Just had our anatomy scan yesterday and found out we are having a GIRL! I'm so excited because I really wanted a boy and a girl. I would've been happy with another boy, but I couldn't help but want a girl:)
Now its time to browse for nursery inspiration! -

Hi everyone - I just joined this site. I'm due March 21st with my first! Hoping to learn a lot and get advice/ideas.
How far along? 15 weeks
Gender: find out November 6th!
Total weight gain? 8 lbs
Maternity clothes? All pants are maternity and a few shirts, too
Stretch marks? None
Belly button (innie/outie)? innie, although not as much as before
Sleep? Get up at least 1 time a night to use the bathroom but fall right back to sleep.
Best moment this week? Hearing the heart beat on doppler
Worst moment this week? Not having much patience
Miss anything? Not yet
Cravings? None
Most worried about? Keeping baby healthy - I need to eat more veggies!
Most excited about? Finding out the gender
Struggles? Staying focused at work - I like all the baby websites
Movement? Not yet, but hoping it's soon!
Nursery progress? Cleared out the closet in baby's room
Names picked? We have some, but keeping them secret until baby is born.

I'm due March 9th, 2013! It will be our first and it's a baby Girl!
We had a M/C in April (we were TTC) and I didn't share it with people IRL, so I've found the internet to be a great source of information and support. So glad we're all in 2nd Tri now! -

Hello everyone! I'm due March 3 as well.
How far along? 17 weeks
Gender: TBD at anatomy scan on 10/10!
Total weight gain? 5lbs at 15 week appt...I don't own a scale.
Maternity clothes? Three pairs of maternity jeans and two tops so far
Stretch marks? No new ones!
Belly button (innie/outie)? Still innie
Sleep? I am still sad that I can't sleep on my stomach anymore. The Snoogle helps a little, though.
Best moment this week? Husband coming home from a business trip!
Worst moment this week? Always feeling bloated
Miss anything? Lox! Desperately.
Cravings? See above. Plus apples.
Most worried about? Health of baby
Most excited about? Anatomy scan
Struggles? Staying awake in the afternoon.
Movement? Maybe? Nothing major, clearly.

@mamachamp: The APA recommends on that link to avoid refrigerated, smoked seafood (like lox at grocery stores) for listeria risks. I wonder, though, if I can eat the lox-flavored cream cheese from the grocery store? That might solve the craving, at least!

@mole: You could probably microwave the lox to steaming to kill any potential bacteria and then eat it. I've been thinking about doing this because I LOVE turkey on my morning bagel and I miss it!

Popping in to update this thread cuz i just did the april thread.
I got that awful call from my doctor monday that some of my test results came back funny for my NT exam. So i was scheduled for a CVS on Wednesday because she's concerned about Turners Syndrome (based on the bloodwork). I should get prelim results on Friday. So nervous/anxious! But if all is well (and 95% chance or so it is), I'll know the baby is healthy and it'll have a gender, too!

Seriously. She's taking it very seriously b/c this is my third pregnancy, which is good...but also makes for extra concerns b/c I don't know if chromosome issues have been an issue in the past.

@smurfette - They actually told us at our 12 week scan and reconfirmed it this week. I think my Dr. has a really good machine b/c my other friends found out at 10, 11, and 13 weeks too!
@mole - I'm doing this kind of list weekly on my blog too! I'm scared to eat smoked salmon as well, b/c of all the warnings. But ooh, how I love smoked salmon!

@blackbird: yay congrats to team pink!
You guys .. remember my struggle to tell my boss coz I know he won't be happy? Well I finally told him today, right before lunch. I had to read Mrs. Blue's post on "telling your boss" and kept reminding myself her tips (don't apologize, don't say you'll take the least amount of time possible..).
When I closed the door behind me to his office and sat down, it was kind of akward. And when I broke the [happy] news, he literally put his forehead on his table (as to be funny, i guess...). He congratulated me and told me he actually had an intuition about it a month ago, and I joked that his team is very fertile (which is also kind of ironic because him and his wife ended up adopting after their struggle with infertility). I reassured him that I was still committed to my role and the team and will do everything possible to make the transition smoother when I'm on leave.
So now the weight has finally been lifted off my shoulders! A huge sigh of relief. Whether I still get my promotion next year, I cannot control..so I just need to stay positive and focused on what's to come - the baby!!

Has anyone felt any movement yet? I think maybe I have, but I'm not sure. It just feels like little gas bubbles in my stomach popping, but I'll feel it on an empty stomach, so I'm not sure... what do you guys think?
