Not even going there for months.
Names picked? We have names we like but won’t be picking anything for sure for quite awhile. Feels pointless to talk about it until we know what we're having.
Milestones? 12 weeks!!!!

How far along? 16 weeks
Gender: No clue - will schedule anatomy scan for October
Total weight gain? 4.5 lbs
Maternity clothes? Belly Band for my pants + 4 new shirts
Stretch marks? I haven't noticed any yet...
Belly button (innie/outie)? Still an innie!
Sleep? Well, I wake up in the middle of the night to pee, but other than that, seems good.
Best moment this week? Shopping for maternity shirts!
Worst moment this week? Noticing the FIVE NEW ZITS on my face! Thanks pregnancy hormones!!!
Miss anything? Normal bowel movements and uninterrupted sleep! And a glass of wine!
Cravings? I haven't really noticed any cravings.
Most worried about? Just having a healthy baby
Most excited about? Finding out the gender!
Struggles? Getting the motivation to go to the gym, haha.
Movement? Nothing yet
Nursery progress?I've thought about cleaning the room out... does that count?
Names picked? Alexander or Kaelyn
Milestones? Happily into the second trimester!

How far along? 14 weeks today
Gender: Not finding out!
Total weight gain? -1
Maternity clothes? I haven’t gained weight but everything has shifted around and nothing fits. Most of my pants are maternity but my regular shirts aren’t long enough to cover the front panel so my clothes are just awkward and it’s frustrating.
Stretch marks? No more than usual
Belly button (innie/outie)? Innie
Sleep? Some nights are good/some are bad. My peeing at night has calmed down to 2-3 times versus 5-6 times so I’m thankful. But my allergies have kicked into high gear and I’m without my precious Claritin D so I’m pretty much blowing my nose the whole night.
Best moment this week? Making it to the 2nd trimester!!!
Worst moment this week? Ridiculous allergies and really attractive acne.
Miss anything? All the pumpkin beers are out now and I’m bummed I can’t have one.
Cravings? Sweets. I’ve never been much of a sweet person. Other than that, NOTHING sounds good to eat and that is frustrating!
Most worried about? Just having a healthy baby
Most excited about? Being a momma
Struggles? I need motivation to be more active.
Movement? Not yet
Nursery progress?I've picked out the crib sheets I want, although the theme keeps changing
Names picked? We have a boy name and a potential girl name but we aren’t telling.
Milestones? Finally hitting the second trimester!!!

@Adira: Great idea for a list. I am actually March 27, but no need to change just for one day.
In other news, I had my second midwife appointment today. All is well! Heartbeat was heard, at 160. Yay!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: Looks great! Thanks for doing it.
@aprk: Yay! For healthy heartbeats!!!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@aprk: While I can still edit it, I'm more than happy to fix it!
Congrats on your midwife appointment!!! Was this the first time you heard the heartbeat?? Sooooo exciting!!
pomegranate / 3452 posts
@Smurfette: @adira: yep! thanks we saw the heartbeat last time, but this was my first time hearing it. Big sigh of relief.

Ugh, so Hubs and I finally started our daycare search. The daycare I really wanted to go to is BOOKED until the fall and they already have six people on the waiting list, so they wouldn't even add us! I know of three places that have openings, but two are SUPER expensive and I've heard bad things about the other, so I don't know what we're going to do! We're going on the 28th to tour a few places, but it looks like we'll be spending more on daycare than we wanted to.

@Adira: We're date twins now! My due date changed again, LOL! Honestly, I think it's going to change AGAIN though, so whatever. My new due date as far as I'm concerned is "Sometime in the first week of March."
That really sucks about the daycare! That always baffles me, the baby is still inside your freaking uterus and it's on a waiting list for daycare?! Crazy!!!! I'd just keep calling once a week and asking if you can get on the waiting list yet. Eventually you'll annoy them into submission
@aprk: Awesome news on the the appointment! Woohoo!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: Sorry!! I need to start looking. I don't even know where any are near us. I was going to wait cause I was hoping we would have found a house by now. Looking more like we are going to sticking in our condo for a while. I am not happy about it.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Mrs. Mousie: Yay!!!! Date Twins!!! Although regardless of our due date, we probably won't give birth then, haha! It'll be interesting to see how close we come!
haha, seriously, this daycare business blows! And then I have a friend scaring me about one of the few daycares that DOES have an opening! Gahhh! I did ask my preferred daycare and they did say I could always transfer to them later, so I'm thinking I'll put the baby in one of the more pricey daycares to start and then just switch them when I can.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Awww, boo!!!! Sorry you're going to be stuck in your condo for a bit longer!
I used this website to search for daycares in my area: http://www.naeyc.org/accreditation/search - it'll show all accredited places in your area I think. It won't show EVERYTHING that's available, but it'll at least be a good start for you!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: Thanks! I will check that out. I wish that I could just convince DH to start looking in other areas. But no, he has to stay in the city!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Oh shit, when does everyone start researching daycares? it feels really early. Is 12-13 weeks about the right time? Geez louis.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@blackbird: I had heard that the daycare I wanted filled up really quickly, so I started last calling places last week (15 weeks) and doing research before that. I think it probably depends on where you live though and how many options you have probably. It doesn't hurt to start researching now and calling around! You'll want a good idea of when you're looking for though. I know I can get 12 weeks maternity with my company, so I've been telling daycares I'll need care the end of April/early May, depending on when the baby comes. And I've been asking about part-time vs. full-time because I haven't decided if I want to wait three-days a week or all five.

@Aidra: I've been away for a bit, but am back now:) MY EDD is 3/25. Even though I KNOW when I ovulated and it shoudl be 3/21, I'll stick with what the doc's are saying based on LMP.

How far along? 13 weeks!
Gender: Find out October 30th!
Total weight gain? ~6 lb
Maternity clothes? One pair of pants for work, mostly using dresses during the week and my BellaBand if I wear jeans on the weekend. Mostly just doing a lot of yoga pants:)
Stretch marks? Not yet! Starting lotion this week to try and prevent!
Belly button (innie/outie)? innie
Sleep? I'm getting pretty good at not even opening my eyes when I pee at night:) I probably go 2-4 times a night but it really isn't disrupting my sleep. Now that I'm not freaking out over staying on my left side I'm sleeping much better.
Best moment this week? last friday we did our NT scan and it was INCREDIBLE! Baby was moving around like crazy, sucking its thumb and the tech said it was really "hamming it up" for us. I couldn't get over how it really looks like a baby now!
Worst moment this week? Argument with DH- over it now but I went off the deep end.
Miss anything? I have a deep desire for hot dogs which is weird because I never really ate them before pregnancy.
Cravings? Fruit, fruit, fruit! And yogurt! I guess there could be worse things, right?! Now that I'm not feeling so nauseated, I'm really focusing on eating clean and healthy and not as much processed food.
Most worried about? We just found out that DH got a promotion and we're moving so I'm really worried about not beign settled in a new house by the time that baby comes. We're moving to my hometown where my parents still live so it's not like I won't have anywhere to stay, but I really would like to be settled and in our own house by the time he or she gets here. Oh, and we need to sell our current house- LOTS of transition right now!
Most excited about? The SECOND TRIMESTER! It was fun telling people this weekend and now I'm just excited to find out the gender!
Struggles? Staying motivated at work! Now that we're moving I'm 100% sure I won't stay at this job much longer so it's hard to keep motivated
Movement? Nothing yet but anxiously awaiting it!
Nursery progress? No point now that the move is in progress
Names picked? DH won't talk about it until we know the gender, but we both like Charlotte for a girl- just based on pre-pregnancy convos.
Milestones? A good NT scan and the second tri!

Okay ladies, bump photo time! This is a TERRIBLE picture of me, but it shows how prominent my bump has become!
cherry / 167 posts
@Aidra: You look GREAT! I love baby bumps
@CookieZombie: YAY Date twin! How are you feel now that we're in the 2nd Tri??
apricot / 286 posts
@Adira: You look great!!
@MrsLMA: Are we in our 2nd tri already?! My babycenter app says my 2nd tri starts next week! I feel fat, otherwise normal. I haven't told work yet...really dreading that. UGH.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@cokiezombie: I was scared to death to tell work (I told them at 14 weeks), but they took it really well and were all really excited for me. I hope the same goes for you!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@cokiezombie: Most say week 13 is the 2nd tri but I went by the babycenter app too, 14 weeks. I haven't told work either. Going to on Monday. Want to tell all my family this weekend first. I am scared. I have a new boss, a guy, and I can't get a reading on him. He doesn't have any kids.
cherry / 167 posts
@CookieZombie and @Smurfette: Good luck telling your bosses! Once it's done you'll feel much better and let those bellies show!:)
I told my boss early on (8 weeks) bc there were other circumstances that forced me to- and I got to tell him last week that I'm leaving because DH got a promotion of of the area... At least the pregnancy announcement somewhat softened that blow:) Luckily they asked if I'd just work remotely until they find a replacement for me. And they're not going to start looking for another month or so. I'll be surprised if I'm done working before I would have gone on maternity leave! SCORE! Working in PJs once my bump is huge sounds AWESOME!

I know we're not THAT far along yet, but has anyone's friends or family talked to them about baby showers yet? This is our first child, and so I'm really HOPING that someone throws us a baby shower, but no one has mentioned anything to us yet. I'm wondering if it's just too early...?
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: I haven't told my whole family yet, but I am going to assume one of my Aunt's, cousin or sister will throw me one. I would be disappointed if they didn't. Then my group of friends always throws one for each other. So I am going to assume that I will have both. I think once we find out the gender, people will start talking about it.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Yeah, I'll be disappointed too if someone doesn't throw me one! I'm assuming my mom might since this is my parent's first grandchild, but I don't really know since she hasn't said anything. Also, all of my family lives out of state, so I'm not actually sure if a shower would even make sense. All my cousins that have kids have had showers, but they all live near each other, with us being the ones that have moved away. Oh well, guess I'll just wait and hope for the best!
apricot / 286 posts
@Adira: My sister-in-law is already talking about the baby shower, which will most likely happen in late January. I think it's a bit too soon to talk about that right now, but it makes her excited so I just let it be..
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@cokiezombie: haha, okay! So maybe I shouldn't worry yet that I haven't heard anything. I was thinking mine would probably be in January too (assuming someone hosts it), so I guess there's still plenty of time!

Has anyone started using stretch mark cream yet?
I purchased the Bella B Tummy Honey Butter from Amazon based on the recommendations and after a few nights of using it, I woke up this morning to little red bumps and my tummy is extremely itchy... ......... I'm pretty sure it's an allergic reaction, so I need to find something else now.
cherry / 167 posts
@Aidra: My MIL asked if she could throw me a shower, and I know my mom and aunts will have one, but no one is really talking about it yet. My sister is 8 weeks ahead of me and we JUST set a date for her shower at the end of October. I wouldn't worry too much.
@CookieZombie: I've read (though not sure how reliable it is) that any moisturizer is better than nothing. I know there are brands that specifically target maternity stretch marks, but my doc told me to just use my regualr Jergen's or Neutrogena in the evening and AM if I'm worried.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@cokiezombie: I haven't yet but I am going to order something. My MIL is an ER doctor and she said it really is hereditary but as long as you gradually gain weight, it should be that bad. Said that anything with Vitamin E is the best to use. Not sure what I am going to order/buy yet.
grapefruit / 4669 posts
@cokiezombie: From what I've read, stretch marks are genetically determined and based on how fast you grow/whether your skin has time to compensate--if your mom has them or if you have them in other places from puberty, you'll probably get them no matter what. Even so, I've been rubbing Cetaphil on my belly after I put it on my face in the morning. It's the only thing that keeps my elbows moisturized, so I figure it's my best bet on the tummy as well. I'm sorry you're having an allergic reaction to your cream! My dermatologist recommends Cetaphil or Neutrogena for sensitive skin, or maybe Aquafor would be good?
