@cokiezombie: Same here. I'm nine weeks tomorrow and I feel very... thick.
I bought a couple pairs of jeans in a size up, because I figure I'll be wearing them after the baby gets here as well.

@Arden: I just can't imagine that at only 8-9 weeks preggo that I can't fit into my 'fat' jeans... imagine when we hit our 2nd/3rd tri. Sigh.

@Adira: Wearing my belly band today for the first time. So glad that I bought one cause there was no way these pants would have buttoned on their own today. Although I worried my shirt will come up a bit and someone will see it. So comfy!!

@Smurfette: Isn't it??? I'm wearing mine today too and I LOVE it. My shirt doesn't hide the bottom hem of the Belly Band, but it looks like I'm wearing a tank top under my shirt, so I'm not too concerned. Hopefully that's what people think for you too if your shirt comes up a bit.

@Adira: Good point! Seriously so much more comfy then trying to button pants with this bloat. I think that I need to go buy a white one for vacation next week with shorts and shirts

@Smurfette: Yeah, definitely! I have both a black and a white one, so I'm hoping I'm good for all occasions!

Thank you all for your thoughts and support. I'm pretty much a clockwork 28 day cycle so I doubt I would have ovulated that late. I have bloodwork at the end of the day Wednesday and think I wont' likely hear anything until Thursday. I'll let you know as soon as I do.

@Adira: Did yours roll up from the bottom? It isn't staying in place. I have pretty wide hips so maybe it just needs to stretch out some.

  9. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Smurfette: Mine does roll up from the bottom because I also have pretty wide hips. But I also just sit in a desk all day, so I just fit it when I stand up. I've rolled mine in half, so both ends are at the bottom (around my hips). Seems to be working okay.

@Adira: Good so it just isn't me. I will try rolling it and see if it helps. I am sitting at a desk all day too.

@Smurfette: The way I put mine on was inside out, and then I pulled the excess on top down so that it was folded in half with both "ends" being around my hips. I think doubling it up helps smooth out my unbuttoned pants and make things more secure. Hopefully that works for you too.

Hi ladies! I've been gone for a while but wanted to pop back in and say hi!

1st- browsquirrel and savanarunner, you are both in my thoughts. I've been through the hell of having to wait for lab results and I feel for you. ((((hugs)))

2nd- thank god that I'm not the only one feeling HUGE right now! I'm 8weeks 5 days right now and even my loose pants were SO tight yesterday... I just feel like it's SO early! I feel like I'm so thick through the middle right now- like even the area around my ribs/back seems so much wider than normal. I also feel like I'm gaining weight, but mostly because I'm SO constipated! I have to eat every couple hours to keep the nausea away, but (TMI ALERT) nothing seems to be coming out!! It's a wonder I haven't gained like 20 lbs!!

I'm feeling extra crummy this week- it's a double edged sword because I really want to feel better, but it makes me less nervous about things when I'm feeling sick!

@MrsLMA: The constipation bug hit me last week after I started Zofran. I started drinking TONS of extra water (like way more than 8 glasses a day), upping fruit and veggie intake (green smoothies give you lots of bang for your buck and don't make me nauseous), Fiber One cereal and trying to stand up/walk around more (letting gravity help instead of laying on the couch all the time--walking around Target or picking up around the house works wonders). I've been able to go just about every day since I started this regimen, even while still taking the medicine--maybe these things will help you? I really think Fiber One is a miracle worker. I've been eating this kind and it's delicious: http://www.fiberone.com/products/cereal/honey-clusters

@MrsLMA: @tororojo: Oh my gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this horrible constipation!!!! I think this is (so far) the worst part of being pregnant!!!! I can keep the nausea away by eating often enough, but being constipated SUCKS!!!! Thanks for the tips, @tororojo, on how to deal with it! Maybe I'll start trying to eat a fiber-filled breakfast and see if that helps.

@tororojo : Thanks for the tips! I drink an incredible amount of water as is, but the FiberOne bars are a good suggestion. I tried to eat broccoli last week and just couldn't stomach it. Luckily I'm loving fruit right now so hopefully it'll help:)

@tororojo: @MrsLMA: @Adira: Um, I just was telling my husband over the weekend, I just want to poop! I was so regular before pregnancy and now it is like nothing. I drink tons of water, work out, eating fruits, making myself have salads at lunch and nothing seems to be working. I will have to look for some Fiber One bars for a snack. I can't give up bagels for breakfast cause they are just to darn yummy right now.

citrucel is a good way to get fiber in, too. Doesn't make you gassy

@Smurfette: @tororojo: @MrsLMA: hahaha, I was just telling Hubs last night "I miss my pre-pregnancy bowel movements!" I think his response was "Thanks for sharing." hahahaha. I hope adding more fiber helps, because this constipation sucks!

Yeah...I pretty much always proudly announce to my husband the times that I'm able to poop these days. I figure putting up with that is the least he can do!

Hey, we better get these husbands nice and acquainted with poop talk... pretty soon they'll be seeing a LOT more of it:) I just had some spicy tacos for lunch so I'm hoping that might get things moving:)

I ditto the pp. This "non-regularity" I am experiencing is really frustrating. And, frankly, not fun.

Oh my gosh, girls, I had a HORRIBLE dream last night that I was having a miscarriage!!!! In my dream, I went to the bathroom, and when I went to wipe, there was sooooooooo much blood! I started FREAKING OUT and then I woke up freaking out and had to rush to the bathroom to check that everything was normal! Ugh, I hope this dream is because I'm worried and not because my subconscious knows something I don't.

  23. MrsLMA

    cherry / 167 posts

@Aidra: what a terrible dream! Your mind is just playing out your fears, not giving you a premonition. I hate the feeling of waking up scared/sad from a dream- it's hard to shake that feeling all day! You deserve a treat this morning=)

  24. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@Adira: That isn't a dream, that is a nightmare! That has to be horrible. At least you had nothing like it when you went to the bathroom this morning. @MrsLMA: is right, you deserve a treat this morning! I am sure everything is fine!!

  25. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsLMA: @Smurfette: Thanks ladies!! Waking up from something like that is so freaky!!! You initially think you're still in the middle of it and it takes a minute to realize you were just dreaming! And don't worry - I had a big fatty breakfast, so I'm feeling a little better now.

@Adira: April 2013 mama (I like reading here too, as you ladies are a few weeks ahead and give me some idea of what I can expect in the coming days/months) popping over to say that I had a miscarriage dream two nights ago...sounds very much like yours. It was absolutely terrible and I have been feeling kind of down ever since. I'm sure it's just our subconscious minds playing on our fears and not any sort of psychic experience

  27. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@hergreenapples: Oh wow, glad I'm not the only one, but still, I wouldn't really wish that dream on anyone!!! I hope that's really the closest we come to miscarriage scares though!!

I'm so very sad to say I'm out. Started spotting Sunday night. It was barely anything, but got worse Monday night and Tuesday morning. I was out of state visiting my sister and family in MI. I went to the ER with her, hoping for the best, as I know many women spot and bleed in the 1st tri. When they did a physical exam, they said everything looked good, but when they did an ultrasound, the baby was measuring at 6-7 weeks, and I was supposed to be over 9 weeks. Also there was no hearbeat. I cried and cried, and spent all day and evening at the hospital. I'm healing now, but DH and I, as well as our families, are so sad. Focusing on grieving and moving on, but I'll be off the Bee for awhile. Best of luck to everyone, I hope you all have healthy pregnancies and that I can join another one of these boards soon.

In regards to constipation, I started taking 2 fiber gummys (generic from Target) daily and they have really helped me stay regular. Plus they are super delicious and taste like candy!!

Anyone else having a hard time staying focused at work? I can't tell if it's because I'm tired and not feeling well, or if I'm just pre-occupied, but I just don't seem to care at all about work right now! I'm still getting everything done, but with just with a lot less motivation!

@sheskrafty: Thanks I will have to check those out. I need something!
@aprk: So exciting! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

@MrsLMA: Me!! The fact that I am not super busy isn't helping either. Sitting at my desk all day just makes me more tired, then on the weekends when are doing stuff. I can't wait till vacation next week. I so need a break from this place!
