Hi! I'm 7 weeks. Due in May, but the doctors haven't given me a due date yet. They seem to think I'm farther along than I think I am.

9 weeks now. So close to the 2nd trimester, but yet so far away. More weeks behind me than ahead of me though!

10 weeks - due May 22! I'm eating like I never have before. Anyone else have to eat 5x (or more) a day?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@pro - yes, me! I am eating or snacking constantly. Had pretty crazy hunger from the time I got a BFP. If I don't eat every few hours I get shaky and a little nauseous. No morning sickness though so I think I will take the hunger!!

How's everyone doing? Allllmost 11 weeks. Anyone feel like the first few weeks went SO slowly and the last few weeks fly by?

I haven't seen my doc yet but according to pregnancy calendars I'm due May 18th (which was my own due date in 83)

I am due in May as well, due date is May 5th 2012, so I am 13 weeks 6 days today! I was super sick for the first trimester, but have finally gotten on a good combination of anti-emetic meds, so I feel like a new (albeit sleepy) person the past few days!

Hi! I am 12w5d now. I haven't been on this site in ages.
How is everyone feeling?
I feel dizzy and light headed and sometimes still nauseous.

Due May 10th aka 14 weeks now, and lemon size baby! Feeling like I've got great energy during the day, but I still go to sleep about an hour or so earlier than pre-pregnancy. I'm also feeling a bit fat in the middle! I try to hold things in front of me at work and lean over a lot so no one sees my bump. I also feel full all the time, but can still eat massive amounts of food. This week's favourite foods: mandarin oranges and grilled cheese.....not together. This weekend I'm telling my grandmothers, and after that, we will start spilling the secret randomly every day.......facebook official probably in about another 2 weeks.

Hey everyone! I'm 12 wks 4 days now...I clearly am here quite a bit : )
I feel good. Still hungry hungry hippo and feeling pretty chubby lately. Maternity pants are heaven, but still doing the bella band to try to get the most out of my work clothing. I haven't weighed myself in 2+ weeks and really don't want to know! I wouldn't say I have popped, but I definitely have a little bulge.
We are announcing our news now, and I'm about to tell my work. Dreading it.
I shut down my FB wall about a week ago b/c I didn't want anyone posting "Congratulations!" before I have a chance to tell everyone that I want to tell. I don't know about a FB announcement yet.

Hey everyone! I just came over here from Weddingbee! I am due on May 9ths, so I am almost 16 weeks!

Hello everyone. I'm due May 17th, so I'm 15 wks 6 days. So glad that most symptoms are gone, except for the occasional need for a nap. I too feel that first trimester went by soo slow. Cant wait for baby to arrive
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
16w5d ! Wooo. I still feel like I'm not really pregnant sometimes. It's so weird. I mean, with the bloody noses and dizziness, I guess I have some symptoms. Anyone feel the baby move yet? I want to so badly!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Let's get this thread going!! We are all having or about to have anatomy scans now. I just can't believe it!
16w 5 days and feeling good now!
clementine / 916 posts
Ohh I didn't know there was a May thread here! According to my Dr. (or her pinwheel...) I'm due May 8, but based on my cycles I'm going with May 12.
@pastemoo: I've been feeling baby for a while now but in the last week its become a lot more pronounced and is starting to take on a bit of a schedule. He's always super active mid-morning, around dinner time and again before bed around 10/11pm.
@winniebee: Based on the dating of your last u/s has your Dr. changed your due date?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@LAGS: Since there is a May thread on Wb, I feel like this one is kinda quiet. But I figure as people migrate over here, it would be fun to keep this thread going too! She hasn't changed it yet - I think they would only change it if I consistently measured a week ahead of my due date. Also, I'm pretty sure of my date of conception (within a day, based on ovulation tracking).
I can't be sure if I'm feeling movement yet - I have felt a few little flutters here and there but nothing consistent and nothing distinctly different than gas!
clementine / 959 posts
I'm due with my first May 9, so I'm 19 weeks along. I've been feeling movement since 15 weeks, but just flutters, no real kicks yet. Tons of movement when I eat Chipotle, whatever that means! haha.
We have our anatomy scan on Monday so hopefully we'll find out the sex!
Last few weeks have been so much better than the first trimester! I feel as great as I did pre-pregnancy, except that I pass out on the couch by 9pm every night.
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@LAGS: So cool! This week I've been sick and in some random pain and I am pretty sure I am feeling baby--and if it's what I think it is, it's a few times a day!
@winniebee: Yup, wb is still more active.
@duckduckkristen: Cool! ours is probably in 4 weeks or so. Hum..

Hi Ladies- moving over from the other thread.
I'm due with #2 on May 17th.
I'm currently 18 weeks and will have the anatomy scan/hopefully find out the gender a week from today!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@mommacommaphd: Awesome, should we do a recap??
*******
DUE DATE: May 27, 2012
FIRST TIME MOMMA: YES!
AGE: 31
GENDER: Not sure yet, but we find out on December 30! I have had a strong feeling it's a boy since day 1 and DH thinks he saw boy parts at a recent ultrasound....
STATUS: Feeling good and excited for the holidays! 16w+5 and have a nice little pregnant lady belly : )
clementine / 916 posts
@winniebee: Right, that makes sense. At least you know your little bean is growing like a champ!
@duckduckkristen: We have our anatomy scan on Monday too. It's going to be the longest weekend ever!
@mommacommaphd: Congrats! Is #1 a big brother or sister in waiting?
Is there anyone posting here who also posts on WB that doesn't have an obvious/similar screen name?
DUE DATE: May 12
FIRST TIME MOMMA: Yes
AGE: 25
GENDER: Finding out Dec 19 and absolutely no intuition.
STATUS: 18w5d. Feeling pretty good with the exception of headaches and a little anxiety over our second-tri screening.
grapefruit / 4278 posts
Hey everyone! I've been over on the WB thread, but I guess I should post here too. I'm so excited to start hearing about everyone's anatomy scans in the next few weeks. It's really nice to hear from people that are about at the same stage I am, it really makes me feel a little less crazy about all that's going on.
Due date: May 17th
First time Momma: Count me in!
Age: 29
Gender: We find out on the 21st!!!
Status: 18w1d and I already feel huge. I can feel my muscles over my belly stretch and I get indigestion pretty easily, like my stomach is already squished, yay? I've also been woken up with some killer calf cramps the last few nights. We're going to visit my family next week though (where we're getting the elective ultrasound done) which will be the first time I've seen my parents since we found out I was pregnant. They are so stinking excited and I can't wait to give my family a chance to participate in some of this pregnancy journey.
Any other first time mom's significantly far away from their family? I wish my Mom was nearer to be more of a part of all this.
clementine / 959 posts
@kiddosc I live a good 8 hour drive from my huge family so I only see them a few times a year. Not seeing them much while I'm pregnant doesn't bother me too much, but I know I'm going to miss them once the baby comes, so I'm sure we'll try to visit them more often and they'll probably come down more to see the baby (and us). My husband's family lives nearby though so we see them fairly often and they are very excited!
grapefruit / 4056 posts
I will post here as well! Here is my recap:
DUE DATE: May 5
FIRST TIME MOMMA: Yep!
AGE: 28
GENDER: Team green - but have a feeling it is a boy.
STATUS: 19w6d. Still fighting the MS monster. Had a good anatomy scan last night (will see my OB for results monday), followed by a crappy day today, so I am wallowing on the couch tonight in self-pity.
clementine / 916 posts
@kiddosc: My family is in Canada about 9hrs away and DH's family is out of state and about 5hrs away. I second that the tough part for us is going to be once the baby comes. I know my Mom will find it difficult being so far from her first grandchild. DH and I are already discussing a move closer to both sides of the family within the next couple years.
nectarine / 2039 posts
Hey Ladies.
Had my scan yesterday and will discuss results with my OB next week. We think it's a girl, but we'll find out on Christmas when we cut into our gender-reveal cake!
This week my tummy is definitely big. Now, I posted a tummy shot on wedding bee when I thought I had a showing tummy, but it seemed to be camera shy, but now I am sure. Today, two different people came up to me at work and congratulated me. They must have missed my announcement. They said this week they noticed my bumpy tummy and asked another staff member if I was pregnant. So, at exactly 19 weeks today, it's official: I'm showing!
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@LAGS: Yay, you're finding out this week! So excited for you!
@kiddosc: Yes. We are in VA. My family is in CA and his is in OH, so it's pretty lonely out here. We also aren't really laying down roots because we don't like the area and are moving in just over a year. Can't wait to leave this place.
@MsMini: Sorry you still have M/S! Been so difficult for you!
@cvbee: So cool that's you're officially showing! I can't wait!
DUE DATE: May 21, 2012
FIRST TIME MOMMA: Yes
AGE: 28
GENDER: Don't know. Can't call to schedule the anatomy scan till Monday, so it will probably be around Jan 1 (20 weeks!).
STATUS: 18 weeks and feel like I'm showing but no one seems to notice. Feeling waaaay more emotional that I should be at this point. Wish I could *do* something, I feel like I have such passive involvement with this baby!
Also... For the last week I have been feeling baby kick a few times a day. Such a weird feeling! And so cool. Poor hubby is totally jealous.

Moving in over from the the other thread, thanks winnie!!
Due Date: May 13-15th
Age: 28
Gender: Not yet! But the big reveal is 12/29! Hubby and I keep dreaming its a girl and think it is but will be thrilled either way!
Status: 19 weeks today and have an anterior placenta. Movement happens mostly at night and feels like rolls more than punches or kicks. All in all feeling wayyy better than my first trimester but have moments of serious exhaustion still. Anyone else wanna take a long nap when eating bread? Ive been staying away from it because of that!!
grapefruit / 4056 posts
@pastemoo: Thanks! The MS seems to be getting a bit better this week than it has been, so I am somewhat hopeful I will be able to wean off of meds in the next month or 2!
nectarine / 2039 posts
Do any of you ladies know when you will be having showers? I feel like it is 'normal' to wait until 3rd trimester and even late in 3rd trimester for the shower. But I really really want to get things ready early. My Mom is gifting us our crib for christmas and we'll be picking up the dresser drawers on the holidays too. Then I'm going to want to move forward with everything else......hoping for early showers here. Or should I just get what I want and know that showers can be for the less essential stuff?
I have one in-town-friends shower on the radar for the end of March. (Which will be around 34 weeks for me).
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@MsMini: Good luck! I hope you get to get off the meds--that would be so cool!
@cvbee: I probably won't have one.
Or... if I do, probably in April, or early May. We'll see, I guess. I just hardly know anyone here!
coconut / 8498 posts
@cvbee: I've been wondering about that too. I'll have one here later in the 3rd trimester, but the ones in my hometown and in hubs' hometown will be late-Feb at the latest. I just don't really want to fly too far into the 3rd trimester... not because I think it will be dangerous, but because I don't want to be that uncomfortable
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@cvbee: I think I'll have mine when I'm like 32 or 34 weeks (April 1 or April 15). That's when the timing will work out best for my family (who is throwing the shower). My mom also is pushing me to have it at least 6 wks before my due date....because my sister delivered her first baby 6 wks early!
cherry / 149 posts
I had my shower when I was 34 weeks. If I hadn't lived so far away (and my health plan didn't refuse coverage if you traveled outside the service area after 36 weeks), it probably would have been even later.
My family likes to wait until the last possible date.
nectarine / 2039 posts
Thanks ladies.
Hope everyone is feeling well.
I have my ultrasound interpretation today where the doctor will tell me what all the measurements mean. Looking forward to it. I want the OB to agree with me on my due date, and he thinks this ultrasound will settle the matter. (He goes by the LMP and I was charting and have insisted on my proper ovulation date that I charted....which is about a two week difference.)
Hope there aren't any 'issues' with the baby, but I am always trying to prepare myself for that.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@cvbee: Good luck today!! I bet you (not your doc) are right on the date. Are you currently going by "your" due date or his?
nectarine / 2039 posts
@winniebee: Thanks! I'm definitely going by my due date, because I was a really good charter, and I even took a HPT two days before my positive and it was negative, so if he was right that would have for sure shown up. Just looking forward to him seeing that I'm right.
Looks like I'll have to wait another month though, because the ultrasound reporter is apparently behind in his work and didn't have my report done yet (from a week ago!). My doc will get the typed report in the next day or so and he said if there are any issues that he will contact me to talk about it, and otherwise he'll just wait til my next appointment in 4 weeks. So that's that.
4 more days til we cut the gender cake and find out the sex!
persimmon / 1099 posts
@CVBEE ack! Im so excited for your reveal!! Does your family know this is how you're doing this in advance? So exciting, Dh and I and my MIL go for our 20 week gender screen on 12/29. Im like counting down the minutes because I want to know what we are having so bad!
