@cvbee: Ugh bummer!!!!
@Nskillet: Do you have a feeling about the gender? Our anatomy scan is 12/30 the day after yours! I'm still thinking boy.

Felt some definite movement from baby winnie today (17 w, 2 days)! Lots of tickling action going on : ) Feels different than what I've been feeling the past few weeks, so not sure if this is the official first movement or not. It feels really weird!
nectarine / 2039 posts
I'm waiting for 'official' movement too. I feel stuff but I'm not convinced it is baby, but rather feels much like bowels.
My Mom knows about the gender cake and I'm not sure how many of my relatives she has told. It will be fun!
My feeling is girl. (Based on timing of BD vs O a few days later)

Hey everyone! So I started feeling baby at week 16.5 but i think it's because I knew what baby movement was seeing i had 1 already.
I still don't know the sex, will know on the 29th! But can't wait to know! fingers crossed for a girl!

Blushink we are ultrasound twins! And I think due date twins!
DH and I have suspected a girl from the beginning. That probably means a boy though haha!

I updated on WB but haven't here yet. At our ultrasound Monday we found out that we're having a little girl! Pretty crazy! I went out and bought our first gendered outfits today, couldn't resist!
Good luck to everyone finding out soon! There's so many coming up, yay!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@LAGS: So exciting!!! I'm going to buy a few outfits once we find out, too!
@blushink: I thought you found out already it was a girl? Or, was that just an early guesstimate?

Getting double boob action AGAIN. I already went up a cup and band size 2 months ago. Seriously? Maybe it's just today. I can't keep running to VS every 2 months!
Also after being tickled like crazy by baby winnie on Tues., I haven't felt anything really since. Boo.

@winniebee: It was a 70% chance it was a girl. We will know for sure next week!
nectarine / 2039 posts
@LAGS: tell us about the cute outfit!
Baby girl clothes are sooooo cute! Although I'm all about getting gender neutral 'stuff', I am fully going to be going for girly clothes if it's a girl. 2 sleeps til we find out!

So, I just popped in to update, that at 21 1/2 weeks I have weaned to 1/4 of the anti-emetic meds I was on before, I think in another week or 2 I will be able to get off of them! So exciting!
Also exciting, I was able to feel baby move from outside this morning, so tonight I think hubby will be able to feel (he has tried a few times, but Ziggy is stubborn and every time DH tried, Ziggy stopped moving!).
We got some baby stuff for Christmas which was cute! Anyone else get some baby stuff for Christmas? My Mom refused to buy us baby stuff for Christmas, and bought us gifts for ourselves instead, but is treating us to our Ikea nursery furniture that we planned on buying as a post Christmas baby gift.

Me! Mom got me our first baby blanket which was all these colors and super super soft. She also gave me my first fork/spoon as a child and made me break down crying when I read her note. Dang emotions!

@MsMini: that's exciting that you might be med free soon!
My husband got me a baby hiking pack for christmas and my parents gave me the StorkSak Olivia diaper bag that I had been eying! I also got some maternity clothes and some other pregnancy goodies.

NSKILLET: thanks!
Okay, so Christmas the fam was together and polled 15-4 thinking girl vs boy. My brother even skyped-in for the big reveal. And .....it's a BOY!!!!
Since we had thought girl, it was a bit shocking, and then the next step was that I got all overwhelmed with emotion around my 5 year old boy cousins, and also we suddenly decided on the name. It made it very real!
Oh boy!!!
Got some first baby presents. Baby boy socks from grandma (bought within 12 hours of finding out girl/boy). Aunt and uncle gave us a decorative baby plate that says something like "babies are a nice way for starting people' and a mini book Dr Seuss the places you'll go, to be read in-utero. And my Mom bought our crib off our registry and it is being shipped right now. I was very good about resisting buying baby boy clothes when we were at the mall for boxing day.

Welp, im a blubbering mess because our baby wouldnt cooperate and the ultrasound tech just didnt seem interested in trying to get the baby to move. She quipped that she was there to check for health not gender. So another 4 weeks of waiting.....DH and I think girl more than anything now cause you just couldnt see anything.
Who knows, i know I should be healthy about a happy baby but i cant stop crying
nectarine / 2039 posts
@Nskillet: hugs! that is sooo disappointing! Can you go to one of those private places for a 3D ultrasound.....as a Christmas present? I've heard people are so happy with those.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@cvbee: Oh boy is right! Congratulations!!
@Nskillet: Aw, how disappointing! I guess on the upside you will get another ultrasound? (At my OB practice, the 20 week anatomy scan is the last....)
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
We have our anatomy scan tomorrow morning - excited to possibly find out the gender! Current feeling is BOY so we'll see if me and DH are right!
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@cvbee: congrats! so cute on the gifts.
@Nskillet: awww hugs! if we miss the gender at 20 weeks we don't get another scan. glad you get another chance in 4 weeks! ALSO--- drink coffee before to help wake up baby.
@winniebee: good luck tomorrow!
mine is next week. i'm thinking boy--or twins (lol--i know it's not twins).

@pastemoo: Thanks! I got down to about 1/4 meds, but I might have to increase by 1 pill per day, because I have been feeling crappy, but I am glad for progress nonetheless!
@cvbee: Congratulations again on your little boy! Glad to hear it was a fun reveal for everyone!
@Nskillet: So sorry you didn't get to find out the sex like you wanted.
@winniebee: Good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow!
We got our crib/mattress and dresser/change table this weekend, my parents treated us to the crib/change table, so that was awesome. I also got my swatches in the mail for my custom crib bedding from Etsy, so I can go out and pick a paint colour as well. We still have to finish the drywall mud and tape in our downstairs bedrooms, so we will wait to set up the nursery and paint until we move our guest room downstairs. I hope we can get the drywall up in January, and pay someone to come in and mud/tape sometime soon, so I think we can have our nursery moved and set up by the time I am 30 weeks (which was my goal). I just love getting stuff accomplished!

@MsMini: Your nursery sounds AWESOME. I'm going to live vicariously through you since I won't be doing a nursery until we move (13 months).

Ha! We were just down at the beach (ice) and ran into our neighbours (from 2 doors down) who have 2 little boys (ages 3 and 6). He said it is good for us that we are having a boy, because his boys are already interested in their penises. ! Never thought of it that way.
